Our annual Passover holiday this year was at the Kadma Hotel, not our first time at a hotel, it's always fun to return to a place where you have had a positive experience. We are a couple, two children and a baby. We took the Kadama suite. At first we were very worried about the size of the room (in the past we were in a family suite room and a family front room). We got to the room and it turned out to be one of the only rooms in the hotel with a large balcony, which gives the room more air and space. Although there is only one shower unlike the rooms I mentioned but the balcony makes the difference. The pull-out sofa is a bit disappointing and it's not really comfortable to sleep on even for natives, but there is a solution for that too and you just have to state ahead of time that the sofa will be changed to a pull-out bed. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent and meticulous. In the dining room, the food has a high quality and satisfying variety. George who is in charge of the omelets does not give any guest a chance to wait for the package (there is almost no such thing in hotels) omelets come out at an illogical rate. A pleasure!! I wish this kind of service at all chain hotels. We didn't take dinner and ate at the Khan (dairy) restaurant in the hotel, the restaurant menu must be upgraded and changed (the same dishes for more than two years), the service is excellent under Gal's management. The hotel's pool is perfect and has no competitors in any Isrotel chain (maybe Orient), the pool staff under the management of Victor the Champion is one level above any other hotel. Caring, caring and always attentive to guests' requests. It is not enough to raise a hand and someone (Raymond or Randy) comes over, whether it is to bring towels, close or open the umbrella or change the sheets on the beds. Victor does not rest for a moment, constantly walking around among the people, collecting dirt, scooping up water so that people will not slip. Just a pleasure! 5 star level abroad. The bar staff are also great and welcoming, Kuti who is in charge of the food, Itay and Zohar who were always there to help us and all the craziness of the kids.
Some tips for improvement- * Replacing the pull-out couch, you can't sleep on the pull-out couch. * Updating and changing the Khan Restaurant menu as soon as possible. * S. The dining room manager must be nicer to the guests and employees of the dining room. Thanks of course to Tomer from the drinks who always asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Of course thanks to the other for the concern even before we arrived at the hotel and for the 24/7 response.
In conclusion, it was a perfect vacation as always and we have already booked our next vacation at the hotel this August.

We arrived to celebrate engagement at the hotel, from the moment of contact with the hotel even before arrival was excellent service thanks to the two dear guest relations manager at the hotel. Even when we arrived at Hotel Chuck there was great and we were received as beautiful as possible. We got the room even earlier than usual and we were sent some things to the hotel room. The room we received was large and very clean with exceptional accessories so nothing was missing! The hotel is incredible in its beauty and is located in an amazing location with spectacular desert views. The hotel has plenty of parking so there is no parking problem. Everywhere we go the service of the highest level hotel that employees are always happy to help and very nice, even the spa we visited and the place is very nice and fun. We had a perfect experience thanks to the two dear sons of Moses who always took care of us. Dinner at the hotel is perfect at a very high level, everything is arranged and served in a beautiful and fun way and not loaded with huge utensils, the food is served individually, there is a very nice selection and very clean and the meal was very delicious in an exceptionally delicious way!!! The breakfast was delicious, rich and especially delicious! The restaurant in the lobby is excellent and delicious with excellent service. In addition, we had an alarm of the back command in the hotel staff directly led everyone to a protected space without pressure and cared for what was needed, open a children's club for children chairs for those who needed a large air-conditioned room inside the protected space water and glasses for everyone and also calmed those who needed. All hotel facilities are kept at a high level and all places are clean and fun. In addition, there are such seating corners that in the evening there is such a fire and very beautiful and pleasant to sit there. We will definitely be back here, waiting to book the next vacation...!

