Welcome to a hotel with old world charm inside the city wall! In the middle of the medieval world heritage town Visby's innercity. Hotel Gute is situated right in the heart of the beautiful medieval town of Visby on the wonderful island of Gotland. When you visit our world heritage town you will find Hotell Gute, a fantastic place to stay. The hotel is close to shopping, restaurants and museums. We have 30 individually furnished, modern rooms and a much appreciated breakfast buffet with homemade bread. The hotel is three star hotel, fresh and modern, with an old world charm. Additionally, you end up in the middle of medieval Visby’s inner city. The rooms have personal character and are equipped with shower/wc, cable TV, radio, telephone, refrigerator and hair dryer. We have a lobby and a fully licensed bar, nice lounge areas and an appreciated breakfast buffet with homemade bread. Wireless internet and guest computer is included without charge for hotel guests. All areas of the hotel can be reached via elevator. The hotel is decorated in two distinct styles. The entrance and room floors are built and decorated in classic international style. The reception, lobby, bar and dining room has a theme in the colors of black, white and oak, and the materials are stone and iron.

Estonian islands visited shortly across the Baltic Sea neighbor Gotland. Hotel Gute provided our group of 7 a perfect place to stay in the heart of Visby, mingle together in hotel's restaurant and enjoy spacious rooms. Great value for a reasonable cost.

Very good location, good parking to the car, very good breakfast, plenty to choose from, there was something for everyone. Unfortunately, cutlery etc. was not so well washed, may be incorrectly packed in the dishwashers, should be checked by the breakfast staff.

A fantastic small hotel in the middle of Visby. The location was completely exemplary for us as we were close to what we were there for. 2 blocks from the square with all the restaurants, 5-10 minutes walking distance to the port. Nice and cozy hotel for a good price. The breakfast was good and the environment nice to eat in. The best was the nice and helpful reception staff. The worst was that there were lady rats flying from under the bed. Otherwise well cleaned.

This is a small hotel with a very central location in the old part of Visby. The rooms were clean and in good condition, and a reasonable size for a European hotel (though not large).
We paid around 1000 SEK (about 100 euro) per night for three night, which was actually a very good deal for a hotel in Visby in July. We chose it mostly because it was the only hotel with availability one month in advance in high season.
Our impression was the quality was comparable to other hotels in central Visby, so I'd recommend booking whichever has rooms for the most reasonable price when you're planning to be there.

This hotel save me and a few others from sleeping rough of the streets of Visby. We had only just arrived on the island by boat from the mainland but hadn't made arrangements for a place to stay. The boat arrived at midnight and most hotel receptions were shut - apart from this place in the heart of the city. The rooms are small but comfy, with a shower and the rate is very reasonable. Visby is a very quiet town so there is no problem with unwanted noise in such a central location.

This not often the case but when it happens then prepare yourself. The rooms have no AC and at least ours was pretty (very) small. Wardrobes were very limited making the room even smaller since you need to put your clothes around the room. No working table, simply no space for it. No other off-loading surfaces either. This is a room to sleep in (if possible due to the heat) and the escape. The charge was 1400 SEK per night for a double and for me that is truly hefty for what you get.
Staff is friendly, breakfast is normal hotel breakfast, not more.
If I am not desperate and cannot find a better room I will not come back.

We went here for two nights, the room was cozy and perfectly situated right in the center of Visby, close to everything we wanted to do in Visby, after a night out it was very quiet and nice at the hotel. There was some mishap with the room when we arrived, but the staff immediately and very charmingly compensated us right away.

Hello Ray! We answered your first question below yesterday: Unfortunately there is no space at Hotell Gute where we can store hire cycles. It is possible to store cycles in the garden at our other hotel, "Hotell Breda Blick", which is around a 5 to 10 minutes walk from Hotel Gute. You can get more info when arriving to Hotell Gute.
