Conveniently located near Bordeaux airport, this hotel has a shuttle bus to the airport (two minutes drive). We stayed one night (actually a few hors) as we arrived late (22h00) for a departure from the hotel at 8AM. We had booked a room with extra child bed and did the online check in, as we are enrolled to the hotel loyalty programme. When we arrived we were happily upgraded to an executive room but the child bed was not in place. So the staff very friendly brought it in the room for us but we had to wait sometime before this was done. Room rather small but al in all a good stay before we headed to the airport. Please note that the shuttle bus is actually a van and it can only accommodate 6 persons, so make sure you are a few minutes earlier at the reception otherwise other guests get priority in the van.

Very nice hotel with pleasant pool + garden environment. Friendly staff and very handy shuttle service. It was very warm when we visited Bordeaux; so, relaxing at the pool on comfortable chairs was a real treat. The room was quite large although I did not appreciate getting one on the 1st floor (overlooking a gravel roof) when clearly there was lots of space available. Also, I guess because it was Sunday and because the hotel was not full, they offered only ‘room-service’ food options, both for lunch and for dinner, which really wasn’t too good. (Note: it seems to have had nothing to do with the COVID scenario because two days later (when my sister stayed there), a full menu was offered.

Quite a few guests but no shuttle to the airport on easter saturday.
Bed very hard and plastic illumintated headboard squeaked in the surround - makes for a poor night's sleep.
Bath with non thermostatic shoer over it - old fashioned and not in a good way
Staff helpful and doing their best to manage the Covid limits obliging meals in the bedroom etc. but a second chair (even a fold up seat) would have been better than one chair and one of us sitting on the bed to eat.
Will be well positioned when new tram route opened later this year

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Hôtel Mercure Bordeaux Aéroport. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Rest assured that the necessary measures will be implemented to improve the quality of the services mentioned. It is true that we had to adapt our free shuttle service according to our activity directly linked to the current health situation. Therefore the service is no longer available on weekends. Of course, we hope to return to a normal situation as quickly as possible in order to regain all of our services and all the friendliness of our customer service. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Mercure Bordeaux Aéroport and offering you our best regards.

The bed was terrible. Extremely soft on one side. There was no minibar and breakfast was €16 per person extra which was a complete rip off. The room was clean but small. The TV was about 40” but with a very basic selection of channels. There were no usb connection facilities on either side of the bed. The hotel was too expensive for the service we received.

I stayed here because it said free airport shuttle and pool. Airport shuttle only starts running at 5 30am pretty bad for a airport and they don't state that in the add. I had to literally get 10 keys made they told me "we change our keys in October so sometimes they get messed up". I tried to have dinner half hour no one came so left. Pool had a cleaner in it with a long hose I had to constantly move and wasn't heated. Mildew in shower. Toilet roll literally was held together with exposed screws and kept falling off. Most expensive hotel in the area has the possibility of being nice but clearly very poorly mismanaged. I would have stayed downtown about night and just taken a cab to the airport if I knew how crappy it would be. Checking out the man was confused and took 15 minutes. Not ok for check out when going to an airport. Save ur money skip this hotel.

No one at check in bothered to tell us that the AC and heat were turned off to save money (they said broken, but worked in reception area) and that the windows were in disrepair and couldn't be opened. So we paid $165 for a room to hot to sleep in (and humid, after a shower). Rooms are dated and quite small. Soundproofing is poor so you will likely hear your neighbors.

I would have rated it a low average except for the high price for low quality making it a poor choice. Many better places to stay near the airport. Also road construction nearby makes driving out from hotel a nightmare.

Dear Sir, The entire Mercure Bordeaux Aéroport team would like to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us after your stay. We are very sorry to hear that you encountered problems during your stay and here we apologize for the inconvenience. In mid-season we actually cut our ventilation system and we need between 48h and 72h to reverse the system. It is a different system at the reception and in the rooms. We will ask our technical service to check the opening of the window in order to remedy it as quick as possible. Our hotel was completely renovated in 2019. Decorating tastes are very personal and we understand that we cannot please everyone. Regarding the work of the future tramway, we are indeed impacted by them being at the heart of the project. We are sorry for the difficulties you may have encountered in reaching us. Once again, we apologize to you. We hope to be able to continue to count you among our customers and, while awaiting the pleasure of welcoming you back to the very beautiful city of Bordeaux, please accept, Sir, the expression of our sincere greetings.

As corporate hotels go it's OK - lots of practical wipe clean surfaces (good for people with urinary issues).

Its massive downfall is that across the road is a venue that plays very loud, horrid garage type music until the cock crows and given that the hotel on certain nights operates a no air con approach apparently, one's only way of getting any respite from heat is to open the windows onto the party.

Clearly in a room that's floor to ceiling vinyl, should you book a room on the wrong night of the week - when the music's really thumpin and the hotel decides to disallow aircon - rather that enjoying a minute's shut eye you'll find yourself sliding around in sweaty plastic until you'll absolutely have to open the windows at which point the 'like or not' party sound will ensure that you don't get a wink.

Proximity to the airport is good, I wouldn't go back though. Like ever.

Our flight was due at 11:30pm and we were told a shuttle bus would be available until midnight. The flight was delayed so I phoned the hotel to see if the bus was still available or if a taxi could be arranged. No answer from the call, just a reaping message like a radio jingle in french. We managed to get a taxi which cost €20 for a two minute ride! Not happy! On arrival we were greeted well and given our key. The room was comfortable enough but the fridge only contained 1 bottle of water and nothing else! No proper cups and saucers, just small paper ones. We expected a bit more than one bottle of water and paper cups. The breakfast was very good though. I suppose this is a "first impressions count" scenario and we weren't impressed. The poor facilities and the very expensive taxi didn't help.

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Hôtel Mercure Bordeaux Aéroport. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. However, as far as our room products are concerned, we fully respect the Mercure hospitality products for each of the 3 categories of our rooms. Also, concerning taxi fares, we understand and concede that they are expensive, but this cannot be our fault as we have no agreement with the taxi companies. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Mercure Bordeaux Aéroport and offering you our best regards.

The bed was good and welcome. The reception and the rude waitress were, well, just hopeless. The restaurant food was reduced to the room service menu. Ask for salt and pepper and I got those tiny airplane sachets.
The shuttle driver seemed to double as cook.
On requesting the shuttle for return to airport with lots of luggage I was told by the receptionist that he will not take me directly to the terminal. I walk with a stick.
Got a taxi to the terminal. 15euro. Taxi driver said this ridiculous, of course the shuttle could take you to the terminal.

We spent a night at the end of our holiday and we’re pleasantly surprised from entering the spacious lobby. The decor was pleasant included a water wall and living wall features, and we were surprised to see an outdoor pool and seating area. We were greeted by friendly staff and our room 314 looked recently refurbished with a Japanese theme. The air con was welcome and the bed comfortable and bathroom had a good shower, no bath. Facilities were good, including a kettle and coffee pod machine. Dinner was good although the menu was limited. We were offered an outside table or inside. The table linen was good. Breakfast was good and the wide selection was delicious. The shuttle was efficient and comfortable. All staff were friendly. We recommend this airport hotel highly. Thankyou for a comfortable stay.

how early are your aiport shuttles on weekends and how much would a taxi be
Answer from John Joseph M

From memory the shuttle begins at 0530hrs which is very tight , even if you have either preprinted or down loaded your boarding pass , if you are catching the 0615hrs to CDG Paris as passing through security can be slow. A taxi costs 10€ and takes approx. 4/5mins. If the weather is pleasant and you have only minimum / hand luggage it can be walked in approx 15 or so mins .