We took a mini vacation in the middle of a front of cold weather which affected the whole country, and even the rain and night sub zero temperatures did not succeed in dampening this gorgeous place, meant to look like a Nabatean khan which to me resembled a lovely pueblo, verdant and lovingly kept. We were assigned a second floor spacious room, very quiet and squeaky clean, well appointed and nicely warm (given the weather) , with lots of toiletries (which have a singular smoky undertone) . When bathrobes were requested, they were brought (with slippers) in a matter of minutes. In the first day I managed to use the delightful heated pool and for two evenings the fires where lit in the sitting corners, adding to the lovely atmosphere of the place. Food plentiful, fresh, healthy and very tasty, including room service which was delivered timely. The whole staff - security, cleaners, waiters, concierge, cooks, everybody - really excels in making your stay the best possible. We will do our utmost to come back soon. Kudos to everybody!!

My wife and I, our daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren spent two nights at the Kedma Isrotel in Sde Boker during the last week of August 2024. We had 3 rooms and the largest one had a trace of tobacco odor. Being extremely allergic to tobacco, I requested a room change, only to be informed that the hotel was sold out and no other rooms were available. I then inquired as to why there were ashtrays on the porches and balconies of supposedly non-smoking rooms; I was told that even though people are not supposed to smoke, they do, and, rather than have them leave their butts on the floor, they have provided ashtrays. When asked to speak to a manger to discuss this perverse logic I was twice informed that he/she would get in contact with me, but that never happened. Anyway, I woke up the next morning having difficulty breathing and seeing for a while; we left the door to the balcony open, the A/C and bathroom fan running all day, and it improved somewhat the second night. Meanwhile, my daughter complained that there was smoking everywhere around her room, and the officially designated smoking area was right next to the children's pool! All in all, although the property is beautiful, the food very good and, for the most part, the staff very pleasant, I would certainly not return to the Kedma Hotel and strongly urge anyone sensitive to tobacco to avoid it. The solution to the problem of smoking in hotels is to include, on the form that one signs at check-in, a line that states that the guest agrees not to smoke in their room, or anywhere on the property which is not a designated smoking area, and agree to pay a cleaning fee (I have seen figures from $250 to $450 in the United States) should there be any smoking in their room.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel Thursday Friday Saturday. amazing experience !!!! The most helpful staff we have ever encountered!!! From the reception staff at the hotel to the employee at the pool! Any request, any question, are right at our fingertips.
The food is amazing! The breakfasts are varied and delicious! Lunch, a large selection of meats, hot and tasty food.
The hotel room - quite a large and nicely decorated room, for those who book a room with a balcony, the balcony is not open. This is another closed room.
The pool - clean pool, pleasant atmosphere in the pool area, pleasant background music.
The whole experience was simply wow! We will definitely come back again :)

After reading the reviews here, I was apprehensive when my husband surprised me with a two night stay at Kedma. Luckily we decided to give the hotel a chance, and had a wonderful time. Staff members went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the best service we've had at any hotel in Israel! Although the pool is a bit small (according to management, plans are in the works to add an another pool), the pool manager Nir is amazing. He worked non-stop picking up after guests, cleaning off chairs as soon as they became available and seating guests as they showed up. In actuality if people would only use the lounge chairs when they are at the pool, there would be no shortage of space for all the guests. However, many guests leave their belongings by the pool all day, even though they only spend a few hours there. Rooms are large and comfortable with great quality bed and pillows, and strong AC, so we slept well.
To make the most of our time, we brought our bikes, and biked early in the morning while still cool. The hotel has a storage room where they locked up our bicycles and took them out for us each morning. There was an excellent selection of fresh vegetables, fruit, quiches, eggs and everything you could imagine for breakfast. The lounge serves nice salads and good pizza. We also ate a good hamburger and fries at the pool bar and enjoyed the ice water they kept readily available.
Management is to be commended for successfully hiring staff who seem to enjoy their work and do their best to satisfy guests. We will be back!

