This small hotel is on the main road (Parkstrasse) between Fussen and Hohenschwangau. It's an easy walk along a tree lined path from the hotel to Hohenschwangau and the castles. The rooms are reasonably priced, they have a restaurant on premises and also a large area with playground equipment for kids. Free parking. So if you have a car you can leave it and avoid the paid parking lot at the entrance to Hohenschwangau or if you don't have a car it's easy to skip the bus and just walk there. My single room was very simple, but more than adequate for my needs. Location and breakfast trumps decor in my mind. It's easy to drive or take the bus to other sights in the area. And a little jewel, Schwansee Lake is across the road and a short walk through the forest. Also, you can see Neuschwanstein Castle from the restaurant and rooms on one side of the hotel. Upgrade your room to one with a view of the castle for just a little more money. Staff is very nice -- I think they like thier jobs.

Our whole family loved our stay here. The room was our favorite part: it had two twin beds in one room for the kids and one queen bed in another room. This made for great night sleeps for the whole family. The staff here were extremely kind, and breakfast was amazing. We also found the lunch packets very convenient. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Lovely! such a great value. On sight parking and restaurant. very clean. Great location near the castles. The room was on the smaller size but it was such a good price that we really didn't care. Nice views from the windows. Very safe location.

Situated a few minutes from Fussen and equally close to the village of Hohenschwangau, 'base camp' for visiting both Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Schoss. On a good day you could walk there. Character hotel full of Bavarian touches. Friendly hosts. Room 12 has views of both castles from the balcony. Worth the money to me. Good breakfast. Clean rooms, good shower. Awful lumpy pillows, seems to be all German hotels are the same! We travel with our own.

We cannot thank the proprietors of this hotel enough. We arrived soaking wet and cold after many hours of cycling in the rain. The owner quickly put on a hot lunch and gleuwine, and settled us into our warm rooms. Throughout our stay the staff helped us with bus tickets and dinner reservations, and answered our many questions. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom, with all modern amenities. The hotel is somewhat rural but the palace and old town Füssen are both only a 30 minute walk away on a pleasant and safe path.

Great hotel in an excellent location for the castles and hiking. Very friendly staff who cooked us eggs every morning and were great hosts. We arrived in a cold spell and the rooms were nice and warm. Walking distance to Füssen, castles and Schwangau. We really liked the Schwangau Castle Brewery, particularly their festbier.

Great value for money given the location. A friendly hotel just 20 minutes walk to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The garden was great for sitting outside when the weather's nice. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast spread was just right.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hostess was kind and friendly. The food was nice. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The view from the balcony was amazing. It is a great location near the castles. There is room outside for children to run around and play. I will be recommending it to all of my friends and I hope we can return one day.

Great family run hotel. I have never stayed in a hotel so clean in my life. The owners were attentive and very friendly. The food was also great. We had to leave very early on our check out day and they made sure we had breakfast before we left. All in all just a great place to stay!

Wonderful, friendly, family run hotel within view of Neuschwanstein and Hohen Schwangau Castles. Our suite on the first floor had a balcony with a view of both castles. Clean, comfortable, great wifi, and great food! Home cooked Bavarian meals that were some of the best we had while touring the Bavarian Alps. A five minute drive has you in the center of Schwangau. Highly recommend staying here!

Probably not, how would you get to the hotel? Unless you plan to bike. I'm not sure where you're coming from but if you're coming from Munich, you could take the train from Munich, but the local train station near the hotel is still a 20 minute walk and there's not sidewalks. So, unless you're into long walks on the side of the road...not the most practical place to stay.

Not that easy to get to without a car but you could pick up a car in Fussen which is only 15 minutes away on pushbike. Once there they have great pushbikes and bike paths to explore in the area ( you do need to hire them at a cost). You can walk to Hogenschwangau (where the castles are but its a good 10 to 15 walk. If the weather is good its beautiful.

I’m not sure if they can arrange that for you. However, when we purchased the tickets we used a voucher that the hotel gave us and got a discount. Fortunately the hotel is not far from the castles. Sorry for not being able to provide more information.
There are more places to choose from in the Schwangau area.
