Friendly couple own and operate this accomodation in a place you will always remember for its friendliness and unique setting. Many different activities to do during the day. Fishing, walking, hunting, bird watching, diving and many more. The meals are excellent using the the local foods that are plentiful.

First, let me say that you could not find more hospitable hosts than Brent and Bernie. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous! We were given the "big" room and that it was. Beautiful in all of its decor (Bernie has such an eye!). Super comfortable and room...

The lodge provides a perfect combination of luxury and warm family style hospitality. Lovely position just above Flowerpot Bay. Great views of the bay and the wharf from the rooms. The food is beautifully cooked and lovely seafood in particular. Lots of New Zealand classics. Portions are if anything over generous. Brent is a great tour guide. Don't think there...

I had intended to take a day trip to Pitt Island but ended up staying for three nights and experiencing the wonderful hospitality provided by Brent and Bernie at Flowerpot Bay. My spacious room with balcony overlooked the Bay. The scrumptious meals prepared by Bernie included local blue cod, crayfish, slow cooked mutton and creamed paua with homemade bread. The...

Who would expect to find such a great spot in such a remote part of the world. Brent and Bernie (the latter a born and bred local) have established a high class lodge characterised by genuine hospitality,a purpose built lodge that nestles into the bay above the wharf, the latter being one of the lifelines to the island, and the...

Our hosts, Brent and Bernie were welcoming and full of knowledge of the history and flora and fauna of Pitt island. Our day with them today was the highlight of our week in the Chatham Islands. Flowerpot Bay Lodge were our hosts on a day trip to Pitt Island. We were a group of 4 adults and 5 children. Brent was an amazing host for the day and great with both kids and adults. The highlights were picking Paua off the rocks, seeing the cattle drive in action, the beaches and spectacular lookouts (especially the bit...
