A very nice spa hotel in a wonderful, quiet and green area right next to the spa park. If you want to relax away from everyday life, this is the place for you! Guests can also expect a wonderful wellness area with a wonderful infinity pool outside.
We had a beautiful, spacious, bright and cozy corner room with a view of the spa park. We were greeted with chocolates, a bottle of water and an apple. The room was spotless and very well maintained. A tiny disadvantage... the carpet. Due to the hygienic conditions, we are not fans of carpet in hotel rooms in general.
In all areas, be it at the reception at check-in/check-out, at the bar, at breakfast or in the König Ludwig Lounge, all employees were extremely friendly and accommodating.
In the evening we ate in the rustic and totally cozy König Ludwig Lounge and were very impressed. There was typical Bavarian cuisine: potato rosti and the "Herrgotts-Bescheißerle" were excellent. Really excellent! The breakfast buffet was very extensive, and the old cast iron oven for warm baked goods was particularly charming. There was also a selection of vegan spreads and cow's milk alternatives. It is wonderful to have breakfast in the winter garden with a view of the hotel park.
Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to explore the area as our stay was only one night.

We stayed for two nights in the family suite just after new year. Looking for some rest and relaxation for the family in-between major cities and skiing. Extensive wellness area. We dropped the average age down a little. It was a public holiday our full day there so all shops were closed :( our fault for not checking. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever experienced - so many great selections. Overall we really enjoyed our short stay to re-charge before exploring Germany further.

A relaxing evening at the Steigenberger Hotel is not only the result of exquisite cuisine, but also the result of outstanding service. On my last visit I was able to experience the warm support of Mr. Block and Mrs. Kosimova, who made the evening an unforgettable experience.
From the first moment I was warmly welcomed by Mr. Block, a friendly and attentive waiter. His smile radiated a warm atmosphere that immediately made us forget everyday worries. He led us to our table and gave us a brief introduction to the special dishes to choose from that evening. Mr. Block showed not only extensive knowledge of the food, but also a passion for his work that speaks for itself.
Ms. Kosimova complemented the team with her charming manner and professionalism. She always listened to our wishes and was always ready to make recommendations. Their detailed knowledge of the wine selection and their ability to recommend the perfect accompaniment drinks to the food was impressive. Her friendly nature and her always polite demeanour rounded off the whole package and made us feel in good hands at all times.
The food itself was a treat: from the starter to the dessert, every component was perfectly prepared and lovingly arranged. Mr Block and Mrs Kosimova were always on hand to ensure we had everything we needed without ever seeming intrusive. It was a remarkable balance between attention and discretion that made the evening so enjoyable.
At a time when gastronomy often complains of a lack of service, it is refreshing to see how Mr Block and Ms Kosimova are a positive exception with their dedication and professionalism. Their commitment to the guest and their desire to make every moment unforgettable are a sign of the high quality of service that distinguishes Steigenberger.
All I can say is that my evening at Steigenberger was a special experience thanks to the excellent work of Mr Block and Mrs Kosimova. Their dedication deserves recognition and demonstrates the importance of excellent service for a successful evening. I can only recommend everyone who wants to experience a first-class dinner to visit the Steigenberger and be pampered by these two service staff.

So while this was truly a wonderful place (albeit avoid the rooms facing the dining areas we ended up moving rooms for an up charge) and the staff was very accommodating - It was immensely disappointing that all kids under 14 are not allowed in the pool, the lawn area for sunbathing or indoor swimming facilities after 14:00. Sauna only over 16 which is probably fine.
But if you pay this kind of rate and you can’t even use the facilities half day, I would skip. Again, staff was lovely, great breakfast but just change the Resort to an adult facility. For solely an overnight stay with a great breakfast it is too pricey. That may be a better choice. I would go again but only as a couple. No question. Don’t miss the Kneipp Garten. Lovely little town. Downgraded to 3 stars for the kids aspect.

