The Traube Gasthaus is nicely furnished, has an elevator, nice breakfast and great central location. We had a good size room with a comfy bed, refrigerator, and nice balcony, but unfortunately our view from the balcony was of construction scaffolding directly in front of our balcony which blocked what would have been a nice view of the mountains. And the room was at times very noisy, mostly from kids running in the halls and nearby rooms. Our shower was virtually unusable as the water was ice cold one minute and then scalding hot the next, finally repaired on the third day of our stay. Parking was supposed to be available nearby, but it turned out that the parking was a 15 minute walk due to the construction. Free taxi service to the parking lot was provided, but that also took some time to arrange the taxi and drive to the parking lot. Food and service in the Gasthaus was good but quite a few dogs inside the restaurant made it a little smelly and uncomfortable for those of us with allergies. I'm giving the service a poor rating mainly due to the hotel's failure to offer apologies and a fair discount because of the construction inconveniences, shower problems, and room noise. All in all this place has the potential to be top notch, but our experience there was definitely not worth the money we paid.

The hotel is in the heart of Oberstdorf. You can park the car and stay for a week and not drive. The room was very nice. The owners were very helpful and speak english. You may shop, hike or just relax, all in the little village, with views that are fantastic. Take lunch or dinner in the outdoor garten. The surrounding hiking trails were great. It was so nice were going back this summer with friends.

We went to the Traube beer garden for a drink and dinner. The beer garden was quite cozy, even when it was raining because everything was covered. We ordered 2 main courses and 2 small beers (0.3 l). Unfortunately, the roast pork and the creamed savoy cabbage that went with it were almost cold, and my companion's cheese spaetzle was very bland in taste and unfortunately everything was missing. A small beer (0.3 l) for €3.70 is quite a statement. The waitress who took our order was quite friendly, but when we wanted to pay we unfortunately caught someone who had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. Not a word, the bill was presented, the money was stowed away, the tip was pocketed, no please, no thank you, no goodbye. That was definitely our first and last visit to the Traube beer garden.

This hotel is fantastic, I was lucky to have been put up for work. We were there for a week's skiing and this hotel is in an amazing spot. Very friendly and helpful staff & an absolute pleasure to stay in.
I think its prehaps a little pricey for people taking a family there, but it is in an idea location only 5min walk to the slopes.
All the bars and eateries are very close, so if you have maybe one to many beers its nice to know you havent got far to go.
Rooms are great, big beds, tv and everything you want. The plain see through class to the bathroom is however a little odd, and if you sharing a room with someone is not your partner then it could become a little intrusive.
But overall, Fantastic!

The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the train station and located right in the middle of things. The atmosphere is nice and the interior modern rustic. Very nice. The staff was friendly. We had a lovely very spacious flat with a big balcony. The only negative thing was the lack of air conditioning: it was very hot so keeping the cigarette smoke out of the flat by shutting the windows was not really an option.

Centrally located beer garden with a nice atmosphere and live music. Food is average. The service, however, is a big let down. The male waiter who was serving us was plain rude and three strangers who joined us at our table actually got up and left after being "welcomed" with rude remarks. We moved to another table indoors after the beer garden closed and the waitress serving us there was the exact opposite: very friendly and efficient. I would have given a four star rating if it wasn't for the bad service we received from our first waiter.
