Nestled in a prime location, the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort has won the hearts of many travelers with its clean, spacious rooms offering stunning views, despite occasional issues with smoke and billing. The resort's vibrant atmosphere, complete with live music and cultural experiences, strikes a chord with guests, although a few find it noisy. The resort's extensive amenities, including pools and the acclaimed Bebe Spa, cater to both adults and kids, but some guests feel the pricing could better reflect the value. While service is generally warm and commendable, busy times may lead to slower service.

My husband and I got married at the Outrigger in July of this year and when we booked our wedding we had never been to the resort before, so I was slightly nervous that when we arrived it might not be everything we hoped for. In the lead up to the wedding the team who looked after us via phone and email were INCREDIBLE. Alpatine from the weddings team was so patient and lovely, answering all my questions and making sure that everything was perfectly set-up for the big day. The hustle to get our marriage license to us before we left was SO appreciated, and she is honestly just the kindest soul. For the day-of we were introduced to Foziya who was our personal coordinator, and she made everything so easy. Part of the reason we chose Fiji was because we didn't want fuss or stress, and Foziya and the Outrigger team delivered in spades.

Not only was the wedding a huge success, but the resort itself is absolutely gorgeous. While we were in an ocean-view King room, friends of ours booked a beach front Bure and it was so worth it! We also particularly loved the adults-only pool as the main one can get noisy. Over the week we were there we tried every option of restaurant on site and the food was amazing every time, particularly the Ivi where the seafood was such a treat. Overall, I absolutely cannot fault it as a destination for either our wedding or just a great holiday resort.

We will 100% be visiting again.

Loved the staff here at Outrigger Resort Fiji... we were looked after so well and treated like Royalty shout out to room service which was fantastic thank you Luisa you were amazing and our Talai Butler Vinena nothing was too much trouble... Sundowner Bar and Grill are lucky to have Ani working for them, she went above and beyond to look after us at every stage through our many meals there. She made sure we were well looked after and treated us like family same can be said for Josephine at lunch and the occasional dinner ... where do I stop Vili, Ilaitia, Susana at the adults only bar all made us feel welcome and looked after us with grace and a smile on their faces. We will be back. A huge Vinaka to the Outrigger Resort and their beautiful friendly amazing staff.

This morning, I had a massage experience at Bebe Spa located at The Outrigger, Fiji. Upon booking my stay at The Outrigger, I was gifted at $200 voucher to spend at Bebe Spa. When booking the treatment, I was pleasantly surprised by the array of treatments that I had to select from. I chose the Traditional Fijian Bobo Massage. I was swiftly transported to Bebe Spa where I was warmly greeted by the staff who provided me with a mint refresher towel and hot lemon water. Soon after, I was taken to the locker rooms where I was able to safety keep my belongings and clothes. Dressed in a Bebe Spa robe and slides, I was then directed to the room in which I would have the massage experience completed by Alena. The room was very calming with a view looking out over the resort and onto the ocean. Alena provided a complimentary foot and lower leg scrub before commencing the massage. She was respectful, sanitary and took her time. My 60 minute massage experience was like no other. I did not want my time to come to an end. Her techniques were skilful and the products used were luxurious. Upon completion of the massage, I was offered to have a shower. Before leaving the Bebe Spa, Alena showed me the products that were used during the treatment and I was given the opportunity to purchase the products. I was also given a glass of water and fresh fruit before being transported back down to the resort. Thank you to the beautiful team at Bebe Spa. I hope to see you again soon!

I am here to offer an honest and detailed look at the positives and negatives we experienced during our 10-day stay at Outrigger Resort, Coral Coast, Fiji

To begin with, Outrigger is a great family resort with good amenities, an amazing kids club, friendly people, and delicious food. Thank you to Adi and Rajesh for welcoming us and making our stay special.

As with any holiday destination, there were some negative issues that affected our stay at Outrigger.

First of all, getting there. The resort is located approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away from Nadi airport, and that's if there is no traffic. In our case, it took us almost 2.5 hours to get there through the evening traffic.

Next, if you like sandy beaches, clear blue water, and snorkelling among coral reefs, this isn't the resort for you. The beach and foreshore are covered in small rocks and corals that are very sharp, abrasive, and hard to walk on unless you are wearing water shoes. During the day, the low tide prevents snorkelling or swimming near the beach. Overall, the resort is geared towards two swimming pools: one for families (with an amazing water slide) and one for adults only.

