Kagi Maldives Resort & Spa earns rave reviews for its immaculate cleanliness and exceptional service, with guests highlighting the resort's meticulous attention to both rooms and landscaping. Nestled in a private and stunning location, the tranquil atmosphere and well-designed spaces make it a romantic retreat for many. The resort's amenities, including a house reef and wellness options, are popular, although a few guests noted room for improvement in dining variety and amenity replenishments.

We stayed 3 nights at Kagi Maldives for part of our honeymoon but could have definitely stayed longer!
The transfer to the island from the airport via seaplane was seamless.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our island host Hasnaa, who showed us around the island and started to see what activities we were interested in. Throughout the stay, she was always checking in on us and organised our itinerary to the best of our interest.
The ocean villa was breathtaking and provided a fantastic snorkelling spot straight from our villa.
We stayed on the premium all inclusive plan. The food was fresh and delicious. The waiters were attentive and provided great service.
There were many activities/excursions that you were able to go on; we especially enjoyed the snorkelling trip with EuroDivers. We also had a fun photoshoot with the island photographer Ali. We had an amazing spa experience right next to the ocean (we were lucky to also see dolphins from the bath!)
Can’t wait to be back next time!

We had an amazing stay here at Kagi Spa Resort. The entire staff is very professional and attentive. It’s a smaller island and therefore very quaint and relaxing. There’s not much to do on the island but water sports, spa treatments and relaxation. They also offered a nice dinner cruise but we didn’t attend, so I can’t comment. I would recommend for the director to add more food variety to the mini bar, the current selections are lacking flavor but unless you are all for organic whole grain snacks then the snacks offered are right up your alley. I would recommend for guests to bring some of their favorite snacks to have on hand for the midnight munchies because the mini bar snacks are very expensive. Other than the mini bar, I have no negatives, I enjoyed the beauty that the surrounding resort had to offer and the restaurants offered delicious selections. We booked a couples spa treatment and enjoyed the euphoric feeling of the whole experience. The gym on the premises is in the spa quarters facing the ocean and makes working out feel like a luxurious event. Our room was amazing and I enjoyed the outside bathtub and shower the most, not to mention the view from the bed every minute of the day is breath taking. The staff brings a complimentary treat to the rooms every night, which is a sweet gesture. Our assigned attendee name shai was an amazing team member and she helped us with any request. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Dear risajadegayle, Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed review and to share it with other travelers here on TripAdvisor. I was very pleased to know Kagi was the perfect escape for your full relaxation and you enjoyed all the facilities on the island. The Baani Spa, which made you enjoy the euphoric feeling of the whole experience from the treatments to the fitness center and nourishing food corner, compliments all around the Pure Life concept, the essence of embracing a healthy, joyful and mindful life. Our cuisine is part of this same Wellness Journey concept and so is the in villa minibar, stocked with a selection of healthy snacks and drinks. I have shared your precious feedbacks with our culinary team which is constantly working on new ideas to meet every palate. I am very grateful for the recognition of our team members who constantly go the extra mile providing exceptional service for our guests. On behalf of Shaiha and the whole team, I would like to thank you for your kind comments and recommendation, we are looking forward to have once more the chance to extend you our best service! Warm regards, Areef Ahmed Deputy General Manager

This was one of my best vacations everrrrrrr!! We took the seaplane option instead speed boat. The views were amazing. The experience was awesome.
We had Shy as our personal 'Welcome to Kagi' escort. We were spoiled from the minute we stepped onto the island.
The cutest welcome greeting with staff playing drums❤
Great welcome drinks.

We celebrated my hubby's birthday. He kept telling me " thank you" over and over for bringing him here.
Our room was an OWB with pool. The waves were a bit rough at times yet I still would pick the oceanview overwater bungalow over the beach front rooms with the pool(just because of the ultimate privacy it offers.
Kagi has 24 hour room service.)
We did the breakfast and dinner package. There is an all inclusive option yet I feel it suits people who like to drink alcohol.
Early morning walks around the island after breakfast, lay out in front of the pool most of the day and constant use of the outdoor shower makes for a perfect vacation. No complaints except we had to leave. Speaking of which, Kagi does covid testing on site for $100pp. They do all your paperwork and have someone meet you at the airport to escort you to your check in counter. When I say stress free. I absolutely mean it. I dont usually plan on visiting the same place twice but here...I would definitely come back!

We stayed at Kagi for five nights and had the best time we'd ever had in the Maldives. The hotel is situated in the middle of a stunning blue lagoon with a variety of marine life, only 35 minutes by speedboat from the airport.

The staff is kind, caring, and friendly. The cuisine is the best part; dishes are prepared to perfection; everything was amazing, from crab, shrimp, and oysters to barbecued beef, lamb and gluten-free options.
We've eaten at some of the world's most extravagant restaurants, but the food here is truly exceptional.

