Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly staff, close to amenities, good parking, easy! Stayed for one night for work, room clean and tidy, easy parking, and the friendliest staff with good recommendations for dinner. I left something behind in my room, and as not too far away, staff dropped off for me - very kind! Would stay again.

It was a home away from home. Nick the manager and all the staff were super welcoming and friendly. Stayed for 10 days/9nights. Room was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! If we ever return to NZ, will definitely stay there again.

Very disappointing, old and run down and too expensive for how shabby it is. Area around is unsafe - there was a man shot just outside by police while we were there. Not convenient for travellers and I had to buy my own toilet paper. I will not stay at any quest hotel again.

Poorly maintained hotel despite being "newly renovated" Staff are rude (or maybe just the "owner"). Miserable. Save your money. Overpriced for what it is. No parking. No decent amenities. Concerned about some of the other "guests"

I stayed for 2 nights for work. There were all necessary amenities for self catering with kitchen area, large fridge freezer and utensils. The bedroom area was spacious and the rooms were all clean. The shower had very little water pressure so was more of a trickle, so that was a let down in an otherwise comfortable stay. Wi fi is free though lasts for 24 hours after which you need to get a another voucher from reception to renew. 4 users share the wi fi so if the others are high user they may use up the allowance. The West Wave leisure complex is only a few minutes walk away, so is ideal for an early morning or evening swim or workout in the gym.

Everything you need for a trip away. The rooms are a good size, modern and clean. An added bonus of having the ability have food delivered and charged back from local resturants was great. Arriving late is the only downfall as reception closes early, you then are greeted with an answer service who by the time I got in the door 10minutes had passed.

The apartment smelt really bad of cooked meat. We felt sick from the smell. I was horrified that we got awoken at 1230am in the morning with two males walking in our room using their card, as the door was locked and when they used their card it clicked open, obvisly other cards can get into other peoples rooms. We could not sleep after this, wondering if this was going to happen again. I rang security. I also talked to reception regarding both issues, the receptionist made excuses for both things saying that i must not of shut my door properly, and that theres nothing she could do about the smell and said and would get the manager to ring me the next day, and this never happened. The smell went all through all our clothes. I struggled several times trying to get my card to work to let me in. This was the worse hotel experience we have ever had.The apartment was clean and tidy and Washing machine and dryer was good.

I booked in for a single night for a party nearby. IThe very friendly booking man was great - He said I was given the last room and he was reducing the price by $70... but it still cost $250 and didnt even include breakfast! He kindly included late checkout (which we didnt need in the end). I arrived at 6pm on a Saturday to discover the reception was unmanned; a gentleman who was drinking copiously a box of beer (!) outside let me in. My room card was left in a reception lockbox - it made me wonder what would happen if there were multiple late check-ins? I then discovered that parking was not available as it was an additional cost and they were fully booked (even though the car park at the time only had 1 car out front!). I had to find a park down the road in the rain! The room itself looked fine but the sink in the bathroom was significantly cracked, the walls had black marks all over them and the washing machine was rusty. The beds had a very thin duvet inner so we woke up cold in the middle of the night. After paying less than this for accomodation in the centre of London a few months ago, I was really peeved that I had agreed to pay so much for this place!

Room and facilities were great but it was a very cold night and could not get heat pump to work did not know until next morning that the trip switch had blown. Although there is no reception available after 5.00pm we did not read the in "Welcome letter " which says there is 24 hour services by phone. On returning home I checked my credit card statement and found another change had been made for $25. I rang the hotel and was advised that this was a mistake as they had charged for damage to a room by another guest to my card!!. They would not have known if I had not rang to enquire. Not very good administration.

I stayed overnight midweek on business. Facilities are fine for an overnight stay. The bathroom was very clean, but whiteware was a bit tired with cracks in the sink and a moderately powerful shower. The room was dark enough, and had a heat pump which provided sufficient heat but the remote didn’t work properly (new batteries maybe?) and was difficult to turn off. The bed was comfortable but pillows were large and quite hard....it would have been good to have a choice of pillow types as a pillow is crucial to a decent night’s sleep in my experience. My room was on second floor and quiet enough looking over the road, as I don’t think the windows were double glazed. My travel companion with a room on the ground floor near reception had much more noise coming through her room from people in and out, and a different aspect to another road. There was a washer and dryer provided in the room which could be useful for longer staying guests.
