QT Bondi is a place where things collide. Chance encounters. Sliding doors. The shoreline sculpts the wave. We built a hotel where the pacific meets the continent, right in the heart of Australia’s coolest spot. At QT Bondi, chic meets mellow, art meets fashion, gin meets tonic and travellers, entrepreneurs and locals meet to make the world their canvas. We’ll share the restaurants and bars to explore, and we know just where to go to run up against something unexpected. Coming?

The staff was very friendly and gave helpful info upon check-in. The room was huge and decorate in a 60’s style. The bathroom was very spacious and updated. The room had a washer/dryer combo which was very useful. The best amenity was proximity to the beach.

The QT Bondi is an lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious and modern. Ours has a great little kitchen with a microwave, induction hob sink and toaster. There's also a fridge by the bed.

This allowed us to make simple breakfasts on days when we wanted to chill and take it easy. We also managed to reheat a Christmas dinner for four we'd bought ready cooked from a company in nearby Sydney.

The room had a large comfortable bed and huge TV with internet enabled channels and movies. There was also a portable Bluetooth speaker. The balcony was also really big.

The hotel's location is perfect. It's directly opposite the beach and in the same building there is a gym, Swimming (for laps only) pool, decent sized supermarket, Botteshop (a store licenced to sell alcohol) as well as a number of cafes, bars and restaurants all of which you can access via the lifts in the hotel.

By far the best thing about the QT Bondi is the amazing team of employees. They are warm, friendly and welcoming, always happy to chat and nothing was too much trouble for them. They really made our being so far from home feel like no problem at all.

A couple of things worth noting: The hotels WiFi wasn't great in our room and often struggled. Luckily we had a WiFi hotspot any bought an Australian simcard at the airport. The stall who sells these will also rent you a WiFi hotspot. This is a good idea anyway as you may not always have WiFi if you're out and about.

Parking in Bondi is also very expensive. The Hotel's vallet parking was the best value available but this is $49 per night.

Given that you need to pay to park in most places in NSW it is worth considering whether you really need to take a car. The area is well served by taxis, Uber, lime e-bikes and public transport.

Staff was friendly when available, often the phone remains unanswered though.
We stayed in 308, Gold suite, which was praised as the 'nicest room" by staff on check in. Unfortunately there is a giant aircon vent right next to the bedroom on the terrace which is very loud and drafty and will run on and off round the clock. This makes very limited use of the terrace and we couldn't leave the doors open over night on when we were in the room during the day.
The suite was very spacious, albeit very low ceilings especially in the bathroom, looks a bit worn, kitchenette is a nice feature but hardly any glasses/crockery and not a single pot. Had to cook the pasta in the frying pan...
Parking fees are expensive at $49/d.
$40/d voucher at downstairs cafe was a nice little extra.
Would we stay again? Yes because of the amazing location.

Hi 805hellad, Thank you for your feedback, it is so important to improve our services. We had since had the aircon generator repaired to ensure there is no longer any disturbance for our guests. Unfortunately as the car park is now ours - the parking price is a flat rate of $49 per night, which is a discounted nightly cost for hotel guests. Hope to see you again in the future. Warm Regards, Emily

I booked the QT Deluxe with a Balcony, probably spent more than I usually would per night on accommodation but it’s Bondi, pretty much beachfront and the location was what I was looking for in the end. Having no knowledge of the Bondi area or this Hotel I found the check in a little difficult. I had driven from Armidale and arrived at the QT. There is a driveway on the ground floor which does a loop under the building, I had to do two loops as I couldn’t figure out that you can just park in the middle of the drive and block the whole driveway. I was mostly thinking about being courteous to others but perhaps I shouldn’t have. The first loop I did this and I got out, walked around, and could not find the reception at all. It’s tucked away in the corner. Perhaps a bit more signage would be good. Anyway I got there eventually and parked in the underground parking. It cost me $47-49 for my one night stay.

The location to a BWS and Woolworths is perfect, literally down the lift and a 10 metre walk, restaurants, cafes etc, to be expected for the location but it was perfect. I had booked at Eden for dinner, a plant based restaurant, and it turned out they also offer room service for the QT.

The room was nice enough and looked clean. The toilet roll holder was almost falling off the wall, the bathroom taps were wobbly, there was a large black hair on one of the chairs on the balcony.

There is a Bose Bluetooth speaker in the room. It was flat. With no charger. Just go ask reception for another one. But I couldn’t be bothered after a 6hour drive and shouldn’t have to. I happened to have the cable I needed to charge it anyway.

Some minor maintenance issues that I would expect a cleaner would pass on to be fixed. I was going to tell reception as I checked out however I found the girl quite rude so I didn’t want to upset her or deal with her response. Potentially the rudest I have come across in a long time actually now I think about it...

There was either one, or two cockroaches in the room. The first one disappeared into or behind he dishwasher and came back out again or there was a second. I caught the second and flushed it down the toilet.

Whilst I would expect or deal with all of these things in a 3 star motel I wouldn’t be expected them from any accommodation in the price range of what the QT is.