Until 2.00 pm children are warmly welcome to visit our water landscape together with an adult. From 2.00 p.m. the Sonnenhof SPA, including the outdoor pool area and sunbathing lawn, is a place of peace and relaxation for all guests aged 16 and over. The Sonnenhof is a wellness hotel where children are warmly welcome, but it is not a kids` hotel. Most guests travelling with children use the afternoon for diverse activities in or around the hotel. We were able to use the wellness area earlier than usual on the day of arrival. It is great, with the new sanarium and the salt pool, among other things. The staff are consistently friendly, competent and helpful. The food in the König Ludwig Lounge is excellent and is served hot. After the 5 nights we returned home refreshed and in a good mood.

We stayed 1 night at the Sonnenhof . Deluxe room 1222. Everything clean and well maintained. Some beauty repairs would certainly be appropriate at one point or another. Sometimes everything seems a little dusty. But the style of the house is what it is. Very nice quiet location. And super friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast buffet top. Great selection and everything very delicious. Dinner in the form of half board. We dined in the King Ludwig Lounge. Food was delicious. Mood was kind of weird though. No background music.... Wellness area appealing in the selection. Saunas, steam bath, several pools and hot tubs. Enough sun loungers. Highlight certainly the modern outdoor infinity pool in noble valley design and gas fireplace.. really unique. In the evening we sat at the bar and drank delicious cocktails. We really enjoyed the stay and can only recommend the place.

Was a fantastic stay here. The breakfast is perfect and tasty. The Spa is also great and full relax after a day working. The French restaurant petit plaisir is excellent and with great choices. Only one complaine I have…. I arrived at 13 and must wait until 15 to be ready the room and they don’t invite to this time for a welcome drink …. We must go in the city to find a bar.

This Steigenberger radiates the charm of former grand hotels without looking dated - except the rooms, which are more dated than grandeur. The outdoor pool is super nice and pleasantly tempered with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. We ate on the terrace in beautiful weather. Very pleasant atmosphere with nice service. Eat well. The breakfast buffet could fulfill all wishes, with extremely friendly service staff. A lot of fame, but lousy service. This is not a 5 star hotel! The hotel is not suitable for international guests. Almost no one speaks English, and the flyers and menus are written only in German. The hotel is a city known for spa treatments - the result is that there are many old and sick people who walk the halls and restaurants sniffling. I booked online, and I asked the hotel to leave a bottle of champagne, a cake or flowers in the room because my husband was having a birthday that day - I would pay for it. But my request was completely ignored. There was not a greeting card either, although they have asked us the date of birth of each one of us at check-in ... The next day, during breakfast, the lady at the next table got a cake and candles. I was very upset, and went to reception to ask if they received my request. The receptionist said that my request had been received, and offered us a drink at the bar as an excuse. We refuse the drink, of course, because we had no interest in drinking anything right after breakfast. And she offered us nothing more ... I thought it was very rude. The bathtub was dirty, and the wall was sprinkled with water and soap. Daily cleaning was just stretching the sheets on the bed. The room we stayed is a duplex suite, but has a large room on the first floor and very small bedroom and bathroom up the stairs. The balcony has a wall that prevents the view when seated. The suite has an ugly decor, and the sofa was stained. Both of the two TV remote controls were failing. The chandelier had one light bulb. The hotel has no porters for luggage.

Would have rated our stay 5 stars but for the uncomfortableness of the heat of the late afternoon and evening in our room which, like the entire complex is not air conditioned. Maybe a bit unfair as ownership cannot control the weather however it did detract from our otherwise splendid experience.
The facilities and grounds are beautifully maintained and a real pleasure to explore. We could not take advantage of the spa or pool on this trip however we did check them out and I have to say I've never found a higher commitment to cleanliness. Every surface sparkled and had that fresh smell of recent sanitization. Nowhere was this exemplified better than our room, especially the bathroom.
All staff encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning room and had dinner at both the beautiful outside gazebo restaurant and the old country pub style restaurant. All food was consistently fresh and of good quality and service was fast, efficient and happily delivered.
The hotel is a ten minute walk to the downtown center of Bad Worishofen which was a lovely place to spend a couple hours strolling, shopping and enjoying the local atmosphere.