Dear Linda D, It was such a pleasure to read your comments regarding your recent stay in the Isrotel Kedma Hotel. The enchanting Negev Desert is a magnetic tourist draw thanks to its breathtaking natural beauty, pollution-free arid climate, and the host of hidden tourist gems just waiting to be discovered. Isrotel Kedma, the newest addition to the Isrotel family, is one such find. If you're looking for an exquisite desert oasis, look no further than this awe-inspiring hotel. Located in Sde Boker, walking distance from the desert home of David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first prime minister, this Nabatean khan-style hotel offers a unique Negev-inspired hospitality experience in the perfect tranquil base for local excursions. The hotel's 163 warm and welcoming rooms and suites have been built around an expansive open-air courtyard that hosts a serene pool surrounded by luscious fruit trees and beautiful plants. This layout, that recalls days past, blends seamlessly with the surrounding scenery, and offers endless opportunities for rest and relaxation within the grounds' many quiet corners. Bask in the water and shaded areas of this glorious oasis and leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Our goal is the comfort and enjoyment of our guests and we sincerely appreciate receiving letters such as yours, which affirm by how much we have succeeded. We will be happy to welcome you again during your next stay. Best Regards Dorin

This reminded us of hotels we stayed in in Morocco. No glass and chrome monstrosity, it is a collection of low buildings built around a large courtyard with a gorgeous pool. We had a standard room which was generously proportioned, with a huge bed and a large bathroom. Cosmetics plentiful, but nothing special. The best thing was that we asked for, and got, a quiet room, although I suspect that most rooms are quiet. Breakfast was the usual Isrotel banquet. Staff all friendly and pleasant - but not one (out of three that we asked) could tell us where the local winery was, even though it is lierally about twenty meters from their entrance. The price, on a last-minute offer, was amazing.

To start with the positive: a fantastic looking desert inn, in an outstanding area of Israel. The staff is friendly and patient, with a cute unprofessional desert style. Avoid it if you are looking for peace and quite, cause you’ll hear every sound surrounding your room, as it walls, doors and ceilings were not planned soundproof. Breakfast is impressive but according to morning traffic towards Tel Aviv: bumper to bumper, while impatient drivers of all ages are taking over from every possible direction, while communicating in the local loud-voiced manner. If looking for a more reasonable value for a much too overpriced hotel, disregard this exuberant oasis.

This was our first stay at the new hotel and we were very excited to get away from the kids to enjoy a rare night away!
The hotel complex is very nicely done to give guests the rustic and even premium desert feel but after 5 mins you realize it’s actually a bog standard 3 star hotel so this is exactly where the confusion starts...
20 mins down the road is Isrotels sister hotel, Bereshit, which connects with it’s beautiful surroundings at a premium price. Back to Kedma, the complex is completely detached from its desert surroundings and more resembles the Abu Kabir prison in Yafo or any other industrial area for that matter. This means that once you get to Kedma, there is no Tayelet, beach or any other ‘pull’ factor, so you are unlikely to leave. As there are very limited outer activities guests are likely to stay for 1-2 nights max as there simply is NOTHING to do. That is fine but....
Spa access is not free so if you want to sit in the indoor heated pool/hamam/wet sauna (these are all one) and have your eyes sting with chlorine, cough up more cash. This Hamam is also defined as a “wet sauna”, which it definitely is not. The indoor sauna is tiny. It’s like someone looked at the hotel plans and said; “instead of these 3 guest rooms, let’s cram in the standard spa tick list of jacuzzi, dry & wet sauna”.
Pool food was horrendous. The NIS 48 salad was absolutely appalling only to be trumped as the worse value for money item by a NIS 58 schnitzel and chips which were obviously from a sub-standard frozen bag costing less than NIS 1. C’mon, you have 3 kitchen staff in the outdoor pool bar fiddling around, surely one of them knows to make fresh schnitzel!
Isrotel need to decide what this complex is. If it’s a premium spa destination like Carmel Forest then don’t allow kids, make it more of a spa hotel and seriously improve the food. If they want it to be a family get away club hotel, then drop the prices and remove the “Collection “ from the “Isrotel Collection”. Until they figure it out STAY AWAY!
There are plenty of amazing desert cabins in the area at the same price point but give you a full desert experience without screwing your over.
Isrotel - make up your mind