We also enjoyed their SPA — which offers spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.

We highly recommend this hotel, which knows how to distinguish themselves with high quality treatments of their guests!

Kagi is very tiny resort, but you anyway spend most of time in your water villa with a pool. We stayed in villa 322 which was very private, with beautiful sunset and amazing house reef. Snorkeling is a must everyday activity. Apart of many colorful fishes we have seen turtles and mantas very close to villa.
Culinary experience was simply perfect. Each restaurant serves high quality food and if it is still not enough chefs Susika and Sourav are ready to cook for you anything you ask for. We had delicious Maldivian, Indian and Thai dinners as well as complimentary very romantic dinner on the beach.
You must choose PAI option to get everything the best Kagi offers and finish your evenings with Taittinger champagne.
If someone thinks it is overpriced so go for a Backoffice trip and see how everything works. They have over 120 stuff members working everyday to make comfortable stay for every guest. Can you imagine?
Stuff or lets call them Kagi family - they are the biggest gem of the resort. We never felt ourselves so welcome. They were ready to do everything and even more to make our stay unforgettable. Best regards to our host Maria and restaurant stuff Sandunika, Divya and Rohan. Also big thank you for Joe for great cocktails!
First time after coming home I miss Kagi family more than my water villa or sunset. THANK YOU FOR AMAZING STAY.

Everything about our stay was amazing. The moment we stepped out of the airport the resort representative guided us to our waiting area, and arranged for our luggage to be loaded on the boat for transfer o the island. Upon arrival to the island we were greeted by drummers and escorted to the check in area where we received a delicious drink and were then guided around the island to familiarize us with the amenities and then taken to our room where our bags were already waiting. The over water lagoon view villa was AMAZING, the room was like brand new, and offered everything you could hope for, including our own private pool overlooking the spectacular turquoise lagoon. Every dining experience was delicious and the signature cocktails were fantastic as well! We snorkeled every day on the house reef and the amount of wildlife was stunning, we saw sea turtles, rays, sharks, octopus and of course thousands of fish of every size and color! The gym offered every piece of equipment I would hope for, and the spa services were amazing as well. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful during our entire stay and we do not have one bad thing to say. This was 100% the most relaxing and wonderful trip my wife and I have EVER taken, and we hope to come back again sometime in the future. There are hundreds of island resorts to choose from, but I will not look at anywhere other than Kagi, everything here is immaculately maintained and your every want and need is taken care of. The trip was an excellent value, and we are encouraging everyone we know who asks about it to go for themselves and experience the most wonderful vacation you could imagine.

We have stayed at Kagi Maldives for during the Christmas period for 3 nights. Overall, the stay was exceptional, the Christmas dinner was amazing, we have made amazing memories during our stay there.

The staff is very attentive and we felt very welcomed from the moment our boat docked on the island to the moment we left the island. The island is small, but feels very private and yours to explore. You might feel that you're alone on the island and we liked that feeling.

The villa overwater villa was very beautiful, we enjoyed the outdoor shower and bathtub. The view from the room is well-worth the money. The private pool is quite big and you can easily spend hours using the pool and the sun loungers before and after snorkeling.

What we liked most during our stay was the in-house coral reef. We went snorkeling every day for a couple of hours and we saw thousands of tropical fish, from small to big, in all colours imaginable. We also had the pleasure to see reef sharks and sea turtles swimming next to us, making us feel very lucky to have that experience. The snorkelling just outside the villa towards the spa was something we haven't expected to be this amazing.

The breakfast was very good, overall the food we ate at the resort was enjoyable.

We had the Christmas dinner for $250pp, the buffet food was great, we enjoyed the barbecued lobster, lobster soup, barbecued fish, Waygu beef, truffle pasta and many other things. The dinner setup look very good, especially the desserts. We wished they would have included drinks during dinner, you could only have a mulled wine cocktail included, otherwise any drink was a supplement. For $250pp for the dinner we expected to have a few drinks to select from. The live music was great, the DJ after the dinner not so much, his song choices were questionable, but we still enjoyed dancing on the special night.

We were lucky to see the Sea of Stars phenomenon on the Christmas eve night, we were in awe of this natural phenomenon.

The only thing we didn't expect was the power of the noise of the waves hitting the pillars of the overwater villa, making the sleep a bit difficult.

The communication regarding the transfers to Male could have been a bit more clear, but we enjoyed the late check-out and late boat transfer leaving the island at 19:00 for our 23:40 flight.