Unfortunately, the adult pool is located on the outer boundary of the resort, next to the main road. The road noise is quite intrusive, and the presence of the main sewer nearby with its unpleasant odor prevented us from staying at the adult pool for longer than 30 minutes at a time. The sun lounger chairs were dirty with stained and unwashed covers, leaving a lot to be desired.

Another subjective opinion was the feeling of being treated like a "cash cow." Every request and every move is accompanied by the mandatory "What is your room number?" In fact, the focus is always on the "room number" rather than the quality of service. Yes, we don't dispute the fact that services need to be paid for. But we were left feeling that all the resort cared about was ensuring that we had paid for everything, 110% of the time. It seems that staff are specifically instructed to focus on ensuring that visitors pay for every service rendered. In our opinion, the emphasis isn’t on customer service but on maximizing every income opportunity by the resort.

Would we come back to stay at Outrigger in the future - unfortunately, no! Would we recommend this resort to our friends - yes and no depending on what you are looking for. Ultimately, please read our honest feedback and make your own judgement.

This resort is really massive with loads of amenities most likely designed to keep you here for your entire stay in Fiji. Being a cashless resort a bond of $150Fj/night was held on our credit card upon checkin which we weren’t originally expecting but we’re happy to do so knowing we would probably spend some money on food anyway. We did speak to other guests who were only charged $100/night so I’m not sure how they work out the fee. However the resort food is very expensive and really quite limited in terms of variety and nutrition. Buffet breakfast was $59/person(incl children) and evening meals were $79/person. So we decided to venture away from the resort to eat which we were glad we did as the food was a lot cheaper ranging between $15-$20Fj/person for banquet style eating with lots of choices and plenty of nutritious options. Local taxi drivers will charge you $10Fj/carload to and from Sigatoka but do confirm this price before embarking or some will try charge you more. The bus ride to Sigatoka departs outside the resort in front of the tree every half hour and is only $2Fj. The ocean view room for our family of 4(children aged 8 & 12) was quite tight with a king, pull out sofa and roll away bed. Paying quite alot for the children to sleep on a pull out couch and roll away bed with no room to do much else. Unfortunately the roll away bed never arrived in our room until about midnight which was 4 hours after we checked in. The bathroom consists of a shower over a bath, seperate toilet and hand basin. It was quite tired and rundown looking with a fairly stained bath and rubber mat. On a plus side between 5-6pm each night the Talai butler service delivers complimentary canapés and drinks which is quite a treat. The ground staff are all very friendly and helpful and you would hope they are treated and paid well as they work long hours in multiple roles around the resort. I do recommend venturing offsite to eat and explore real Fiji during your stay. Resort life is not real life but it is a nice way to treat yourself on occasion.

Outrigger Fiji is a fabulous resort. The staff are the best yet, so welcoming and friendly, we felt like we were staying with family. Eleni, Salornal and Asia at the Ivi Restaurant provided excellent service, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast crew sang to us, and moved around us quietly attending to all our needs, I wish I could put all their names as we did not have one bad experience. Great variety of restaurants, although a little expensive, it was what we expected. Canapes in our Bure at the end of the day, a high tea and free laundry service made us feel like royalty for the week. When we returned from dinner there were liqueur nightcaps and a little treat waiting for us. Cannot fault the service provided, always a smile on the faces of the staff who cared for us during our stay. There were some other dining options nearby but the hotel seem to not want you to support the locals, we found this a little disappointing, but there are cheaper options nearby to the resort if you go exploring. The rooms are spotless and really comfortable, big TV's with streaming options, aircon that works, big bathrooms and comfortable beds. We paid for the Bure but if going back would get an ocean view room, the view from these rooms are amazing and cheaper that the Bures. An adults only pool is a nice retreat, but closes earlier than the family one. There is plenty to do, things happening all the time, a great vibe at the hotel. Thank you to the team, we cannot say enough how amazing you all are. Thanks from Carol, Dave, Lucy and Campbell.

