We just left the hotel this morning on a stop over night from Spain to the Netherlands. First of all the staff of this hotel is fantastic! Never have I stayed in a hotel where everyone was so friendly from the reception to the restaurant etc. Thank you all for that. Hotel is all you need for a nice stop over, restaurant on site, good food and even a pool for the kids to enjoy after hours in a car. We booked a family room which consists of two connected rooms with one big bed, two single beds airco and two bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable and it us nice to have a room where everyone can have their own space. The one unfortunate experience we had is that there was a short circuit in the lights in one room which caused the lights to go on and off several times all night. Although we understand that those things can happen it does not help my rest or my husbands rest specially when you drove 10h and have another 10 to go. When checking out this morning I explained the situation at the reception and although she was very apologetic no compensation was offered. About 1 h later I received a call from the hotel explaining how they had been made aware of the situation and that the electrician had had a look and indeed there was a malfunction. Again very apologetic and sincere but no offer of some sort of compensation, free breakfast of some voucher. On a room of 165euro plus 90 for dinner and 48 for breakfast, having not slept all night a gesture would have appreciated. All in all a great place with friendly people and things can happen so i would recommend this hotel but a gesture would have come a long way on a bill of 300 euros for 1 night. Regars, Maite Vazquez

Visited the hotel on a recommendation.
Comfortable beds, pretty quiet.
Car parking ok.
Food ok, nice eggs at breakfast. Fresh orange squeezer.
Outside pool was frozen out of season.
A bit off the road to find - use sat nav.
One to go back to again.

I booked a (not refundable) room+breakfast offer ; this was not taken into account at check in : only the room booking was considered.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the comfort of the beds as well as the tranquility of the place. However, we are sorry for the misunderstanding regarding the offer that you saw on the chain's website, but did not actually book on it. Best Western has offers on its website, but you have to make a reservation there. Our hotel also has its own website and its own offers. We are sorry that you did not understand this. As far as our location is concerned, we are indeed situated in an industrial area, but this ensures that our guests have easy access to the main roads and quiet, peaceful nights, as you have seen. Please stay away from this hotel, the front desk people smell like they smoke 10 packages a day. They are outright rude and the room is filfthy. It is very far from the city center of Bordeaux which is a lovely city.

Great welcome, good value for money. Staff were helpful and spoke their languages. Swimming pool is nice to cool off, nothing more. We stayed for one night and did not try the restaurant, menu didn't look appetizing.

The rooms are a decent size and are very clean and modern. The pool is very good (we spent all day at this pool). To say how small it is it isn’t that bad at all. Unfortunately there isn’t many places to eat nearby and we had to resort to Uber Eats because all the shops where closed. Overall though very good stay and I would come back again!

Used the hotel as an overnight stop and was very pleased with the accommodation. Hotel could easily be used for a longer stay.
Receptionist was extremely helpful when I had made a mistake on the booking and helped me contact the booking company and alter the reservation.
Room is fairly standard and was well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Comfortable bed and good linen.
Didn't have breakfast as I left early and unfortunately did not have the opportunity to use the pool.

I would normally not have chosen this level of hotel, but was tempted by the high review rating and was pleasantly surprised. Good upgrade rooms, great beds, very well breakfast service, and friendly staff. So a great place to sleep while driving through France.

I stayed in the Comfort Hotel side back in January, 2014, while the Quality Hotel portion was under construction. I liked my stay so much, with the very friendly staff, that I came back with my wife and stayed in the Quality Hotel for our recent trip. The location provides convenient access to the coast to the west, the Medoc wine region to the north and the Pessac Leognan wine region to the south if one has a car. Bordeaux access is also relatively convenient with a nearby bus route to a tram to downtown. The Quality rooms are very comfortable--larger than the typical European hotel room with a spacious bathroom. We did not use the restaurant for dinner since it did not open until too late for us. Breakfast had a good selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I do not remember specific names, but the front desk staff always greeted us with a smile, was always willing to answer our questions, and provided excellent advice on things to do. Our only negative experience was on the last day while my wife was waiting for me to return from my work obligations to pick her up. One of the female staff or managers went on a very long and very loud tirade in the office, but with the door open. This made my wife very uncomfortable causing a bad end to what was otherwise a very great stay. I hope this is not a common occurrence with this person.
