Under new management since 2023, Ngapae Holiday Park is a family park uniquely positioned within the entrance way to New Zealand's famous 90 Mile Beach/Te Oneroa a Tohe, located at Waipapakauri Ramp. We provide self-contained, ensuite and basic cabins along with non-powered and powered camping sites. We have direct access to Te Aupouri Forest and are only minutes from the beach and Lake Ngatu. Our facilities include but are not limited to fully fenced swimming pool, playground, communal kitchen, self-service laundry, communal showers and toilets.
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We ended up here by accident the manager took our call after hours welcomed us in and organized a tow. Kerin was friendly helpful had a new baby very outgoing next minute shes gardening and emptying bins. We highly recommend this spot we always tell others this place is the place👌

We had a great camping trip at this holiday park for 4 days from New Years day. Great facilities, friendly staff and well priced. Would 10/10 come back again and would highly recommend!
Great location, you felt far enough from the cities to feel relaxed but close enough to not be secluded, only 15mins from supermarkets. Also we were only a 5 minute walk to 90 mile beach where we enjoyed daily sunsets 🌅 as well as being able to watch the sunset from the camp site. Loved it!
You get more modern facilities available on site along with a swimming pool than you would at other holiday parks. We’ll definitely be back!

Our small rural school spent a week at Ngapae Holiday Park and we loved it! The children enjoyed the swimming pool, table tennis table, the grounds and their cabins. The communal kitchen was ideal for our school's needs and much more. Definitely recommend other schools or anyone try this holiday park. Friendly staff who very helpful day or night. Thank you Keryn and whanau for a wonderful time.

Having stayed here several years ago and had a 5 out of 5 stay I took some out of District friends there last Sunday. Arriving at 6.00pm we were met by a friendly lady who gave us the keys to three units and promptly left the site. The units were advertised as Motel, self contained units. None of the three units had a towel supplied, or soap in the bathrooms There were just a bottom sheet on the beds, (blankets are $3 each extra). And the TVs did not work in any of the units. Kitchen facilities were Ok but NO pots or pans were supplied, so we could not cook. When we tried to contact someone we were unable to contact anyone. My unit only had nett curtains which gave us no privacy until the outside lights automatically switched off at 10.26pm. The final surprise was the used sanitary pads in our rubbish bin. But the room was clean and the pillows were comfortable. Hopefully this review will prompt them to resolve the above issues as the location is great and so handy to the beach.

Made a booking online and paid the required deposit. I've been trying to contact them for the last 2+ months to extend our stay but I have had no response to Emails, Phone (No one ever answers) and messenger but can see they have been active on their FB page during that time. Bit concerned about our initial booking. By their own policy I would loose money by canceling my booking. Even If I wanted to I can't contact them to do it. Disappointed.

The worst customer service by far. There communication is terrible. They literally canceled our booking on us one week prior to when we were meant to be staying their. They also promised to refund us our money by the 20th of December. It is now the 7th of January and still no refund. With numerous attempts trying to contact them via phone and email we had zero response from them. I found them on Facebook and messaged them again. Finally we got a response only to say “sorry I forgot to refund you” and now have to wait until the 10th of January to see IF we get our refund. Ngapae Holiday park staff, work on your bloody customer service!!

I loved my stay here! I came in from biking the trail desperate to charge my phone. The lady working here let me charge it without buying a tent site. I stayed for a while and decided to pay to stay the night. Everyone here helped me out figuring out tide times as well as cleaning my bikes chains and gears. Would definitely recommend! Great hospitality always makes a difference:)

Thank you for the great hospitality. We were running late and we arrived after check in closed. However, we were warmly welcomed and given advice of what to do as it was our first day of our campervan trip. Also provided some outdoor equipment for our young kids to play with. The facility was great, the shower facilities are new. Lots of space for the kids to run around and only 5 mins walk to 90 mile beach. Thank you again for making it the best start for our big family trip! We will definitely visit again!

Kia ora my name is Keryn and I would like to answer your question. I have just checked through our reviews now after being alerted via email that this question was posted....and I do see that one review is missing (as a new business we heavily count on these reviews and every single one is special). I am not sure what has happened but we do not delete reviews, I am not sure we even can from this end, we hope to set a transparent forum whether reviews are good or bad and that is also the beauty of Trip Advisor - we can not delete reviews..... but rest assured, I will be able to lodge this with Trip Advisor who can track what has happened. It was an absolutely lovely review for Sandra and her daughter Krystal-Rose, I took a screenshot of it so will repost it as a photo, we even sent it to the staff mentioned and am also going to post it on our social media page because our staff do go above and beyond - we are so very proud of the work that they do and were very proud to have read that review.
