Just returned from a brilliant two night stay at this modern and newly renovated and 1st class B&B.
Fantastic location, 2 mins from beach and a 5 min dander into town centre. Our room was superb with massive modern bathroom, top notch bed linen and very comfortable beds. The breakfast menu is very extensive and included smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, full frys, pancake stacks topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries crispy bacon topped with maple syrup, delicious! My favourite was the porridge with Drambuie liqueur, brown sugar and cream, the nicest porridge I've ever had Gail is a fantastic cook.
The thing that really stood out for me was how spotlessly clean and modern this boutique B&B is, the owner was very aware of social distancing and made sure everyone was spaced out in the dining room in the mornings which was very reassuring. Each bedroom even had a discreet hand sanitizer pump supplied which was great. Thank you Frank & Gail for a wonderful stay, we'll most definitely be back!

The owner of the b& b Frank couldn't do enough for us, he asked if there was anything we particularly wanted for breakfast, I asked him for croissants and he had 4 for me, there was also fresh fruit, full breakfast toast anything you wanted was no bother, the bedroom had 2 double beds and a en suite, which was a good size, there was 4 of us and we had plenty of room, the room and bathroom were spotless I cannot fault it. There were fresh towels, and the beds were so comfortable. When we arrived Frank and his wife made us so welcome. I would definitely book again I cannot say a bad thing about the mandalay ,

Just spent another few days at The Mandalay. As before it was the perfect place to stay. Gail and Frankie are very welcoming hosts. The premises are spotless and the breakfast menu is varied and delicious, with something to suit everyone.

The accommodation is of a very high standard. The bedrooms are warm and the beds are comfy. In addition to the standard kettle, tea and coffee there are a variety of snacks provided, including Kit Kats! Each room also has a television with Netflix provided as standard.

The premises are ideally situated. It’s only a short walk to the railway station, beach and all the great restaurants Portrush has to offer.

I’ve already made reservations for my next visit.

I have recently stayed here and my experience with the host of this B&B was horrendous. He repeatedly spoke to me like a child and questioned were I was going and when I would be back. He again repeatedly told me no noise keep the noise down and we don't usually let young people stay here (I am nearly 30 and my partner is 30) this was just after meeting the man after about 3 mins I hadn't actually made any noise or give the impression that I would be making noise. He also repeatedly told me he has to be up for 6.30am and to make no noise. When telling me about breakfast he said that breakfast is 8.30 to 10.00am what time will you be down and I had said 8.30/9am he then told me "good" . I felt completely uncomfortable and unwanted in this B&B and if I was able to go else were I would have but unfortunately it was to late. The B&B room was lovely but unfortunately the man was not and I will not be returning it was absolutely the worst reception I have ever had. The host did apologise the following day at breakfast and offered us a free stay and breakfast saying that he assumed that we were going to be partying and he doesn't often get it wrong but he was wrong this time. I felt i needed to post this as the host was extremely rude in my opinion and even though the room is for free next time my stay was completely ruined and I was put on edge by the man that I will not be staying again for free or not... I will say though that the B&B was extremely clean and well presented it was a beautiful room and breakfast and a lovely place to stay if you don't mind rudeness from the host.

We made a last minute reservation and were greeted in the venue by Frank. He sets a benchmark exceptionally high in hospitality; he is super friendly, funny and made sure that our stay was very relaxing. He also gave us recommendations for dinner places in town and even gave us a lift to town! Breakfast with Frank was a great start of another good day in the area.

The room we stayed at was large and very clean with two double beds and very big bathroom. Mandalay is situated about 12 minutes walk from the harbour where most food and drinks venues are located so we give five stars for location as well. There is also plenty of on street parking in the area.

We recommend staying at Mandalay.

Spacious rooms in a spotless clean modern building.
the owners Frankie and Gail are so friendly ,make you feel so welcome and anything you need to know about the area they can advise you off the top of their head.,even the beautiful beach is basically just around the corner.
Breakfast was perfect and plentiful after a great nights sleep...would recommend
Mandalay Bay as one of the best short stay cool places i have ever stayed around the whole of the Antrim coast ...
if 110% was possible they would deserve it....

At short notice, we booked this charming B & B where Gail and Frank were very charming hosts. Both were very helpful in informing us about Portrush and the surrounding areas and we enjoyed very comfortable nights sleep. One of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time, served in a lovely room with a lovely ambience and Franks recommendation of the smoked salmon with poached eggs......BEAUTIFUL. Well worth a visit, thank you again.

Stayed here for one night recently. We had a family room (2 doubles + large ensuite). The room itself was lovely - maintained to a high standard. It was spotless and felt quite new. The beds were really comfortable and the decor was really nice. We had booked it at really short notice so I had wondered if this might cause some issues (with room readiness for example) but it didn't at all.

We don't usually think of B&B's when booking accommodation but we had limited choice on this occasion. Mandalay stood out and proved to be 100% the right choice and it felt more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Overall, a much nicer experience than some of the hotels we've been to recently.

Great location; close to the town centre and the beaches. Parking is on street but we had no problems with getting a space right outside the door.
Frank was a great host and was happy to spend time chatting and providing advice on the local area which was very helpful. He even had lollipops for the kids :-)

Breakfast was delicious with something on the menu for everyone. Also the small buffet provided some extra choice and treats. We could tell that a lot of thought and effort has gone into preparing everything - from the food to the room to the decor. Everything was a high standard.

Mandalay is a gem and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Frank!!

My sister and I recently stayed at the Mandalay for 2 nights. We absolutely loved the place. We could not find fault with anything. The beds were very comfortable, the room and en-suite were spotless and Frank was the perfect host; he was very helpful and nothing was too much bother for him. Breakfast was excellent, the service was very prompt and Frank kept us entertained with his chat. The Mandalay will be our number 1 place to stay next time we visit Portrush. Sharon and Margaret

We booked an overnight stay as family of 4. We were warmly welcomed by Frank (owner). The decor, hygiene, comfort within the room with its spacious en-suite facilities was first class. The menu & choices for breakfast was a pleasant surprise and the presentation / standard was excellent. I would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast as it’s location is amenable to Portrush town centre, restaurants and beach 🏖. Will definitely re-book Mandalay.

The room we were in was for 2 adults and 2 children but there would have been room for a travel cot if you were bringing one.