We had a wonderful experience at the Outrigger. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the porter who shouted from distance BULA!!. Check in was smooth and we were allocated an ocean view room. We arrived late so we ordered room service for a quick snack and a cold Fiji Beer. From there onward we had a relaxed and very enjoyable time. We took the all inclusive package for food and drink so we didn't have to worry about what we were spending. On that note the drink package starts at 11am and finishes at 9pm. I wouldn't mind if it was the opposite, 9am (to have a proper coffee) till 11pm to enjoy an after dinner drink.
We mainly dined at the Sundowner and the waiting staff there were friendly, professional and made us feel like family. Shout out to Di, Tim, Semi and Jonathan who looked after us really well.
Shelina at reception was really helpful.
The mei mei service was unbelievable and everyone at the kids club look after the kids like their own! We were lucky to have Emily looking after our little 2 years old daughter for 6 days and they formed a special bond.
We will highly recommend this resort especially if you travel with kids. That said we used the adult pool in the afternoon, whilst our kid was with Emily, and you can't tell there are kids few metres away at the main pool.

We stayed at this resort after our first visit last year. Every time we go is fantastic.

We stayed in a beachfront Bure which is definitely the highlight of our holiday, well worth the extra cost.
We had breakfast included and then dined for dinner at buffet restaurant, Sundowner and Ivi.
Last time we purchased full bard but it was way too much for us, we’re not big eaters. This way was much better and just had a small snack for lunch after a big breakfast, it worked really well. Have to say if you travel with children the kids eat free is well worth it, you never have to worry about hungry children and our kids had pretty much all meals with kids club which they loved and gave us a chance to have adult meals. Very relaxing.

All staff is amazing, just amazing. And the premium accommodation comes with a butler - thanks Mark for being such a lovely one - and a high tea that we enjoyed up at the top lounge, plus one set of laundry that was so handy.

Baby Josh at main pool is so good and entertaining, we did our first ever aqua aerobics that I would normally cringe at, but he makes it so much fun I just had to do it!

Dining at Ivi was amazing, and Eleni our waitress was just so lovely, we can’t thank her enough for making our night very special.

Heaps of thinks to do, the gym is one of the best ones I have seen at this kind of resorts, and the entertainment is great.

Kids club is always a highlight and our kids couldn’t wait to go and play there. They took the older group fishing on the beach, and learned some Fijian language, they are just so amazing.

Honestly, loved everything, can’t fault this place.

The Outrigger was amazing.
The rooms were clean and modern, and Vili at concierge (who genuinely enjoys his job, shouting Bula at every passing guest) went out of his way to make sure any request we had was seen to straight away.
The lagoon pool had a great range of depths and areas for both little and big kids, with volleyball, water polo and some giant climb aboard floaty thing the kids seemed to love. The activities offered included snorkeling, tie dye printing, jewellery making, cooking classes, a golf driving range, wildlife park, hair braiding and a lot of traditional Fijian culture displays such as fire walking.
The Bebe spa has an amazing location and view, high up on the hill looking out to sea, but the massage itself was a little overpriced and underwhelming.
It is so well set up for families with the meal package making meals a breeze. We loved the Kids Club for the older kids, my daughter (3) had such a blast and I was able to relax worry-free and find a great mix of family time, and time alone with my husband. I can definitely recommend the MeiMei service, particularly Vera, Titti and Mia, who cared for my teething son (1) with more love and patience than even I can muster while new toothy pegs are popping through. Every time I checked on him, he was snuggled and sleeping, painting or playing in the sandpit and always happily distracted.
We picked a couple of activities to do in Fiji (Ecotrax and River tubing), but aside from that, the Outrigger had everything we needed and we had an amazing time and barely left the resort.
The Outrigger offers a range of restaurants catering for a variety of menus, and has feature nights in the buffet (such as ocean catch, Mexican, international street food etc) and suitably caters for large groups in request (there were 23 of us). The resorts biggest asset is its staff to guest ratio, at every turn there were helping hands for anything you needed and it was always delivered with a friendly smile.
I highly recommend the Outrigger, and we will definitely be returning!

You can snorkel straight from the resort and there are some nice fish around the area but the coral reefs and marina life around is limited

I think that depends on what you are after. The resort has a number of activities that are free (like snorkel rental) and others that are paid (like cultural experience trips)

There are 3 levels of packages. They start at about 80/person Australian for lunch and dinner, then it is about 110 with Breakfast included and then there is a full board with drinks which is way more. Obviously there are restrictions on what you can get from each place so factor that in