Dear Travaller_London, Thank you so much for your detailed feedback regarding your holiday with us during Christmas period. Pleased to read that you enjoyed so many aspects of our island resort. We are indeed a smaller island which offers our guest that special "private island" feel. This in combination with the attentive and personalized service from our team creates a truly relaxing experience. Also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding inclusions of the Christmas Gala dinner and music selection from the afterparty DJ set. We will take this onboard to improve on our guests experience for our next festive period. We do hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our Island Resort in the not too distant future. My wife and I were offered a 2 night stay at Kagi upon checking into Meeru Island (Kagi's sister island) when we visited in December 2021. We were shown what Kagi had to offer and thought we'd be crazy no to take the opportunity to stay in such a high end resort. It did not disappoint! The island itself is very very small - you can walk around it in about 5 minutes and when we went it was very quiet. We actually had the whole pool to ourselves on a few occasions. The pool is amazing and we really loved the sun loungers that were in the water.

We stayed in an ocean villa and it was by far the highest standard accommodation I've ever had the pleasure of staying in (and probably ever will again unless I win the lottery...). It was really spacious and consisted of an entrance hall way with extremely well stocked minibar which was replenished daily, large bedroom, deck on the sea with it's own private plunge pool, huge indoor bathroom and an outdoor bathroom complete with bath and shower. It seems weird to begin with, but there's nothing more liberating than having a shower outside..!

We are keen snorkelers and so we were very excited to get into the water to see what we could see. The lagoon directly outside the villas is pretty sparse unfortunately, but a nice place to swim. We asked a member of staff where the best spot for snorkelling was and he pointed us to the spa area. It was the best snorkelling we've ever done - hundreds and hundreds of colourful fish and vibrant corals. It was like a dream under there and we spent a lot of time exploring that area.

The food at the resort is amazing. There's clearly a focus on quality and so whilst you won't find the biggest selection (although there's still loads to choose from), it's all amazing. We liked the chefs talking us through what they were preparing. They'd then make one fresh for us and deliver it to our table. We also made the most of their a la carte lunch menu which had extremely generous portion sizes as we found out after initially ordering far too much!

As previously mentioned, it was very quiet when we were there and so the piano bar was not open which was a shame. I can really see it being a really great atmosphere in there though with a few more people and some live music.

On our last day, we were offered a third night which is obviously snapped up. We had an incredible time at Kagi. The Maldives is such a beautiful place and obviously everywhere you go is amazing, but Kagi stepped it up a gear! If I could afford to go again, I would. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that my numbers come up!

I went to Kagi with my husband for our honeymoon. I cannot begin to describe how overwhelmingly amazing this trip was. It was beyond any of my wildest expectations and we have Kagi to thank for that.

First and foremost: this resort is not for the party animal type. This resort is for people who want to relax in luxury. You get the best of both worlds here: you can enjoy some of the events they put together by the poor bar and excursions, while also being able to spend a wonderful time in your villa which is stocked with all the amenities and kept tidy daily.

Weather was excellent when we went. Make sure you are constantly applying sunscreen!
There is a selection of water related activities and excursions you can partake in. You also have access to kayaks, paddleboards, etc. You can do as little or as much as you want.

The villas are fabulous and very private. We stayed in the lagoon villa and it can still be a bit noisy (water slapping into the pillars under the villa late at night) but that is not a big deal. Bring earplugs if you think it would affect you. Swimming in the lagoon is great and you also have access to beach areas.

Overall, you cannot go hungry here. Plenty of variety and the food was really fresh. I tend to have stomach issues especially eating raw fish and did not experience anything while I was Kagi. Even the snacks in the mini bar were healthy and tasty! These details were greatly appreciated. Service in the restaurants was phenomenal. Ke-Un especially has a really nice ambiance and perfect for a romantic dinner.

Highly recommend the spa as well- great value here and the spa team is very gentle! Also, Spa Corner restaurant was awesome and the menu was delicious.

Regarding dress codes: pretty relaxed during the day, you cannot go straight from the gym to breakfast (you will be asked to changed). For dinner I would say it is pretty flexible but most ladies were wearing dresses, skirt or pant/blouse combos and men were wearing pants/polos/buttoned shirts. Something to keep in mind- most of the major walkways on the resort are filled with sand so I would leave the high heels/stilettos at home and opt for wedges and easy sandals for the ladies : )

Our time here was excellent and we look forward to coming again one day!

We arrived on a rainy day, it was hectic day to be honest. The staff was very friendly upon welcoming us, Ali and Sheiha welcomed us and helped us to the over water villa, were we rested for the night. Next day Hamdullah served us our breakfast in the villa and was there with us till the end of the trip. Rohan and Divya were there for breakfast and dinner, were the best food only was served. And the most important person was Nizam, he was there to clean our villa twice per day, getting us those delicious sweets, water, drinks and anything we wished for. If you are visiting the Maldives, Kagi should be your destination, and make sure that you are ready to extend your stay there 😉😉
