Quinta do Covanco dates back to the XIX century and is marked by a rural architectural style derived from the agricultural activities my grandfather performed in the past, namely vines. This imposing infrastructure was adapted to provide every comfort and a family atmosphere to those who visit us... Quinta do Covanco's excellent location allows you to have a thoroughly deserved few days' break as well as getting to know other historic sites that are worth visiting such as Lisbon, Sintra.

Spent last night in Quinta do Covanco for a wedding nearby. The rooms are very spacious, perfect cleaninless. Wonderful breakfast, a lot of variety of breads, fruit, cakes. The people are very friendly and attentive. Quinta do Covanco is a very traditional and quiet place, just 30 minutes from Lisbon.

This ten room converted farmhouse offers spacious rooms with stylish en-suite facilities in a semi-rural setting just a short stroll from the facilities in the town of Alenquer. Rooms have air conditioning and television. Breakfast is a relaxed event each morning (time to suit the guests) in the elegantly furnished high ceilinged dining room. Freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee, hams, salami, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereals, eggs - in fact, almost anything you'd like - are supplied in a seemingly endless stream with super fresh bread.
There are steamer chairs in an area of the garden where guests may sit under the shade of the trees and enjoy the sunshine. The garden also features a small swimming pool.
It's the small details that make this a special place to stay; all the cutlery, china, glassware, towels, bed linen etc. features the farm's monogram. Fresh flowers are displayed in the hall/reception area alongside antiques. The welcome is warm and helpful but not intrusive.
We stayed at Quinta do Covanco whilst attending the European Clay Pigeon Shooting Championship. The accommodation is ideally placed just a ten minute drive from the OTA shooting range and the hotel's courtyard parking area is locked and secure, so ideal when transporting shotguns.
Overall, this is a super place with friendly personal service and characterful rooms at a very reasonable price

My husband, myself and our infant son stayed at this hotel for two nights for a family wedding. We could not have asked for a better place! The host although she did not speak English was so kind and accommodating. She and her staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Upon arriving to our room they had a crib made up with bedding for the baby. We were going to a wedding the following day and the staff even offered to iron my husband's clothing for him. The breakfast was incredible! Fresh homemade crossants and homemade jams and spreads. Fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice and an assortment of meats and cheeses. I cannot say enough good things. We were sorry to leave this beautiful place that took such great care of us. Thank you Quinta do Covanco

The woman of the house is so charming! She cooks as angel and prepares tipical portuguese food. They grow their own vegetable and also chickens. Delicious!!!
All rooms are different and decorated with a verys special taste and detail for litlle things.

Me and a group of family and friends spent a fabulous weekend at Quinta do Covanco. Under the new management of Vanda we were extremely well taken care of; the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean. Not recommended if you like impersonal hotels; otherwise, a great place to spend a weekend.

We had a wonderful 5+1-night stay at this farmhouse B&B. In fact, we left a dreadful hotel in Lisbon to return to the Quinta for a good night's sleep and peaceful and happy minds. Friendly service, great breakfast. Spacious rooms with crisp linen. Happy dogs. A lovely garden with fruit trees. Good advice on local restaurants nearby. We will definitely return.

We normally never stay in a B&B, we chose always an hotel. We however were pleasantly surprised by the large, comfortable and luxurious rooms.
When we arrived we could choose our own room, they had prepared 2 rooms for us. This was nice.
The guestlady did not speak very well english, but she understood French. Her daughter however spoke very well english.
The room had a bath and a large bed. We also had a television and airco. We missed a bit a refrigerator.
Breakfast was good and had homemade jam. The B&B has a large parking, only downside is that the gate has to be opened every time by the guestlady (who did not mind).
Price was a bit over average, but acceptable. Would recommand it.
