We stayed in Luna Mia 5 for 3 nights. The downstairs bedroom had a double bed and full bath, which was perfect for my husband and I. The upstairs bedroom was quite large with more than enough room for our 3 daughters. The newly remodeled bathroom upstairs is gorgeous! The location is quiet and cute, with walking trails to Alpacas, a lake, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The area is as beautiful as any place I have been. The apartments are spotless and we wonderfully decorated. Sarah, the owner, was very friendly and offered lots of advice on what to do in the area. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We were 6 traveling, and the apartment Luna Mia 2 fit the 6 of my family comfortably. There were three queen sized beds (or some double beds as they call it sometimes), enough to fit us. Heidi treated us so nicely when we arrived, and explained everything we needed. Washing machine is available, not inside the room, but inside the “complex”.

We had a two night stay in a two bedroom apartment at Luna Mia. The apartment was very spacious and charming. We had a balcony and lovely views of the alps from the windows. The bedrooms were also very spacious and the beds were very comfortable, although the ceiling was a little low in the second bedroom. The bathroom was large with a big bath and separate large shower. The check in was a bit difficult but to be fair we hadn't advised them of our arrival time as we were unsure when we would arrive and the wifi did drop in and out quite a bit. Overall though I would definitely recommend the apartment.

This treasure of an apartment is ideal for a family getaway. We traveled with our 3 young girls from France where we are living for a while to enjoy all that Germany has to offer. LUNA MIA did not dissapoint. We were greeted by Heidi who helped us know where everything is. Then she recommended places for all of our questions. The town is beautiful and I only regret that we are not here longer. We will return next summer for sure.
Oh and the apprtment is HUGE. The perfect home for the 5 of us. It is filled with so much charm yet has every modern day convenience. Bring a bag of groceries and you can whip up anything in the stocked kitchen. The place is spotless as well. If you have bikes this is your place as well. Each day we sit and listen to the sounds of the bikes passing the field full of cows with cow bells. It is so refreshing and relaxing after touring castles or what ever you do during the day in this lovely area.

Really want to keep this apartment a secret... But I have to give the owners credit for keeping their apartments so clean and beautiful. Even after so many years of traveling in Europe, this apartment is the best that I've stayed in. Each of my family member only has good things to say about our stay here.
As you can see from my pictures, the apartment is huge. It is a real home, complete with living, cooking and dining area. Its a fully equipped kitchen that comes with a huge oven, huge refrigerator. Most importantly, it's clean. Very clean. My favourite part of the apartment is the common toilet, complete with bathtub and 2 wash basins. Will wish for the shower area in bathrub to have a glass, so that you can shower and not wet the whole floor.
Surroundings are beautiful. On a good day, you can see snow capped mountains once you walk out of the door. Parking is also free at this apartment.
The owner is very friendly, and she will brief you upon your arrival on using their apartments.
Very great value for money. Will definitely be back here again!

We were greeted by the very enthusiastic owner to took time to give us an oveview of the area and things to do. We were in town to see the castles and stayed two nights in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean, parking was provided next to the apartment, and it was very close to the castles. Recommended for families and groups in the area.

My father had reserved (in October, 2018) a large apartment that would hold 6 people; there were 5 traveling and we wanted extra space as we would be there for 4 nights in July 2019.
3 weeks before travel, he was contacted by the manager, who informed him that there was a problem, and we would split the group between a 2 bedroom (for four) and an efficiency apartment. While this was manageable, it was not what had been reserved and hoped for.
To his credit, Jurgen came to our apartment and spoke with my father (he suggested there was another mix up and my father might have to move to another apartment), and apologized for the mistake. To compensate for the error, he offered 4 Beers and a meal at a very nice restaurant down the road. While that was very nice, I don't think it made up for the difference in cost of the original reservation.
All of that said, Luna Mia properties appear to be very very nice. They are very close to Neuschwanstein, very clean, and we took full advantage of laundry in the midst of our 17 day trip. I would stay there again despite the unfortunate experience to get things started. Keep in mind, there are very few properties in the Schwangau/Fussen area that would compare to this location. Very quiet and enjoyable.
My only complaint would be that we are non-smokers, and people on the balconies and in the garden area smoked, which came into our upstairs location. A completely smoke-free facility would make the experience spectacular.

Very comfortable and clean apartment at Luna Mia. Unfortunately our stay was only for one night, the apt is very comfortable, clean and it would be perfect for a longer stay, to relax enjoying the area and/or by staying home with the family for some wine and reading.

We strongly recommend this property for a journey around Neuschwanstein Castle area. Very cosy, clean, and a lot of space. We were a family of 5, including a 1 year old child. Baby cot was kindly provided.

"We were in Apt 3. Mountain views everywhere. If you arrive it night note that the 'Luna Mia' sign is above eye level on the corner of the building."
There are more places to choose from in the Schwangau area.
