Detailed Reviews

I know the area pretty well (this is next to my hometown) and -thinking locally- I truly believe this is the best choice around.
It looks a simple "road" motel-restaurant from the outside, so you get surprised when you get inside how pretty well and warming decorated it is...yet simple.
They serve fixed price menus (first course, second course, desserts and drinks) for 21€ on weekends and half of it on working days. Menus are obviously different.
On weekends you can choose among 12-14 first courses and 12-14 second courses. You pay some extra (2€ to 4€) for some specific courses.
I haven't tried the week days menu, but weekend one is great on quality and quantity for the price you pay. Each course I tasted was very good... I do suggest local especialities like braised snails or braised meat. But you get also good fish (excellent sole fish with garlic souce).
Quantity deserves an especial mention: it is too much for a regular eater, so may be good to share (definitely kids have to). They are fully aware as they include the price for tupperwares -plastic take away boxes- in the menu: 0,5€ each.
Wine included in the menu is not that good though, so probably good to invest
on a local one from the winelist.
Illustration: full weekend menu with braised snails for 24€.

I believe that this is a very good restaurant. They have a daily menu for 21 euro that is worth the stop. They provide a lot (and I mean a lot) of good food, with more than 10 different dishes for the first course and ten more for the second. The waitresses are great, nice and caring. Do not miss it!!!!

Visited some friends in Bellpuig but I wanted to stay for a few days so I got a room in this hotel. It's a great little hotel just outside the town on the main road. It's quiet and away from any of the noise of the town and the road outside barely makes any noise and you can't hear it when you stay in your room or in the restaurant.
Very cheap for what you get and the food is the best - even the people who live or work in the town go there for something to eat. Original Catalan food cooked in house is superb. Only one member of staff speaks English but if you learn some basic phrases you'll easily get around the place. Parking outside is simple and safe.
The room is simple but furnished with everything you need. There are mosquito nets on the windows if you want them open in the summer and the bathroom is en-suite but nicer than the stock en-suites you get in hotels in England.
Would recommend to anyone who is staying nearby. Lleida is less an 30 mins drive away and Tarrega and Mollerussa are really close (and beautiful) if you needed anything (cheap petrol stations in Mollerrussa!)
