Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked cows and a barn. We spent much time enjoying the quiet. he front side of the B&B overlooked a lake that was actually empty when we were visiting. The location is absolutely perfect got going to see Neuschwanstein. About a 6-8 minute drive and away from the crowds.
The owners were warm, available for questions.
DO bring cash as they (thankfully someone) do not accept credit cards;-)

This is in a small cluster of guest houses and a campground north of the main town of Schwangau, which is very near Neuschwanstein Castle. We stayed a couple of nights while visiting the area and castle. The property is a fairly small inn, run by a family, quite friendly and helpful people. It's a quiet area, other than people going by to/from the campground.

I'd recommend the place; friendly people, good breakfast, quiet environment. Just be aware of a couple of things. The Internet Wi-Fi basically didn't work while we were there--the couple of networks listed on the signs didn't really every work. The owner said they were scheduled to get a new system installed soon, so things could change with that. The bed springs made noise and the bed wasn't not overly cushy, but wouldn't keep me away.

BTW if you're heading to Neuschwanstein Castle, definitely reserve ahead. We did so and it took us only a few minutes to pick up our tickets, rather than standing in line for probably an hour or two.

Great location with the view to Neuschwainstein around the corner. We've got the best room in the whole pension with balcony facing the lake. Pleasant discovery was fully equipped small kitchen on our floor. Good breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend it to anyone.

This is an excellent hotel with a wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful atmosphere. My room was fantastic and the bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it apart and take it home with me.
The breakfast was wonderful, so much choice, lots of fresh fruit, bread etc. just spot on. Cannot fault.

The only shame was that I only had time to stay for 3 nights this time, but I hope to visit again in the future.

10/10 from me :)

The rooms were clean , the owner of the place are very welcoming. However, we were disappointed because there was no internet in the property even if it was advertised that it had it. The owner told us that they had this issue for many months ... I think they should be more transparent about for other travelers.
Also, there was no shampoo or cream in the bathrooms

This is a very pleasant family run hotel on the edge Forggensee in a quiet location (even though there is a large caravan site nearly next door). Our room was very pleasant with a balcony overlooking the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable.

There was excellent choice for breakfast and plenty of it.

Have plenty of Euros with you as the hotel payment is cash only.

Looking forward to returning next year.

The place is really great surrounded by the beautiful nature. What I liked the most was the cows in the next land and also the direct lake view. The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was up to the mark. We recommend this place with confidence.

We stayed for 3 nights in this nice and friendly hotel. The hotel is beautiful situated near the lake and near Schwangau. From Schwangau you can easily walk to Castle Neu Schwanstein. Good rooms, beds maybe a bit to the hard side (depends on what you prefer). Good breakfast. Free WIFI worked perfectly.

This is a lovely pension and ideal for visiting the Royal Castles. We had two rooms with a balcony overlooking a field with cows and a lake. Very helpful owner and every thing was clean and well organised. The only minus was that we didn't realise it was not open after 18.00 as the notice was in German, however there was a restaurant 50m away for dinner. We didn't book in advance but did arrive around around lunchtime.

I didn't have much choice choosing this hotel because our visit was a bit spontaneous and only that one in the area had one family (4persons) room which we could afford. The booking was done only a few weeks ahead.
Very big and clean room with balcony overlooking mountain. Lovely service. My wife and two daughters were happy so I was too because of that. They always got some extra things to their breakfast. Fresh food. Everything was well explained with printed map provided of local attractions. Quiet at night so we woke up in good moods ready to explore. We used car all the time because of the children. All the attractions are within a few minutes drive and car parks are reasonably priced. Buying cable car tickets all day car park cost only €1!!! And the view from the top of the mountain was breathtaking.
I don't thing anyone should be disappointed choosing this hotel.
I know that if I smile to someone I always get smile back and an extra attention, so there was no exception this time so we fully enjoy our staying there.
