We've been to HO as a family for many years in winter and summer. It is one of our favourite places and has a lovely friendly and comfortable feel - pure relaxation. This year the food was even better - such attention to detail on every dish (congrats to the two young chefs) and the sauna ceremonies with scented ice were a daily treat after the slopes. The whole HO team (from the owner to the cleaners) work so hard and it shows in the quality and service. Love it

It was the first time that we returned to Oberstdorf after 15 years and stayed in a hotel. I visited for a whole week in March 2023 to completely switch off and I can say that it worked 100%. I still think about the great time today and it certainly won't be the last time.
As soon as I entered, I was greeted in a friendly manner and I could experience this every day from the room staff to the service staff and even in the wellness area. The nice thing about it was that it wasn't the typical "service and service friendliness", but a genuine friendliness that made you feel welcome. There was also often a private conversation, whether at dinner or in the wellness area.
The rooms are very spacious, well equipped and of course very clean in line with the hotel's standards. The wellness area... a dream. Of course, this always depends on the guests, whether the relaxation area is quiet or you can relax in the sauna, but luckily I had many like-minded people next to me in this regard. The daily snack and a glass of sparkling wine round this off wonderfully.
Speaking of food...the breakfast buffet was delicious and more than enough to get you through the day. Because for the evening buffet, which you were informed about in the morning via the hotel's own "Morning Muuhh" newsletter, it was an advantage to be very hungry. So many good dishes and a different theme every day (as I said - I was there for seven days). The only disadvantage was having to think carefully about what you want to try before you get full too soon.
The location of the hotel is perfect for excursions. Whether on foot to Oberstdorf or to the Breitachklamm...with the bus ticket included in the price, the way back is easy (and the way there too, of course, if necessary 😉). The beautiful Kleinwalsertal can also be reached quickly for a small additional charge (bus journey within Austria).

The hotel is in a wonderful location with a great view of the mountains, colorful trees and unspoilt nature. Everywhere in the hotel you will be greeted with relaxed friendliness. Visited this beautifully situated hotel again after 15 years. The care and wellness was as we remembered it. Perfect! However, what disappointed us were the rooms. For this price you expect a more spacious room with at least two comfortable chairs. The bathroom was small. A shower curtain is also no longer acceptable. After showering, half the floor was wet. Furthermore, the rooms, we had a room with an en suite door, were extremely noisy. The staff was very friendly and helpful as usual

Together with my husband, we were able to enjoy the Hotel Oberstdorf for 4 days. The staff at the reception, in the kitchen, in the wellness area or wherever else is super friendly and attentive. The entire furnishings of the hotel contribute to a cozy atmosphere. Lots of fireplaces, oversized comfortable armchairs, lots of wood and little steel give you the feeling of being at home. The food is super varied and extremely delicious. I also particularly liked the information letters that were on the breakfast table every day, so you could relax and see what activities were going on at the hotel that day, what the weather would be like and what tasty treats there would be for the palate in the evening. There is also a lovingly designed room for children, in which there is a playhouse with two floors, small mattresses and small windows. There is also something to paint with - a nice idea. Very good hotel with a good design mix of rustic and modern. We have booked it three times. The buffets for breakfast and dinner are gigantic and excellent. Nothing is left to be desired. Unfortunately, there are not enough loungers in the sauna relaxation rooms because guests leave their sauna towels lying around and thus "occupy" the loungers. We drove - partly because of the homepage - with "little" expectations and Hell Oberstdorf. And had an incredibly nice stay at this place! The food was really good at any time of the day. This hotel manages to offer the perfect balance between enough choice but not overloading. Rarely have we received such a good quality when eating in buffet form. There are also great dishes to choose from in the vegetarian and vegan sector.
The room was very clean, very quiet and cozy. The sauna area is also very clean and cozy. The room of silence bears its name rightly. The outdoor sauna is a bit on the presentation plate to the restaurant - that might disturb some.
