Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in one of the cabins and had a great time, Cyndy and Glyn were excellent hosts. The cabin was spacious for two couples and we had plenty of room to host dinner with other friends who rented another cabin. Great views and sunset on the lake.

Campers beware!! We do not recommend this campground‼️

I'm a business owner myself so I understand customer service and doing what we can to keep our clients happy. However these new owners have no customer service skills at all!! They are the true definition of bullies!!

Although it is a beautiful spot and an amazing place prior to being sold, the new owners are extremely rude. We have been in this park for 4 years and our last year there was absolute hell thanks to the new owners!!

With new owners, new rules we get it. We sold our 4wheeler(not allowed in the park) bought a golf cart, sold our trailer (too old to stay) bought a brand new park model trailer. Our site was on top of a septic tank beside the bathrooms facing the house, a really wet area. Not the best site but we made it work and tried our best to respect the property by not driving our big truck to our site due to worrying about damaging all the drainage pipes & septic under the ground. We parked our truck at our friends site when they weren't there with permission from them, owners rudely approached us stating they received complaints of parking there & made us park on our site.

We drove our golf cart on the lawn to save the owners lawn mower from getting chewed up by the gravel our tires were picking up. The owners purposely closed off all areas of the lawn so we had no choice but to drive on gravel pathway and sure enough, all you could hear was the gravel pinging off the blades. They never talked to us about why we did what we did.
One weekend we had company, we had our toy hauler until our new trailer arrived, we had the back door down, and side door open with the fan on, playing games with our company out front. The owner came over and abruptly accused us of running our A/C unit!! How rude!! WHY would we want to burn out our a/c unit running it with the trailer wide open??
The new owners have zero respect for any of their seasonal campers, a water pipe broke around dinner time one day, they didn't notify anyone, which caused havoc for all of the seasonal campers. Then they started to lock the public bathrooms without notifying anyone they were locked, they gave the keys to their friends to hang onto which forced people to wake these people up during the night to get the keys to go to the bathroom, it was so uncomfortable for our friends who were camping in their tent trailer. Side note: The bathrooms were filthy all the time.
The owners did a lot of work on the property during the year but not once did they notify any of the seasonal campers or Cottagers so people were forced to listen tractors and other equipment during their holidays instead of letting everyone know what was being done and when.
Then there's the leaf burning. They would burn all the leaves which filled all the campers down wind with the smoke from burning the leaves.STAY CLEAR IN THE SPRING!! And to top it all off, July long weekend the owners got drunk with their friends and threw fireworks that didn't get set off into the burning fire pit, I watched from my trailer. Safety 101 never throw fireworks into a campfire. They have no regard of safety for their customers.
Oh don't forget about the monthly news letter which turned into a bitch letter monthly. Nothing positive was ever posted, just reinstated the rules everyone was already aware of. It would have been a perfect opportunity to post when work was going to be done so people could plan their vacations around it.
They also decided to dump corn into the lake around the docks trying to get rid of the weeds, meanwhile we don't even have Carp in our lake, talk about polluting the lake! They are also doing work around the shoreline, cutting cattails etc disturbing wild life. I'm sure the Ministry would love to investigate.
When we got told our site wasn't being renewed due to building a garage on our site (on a septic tank) and that we weren't able to get another site (with our brand new trailer due to arrive within 2 months) we were in panic mode but thankfully we were able to secure a beautiful site right on the lake at Gull Lake Cottages Campground and the owners there are amazing.

Do yourself a favour and stay away from this campground. Looks can be deceiving and like I said they have no respect for their clients, their safety nor the environment, They took this beautiful peaceful place and turned it into a stressful nightmare for everyone.

Ps. I wrote the same review on their fb page and the owner replied not knowing who we were, when I called Cyndy out on it she deleted her comment.

Not sure what the person with the horrific review was going on about, we have been in the park going on our 3rd season, the owners are nothing but friendly gracious people who seem to respect everyone.

The park itself is super clean and well maintained, the people renting spots have been friendly and respectful to others. The lot sizes are huge where as most parks I have seen look like a subdivision all crammed together, not the case here!

I know I heard about the 4 wheel vehicles not allowed to be driven within the park site to site but are allowed to exit and find trails off property, seems fair!

The public washrooms are always available and have never been locked without notice from the management first, same goes for any water issues, if a pipe breaks we are informed and they are always quick to fix any and all issues that arise.

I have also never seen the owners or renters cutting, changing or manipulating the waterfront in anyway, everyone is VERY respectful to the local Eco system.

New docks were installed last year, they are amazing, very safe and stable.

All in all nothing but good things to say about this place, a little piece of heaven!

Would definitely recommend this place 100%