I have multiple trips to Sydney in the upcoming months, will I stay here again... I’m really not sure I would unless I had to

Hi James, Firstly thank you for your review, it is so important to improve our services. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Please note our entrance is off Beach Road, we are always happy to direct guests to the car park to avoid any confusion as I know it can be a little tricky to find! From there, our guests can catch the lift up to our lobby. We do not have a restaurant on site but offer in-room dining with Eden Restaurant for dinner and charge directly to their hotel account, QT guests are also welcome to dine in the restaurant and pay direct. Thank you for your feedback regarding the toilet holder and taps, we have since had both repaired in this room. I am pleased to announce we are also having a refurbishment this year and all furniture will be updated. James, I am unsure to trace any information on your check-out experience and would like some more information on this? Please feel free to email me at Emily_russo@evt.com. We strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrences. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Warm Regards, Emily

We revisited the QT Bondi for a girl's staycation, as we had previously stayed as a bridesmaid group and had an amazing stay.

Unfortunately this time around was not the best.

At check in we enquired about an adjoining room and were advised that we needed to book directly through the hotel. When we advised that we had, the attendant said that we needed to call and make the booking. When we advised that we had been calling repeatedly and couldn't get through there wasn't a response, but we did receive the adjoining room.

We requested valet parking but were advised that due to covid valet was not in operation, but were still charged full price for parking.

I was given room 222, which had a comfy bed and lovely interiors but a very annoying toilet cover that would not stay up and had to either be physically held up with your back or hand.

We brought back antipasto to the room for a light dinner and I requested to have some additional plates for collection at the reception desk. When I arrived the desk was unattended, and after a phone call was advised to go into the staff area beyond the reception desk to collect the plates.

We then called to advise that a bottle opener was not located in either of our rooms, and were advised to go to the bottle shop downstairs to purchase one (which we did).

Check out was better with much more personable attendants.

We all agreed that airbnb would be a better option next time around, which is disappointing as we'd really enjoyed the QT Bondi last time.

I booked a 2 night stay (fri & sat nights) for some well needed rest and relaxation and the thought of a king size bed all to myself was a big draw card. I can’t fault the room, the studio was spacious and clean. The big bath was glorious (even though it takes ages to fill!) but my one biggest grumble was that the king bed was two beds zipped together. There wasn’t a mattress topper to conceal the big join down the middle of the bed and the two conjoined beds were of completely different levels of firmness! One side was super soft and the other much firmer. It was very uncomfortable. No middle of the bed sprawling was possible, instead I had to keep myself to just one side. Very disappointing. The studio was internally facing and there was a low level hum and restaurant noise from below each night but it did stop about 10pm each evening. Other hotel guest doors were noisy when left to slam which was also unfortunate when trying to sleep. If you like a cup of tea, take your own tea bags as my room didn’t have the basic black tea but also the kettle was so small you could only make one cup at a time, so if there’s two if you, don’t expect to drink together!! I’m not sure I’d stay there again because there were just too many “little things” that took the shine away. ($49/day parking was another issue too!!)

We all know, or at least must acknowledge, how hard hospitality is working right now to recover, amd in the midst of that you find diamonds like the team here at QT.

Melanie, you’re born for this line of work. Gabby & George, thanks for making it great. Sylvia, we so appreciated your help.

The room was modern, roomy, full of light and colour. The Kitchenette was super useful, the washer/dryer was great to have with two kids insisting one swimming daily.

The meal deal with Parida worked a treat and we enjoyed every minute of being a tourist in our home town.

To the tireless QT General Manager, well done. Good leadership shows in great people and you’ve got that in your team! We don’t know you, we didn’t met you, but we saw you outstanding work.

We will be back!

Have nothing but nice things to say. Maybe next time, you can leave more than just two pods of the caffeinated coffee. Overall, the experience is lovely. The two individuals who check me and my partner in were attentive and nice to deal with. When there was an issue with the room rate, it was quickly resolved and we were on our way. Btw, the Lado perfume in the lobby is delightful.

I cannot rate QT Bondi highly enough.
It was fabulous .
The room has all the Mod cons you need (microwave, laundry, dishwasher, Coffee machine, free movies and just more) with the relaxed yet unique QT vibe .
The staff very friendly and super social and gave us great coffee recommendations (Drake cafe all the way!)
The position is perfect and an easy stroll to the beach and connected to great restaurants for a little happy hour drink and the supermarket right downstairs .
You just cannot be disappointed with QT Bondi.

I jetted to the QT Bondi for a mini vacay by the beach. The staff were charming, so informative, helpful and flexible with our needs. It was a really hot day and they had the room nice and cool for us upon arrival, and it is all the little touches that really made our stay so spesh.
Kevin Murphy bathroom products, great view and location so you can walk to everywhere you could imagine, the styling was modern and fresh and so clean, and the mini bar delivered. I particularly liked the ready-made cocktails so I could treat myself before I headed out for dinner. Our room even had a washing machine, would be perfect for a business stay too. Plus I found out they have dog friendly rooms so I can't wait to come back with my pooch.
Thanks for looking after me QT Bondi, I left with my cup full!
