Room with kettle great . Cool . Air conditioning.
Sad about the difficult check in . Staff friendly and helpful.
Things that are OK: the bed is quite comfortable, shower is okay, breakfast offers few options but is fine. Coffeemaker in the room is a plus.
Not so good: cleanliness, the blackout curtains only work if you keep the windows closed and the air conditioning on. Window open means a lot of ambient light. Reception closes at nine.
I’m under the impression that better options are available close by. Not recommended.
After several phonecalls in which we had to insist (one person told us that we had to leave the car on the street) after a while someone from another hotel came and brought us to a nearby hotel where we could park the car safely. Took a 10 minutes walk in the rain back to the hotel.
Not the service you expect when you arrive tired after a long journey. Problem is that there is no staff available who can solve the problems.
This hotel is dreadful. The Receptionist on arrival was extremely rude and unaccommodating. The decor is laughable - like something out of the Hotel Inspector BEFORE she makes changes! They gave us one paper coffee cup between the 3 of us. The room was NOT large enough to accommodate a family. The lighting was inadequate. There was no bar, no restaurant, no facilities other than a vending machine with chocolate bars in it.
To cap it all, we had to leave early the next day to catch our flight from Bordeaux and found that the exterior gate was locked. There are no staff on site at all and we were starting to panic. Then I noticed a small sign written in French that I managed to translate which said that the code to let yourself out is on the room key. What a farce!
This hotel calls itself a "boutique" hotel and thinks that it is quirky. I love the idea of somewhere very individual and with character but this establishment does not achieve that. Appalling customer service too.
A very basic hotel, clean and comfortable, close to a main road but you couldn't hear any noise from it, the food in the restaurant was very nice and I couldn't fault the breakfasts either
The hotel , bed bathroom, etc, were very good and clean. The breakfast is not that much but ok for a hotel with that size, less then 20 rooms I gues.
It's near the highway and easily o find and has is own private parking area.
The only thing is to manage on time o get there if you are stuck in a lot of traffic jams.
Next year again.
kind regards
Jack
"Arrive before 9PM. Consider where to eat, because there isn’t much close by. Take the car to Gradignan or Pessac for dinner."Read full review
