Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel was clean and quiet , very traditional decor .
Bathroom was good with great shower .
Only gripe was that the owners were a little stingy when asked for an extra coffee sachet for the room , I was told only one a day is allowed and breakfast was not a buffet , you have to choose items of a tick list which states that an extra charge may be made if you order too much , but didn’t explain what that means .

Very simple structure on the Forggensee lake in a beautiful, typical Bavarian village. Close to Ludwig's castles and therefore great location for visiting. Precisely due to the proximity to the castles the room price is quite high for very simple, small and essential rooms. Breakfast costs 12 euros and is not a buffet but you order by filling out a piece of paper that is on the table. This is a bit complicated, especially on the first day, understanding what to order and the quantities. It is also possible to have dinner before 7.30 pm.

Let's make no bones about it, the location on lake is just beautiful. The service friendly and the price of breakfast (not included) and drinks were fair for what you got. I toyed with giving a 4* here but it's the beds that let things down. The bed I had with my wife felt like I was going to fall off the edge it was so soft and it felt like it was on and angle. On top of that the pillows were just awful. Full of air and little else offering no support even doubled up. So overall 2 broken nights sleep in an otherwise lovely location.

If you stay, try the beds and pillows before bed time to make sure they are OK for you.

Pension perfect for visiting the region has long been sought: Füssen one of the three most beautiful medieval villages in Germany, the famous castles of Louis II, the lakes and mountains adjoining, and we found! A few minutes from all these places by car, this old traditional Bavarian Hostel renovated in pure tradition is run by an adorable family. Simplicity and friendliness. We reach the beach of the nearest lake in 3 minutes on foot by a small path, we dine there in the evening on terrace like biergarten, or in room Bavarian decoration ultra warm in case of bad weather (excellent Value Award, ultra generous portions), in which are also served breakfasts (be careful it is not a buffet, we have to fill in a paper but we ask everything we want for a fixed Award and it is brought within 3 minutes, the aim being not to waste their excellent products). The rooms are in the same style, absolutely quiet between lake and fields with some horses. A real change of scenery when you come from Paris for a very pleasant cultural and sporting stay.

Never again
Not recommended.
With a hotel voucher I booked a 6-day stay. Due to indications from negative reviews, I tried to upgrade months before by email in vain.
My fears were fulfilled when I arrived (see picture ).
Nothing of a proper reception was discernible. An oversized loose leaf collection behind the counter greeted the guest. In this jumble probably my emails have also landed.
The allocation of our quarters fulfilled the fears of a smoking room as a better broom cupboard with about 12 sqm.
In addition to confirming the nicotine smell and removing spiders in the room, the activity of the unfriendly host was finished.
After only 16 hours of forced stay, we left the so-called rural hotel in a curse.
Never again.

I've never seen anything like it. Totally overpriced hotel, with terrible service and super dirty rooms.
It is not said at check-in when check-out is, so you can pay nicely per room 50€ latecheckout. Cleaning is also never felt there, it muffles and it is dirty everywhere. Breakfast was fine, you have to tick on a note what you want. This at least prevents waste. The rest was a complete disaster! Beds uncomfortable, pillows virtually nonexistent. Our room was also extremely dark and you felt more like in a bunker. Will definitely never set foot in there again!

We can not recommend this hotel.
We had booked a standard room and only got a very small and sparsely furnished “catch”. Everything was very old, everywhere it was worn and dirty, lots of dust threads and damage to the furniture were present. The cozy sitting area consisted of a simple wooden chair, a cozy evening in the room was not possible. It was also not possible to switch to a common room in the hotel, as none was available. Also the restaurant was not an alternative, it was mostly closed.
Getting another room was possible according to the owner only for an additional fee.
A guest card was also not handed out on demand, but the tourist tax was charged.
Overall, the hotel also made an unkempt impression (inside and outside). The 3 star hotel classification advertised on the web is in no case given. According to the owner, this classification is also not available or requested.
The hotel can really only score points for its location near the royal castles.

Very bad experience with the hotelier who had not registered our Group Reservation because he never reconfirmed the Reservation: 2 confirmation emails from us and a 60% deposit transfer + 2 months before as requested never received supposedly on arrival! Finally, transfer traced after 48 hours but rooms billed more expensive than advertised for the second night because more availability in the same categories (no commercial gesture while 4 people found themselves sleeping in vans the first night because of his forgetting to validate the Reservation!).
Really a shame to stay on a very negative Impression because apart from the bad faith of the boss and the fact that he lied to us, the rooms and meals were good.

I had a Fantastic two-night stay here, I wished it had been longer. I had a large family room, certainly bigger than I needed but I immensely enjoyed anyway. Everything was great with the Internet sognal strong, a comfortable bed. The bath was great with plenty of hot water. The room also has a small refrigerator and an electric kettle which is rare in Europe. Plenty of walking, cycling and running tracks on the doorstep.
I hope to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Very satisfied, food, breakfast, room, everything was great, we would be happy to come back.
The location is also great, you can look directly at Neuschwanstein Castle from the balcony. The surrounding area is also beautiful, the thermal baths are about 3 km away and Tegelberg is also about 4-5 km away, so everything is quickly accessible
