A terrific hotel which is very conveniently located next to the bubble car.
However what sets this bijou alpine establishment apart from the rest is the very warm welcome extended by owners Manoel and Florence.
The kitchen is also a delight offering an extremely good value 5 course menu at under 30€. Each plate was a perfect balance of ingredients.
Coupled with Manoel’s charmingly erudite knowledge of his locally sourced wines it is hard to see where you could go wrong by choosing this hidden gem.

At the foot of the slopes. A family and friendly hotel.
Nice welcome.
Very nice, well-equipped rooms. Very good bedding.
The privatization of the SPA for €9 per person for 50 minutes is very appreciable.
The dishes with local products are excellent.
Very good breakfast for a good day of skiing.
I give it 4/5 but I could have given it 5/5 if there were not these points to work on:
Absence of a lounge area to have an aperitif
The atmosphere of the restaurant rooms lacks a little warmth
No luggage storage for departure
I hope that the new owners will be able to maintain the same level and the same quality/price ratio.

Just stayed to Les Melezes for the first time in recent years - but not for the last!
We previously stayed at Les Melezes at couple of times, the last time five years back. Over the years it was always a nice hotel for skiing vacation, but it was getting rather worn. Now, with new owners and new decor, it simply has a new life. Nice, comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful hosts, and wonderful cuisine. Half board includes five courses every evening, and the wine list is simply impressive, with every wine selected on the basis of a visit at the wineyard. Very difficult to see how it could be done better.
Highly recommended!

Just opposite the main lift. Recent refurbishment has classy upgraded rooms, bar area will follow. New owners are a chef and wife who ran an excellent hotel in Aussois. Restaurant attracts lots of non residents and food is very good (will be even better when we return in 2019). Lovely sun terrace and very near ski school. Hotel was already full when we arrived even though it had only recently reopened after the refurb. Great location for winter and summer activities.

Just back from second trip to Les Melezes. Hotel and restaurant now operating as we would expect. Lovely big room, bright and airy. Bar area small but well used by local ski instructors and guests. Cosy fires in restaurant and breakfast areas. The food was exceptional, possibly even better than the owners previous hotel in Aussois. Plans afoot to extend restaurant later this year ( it was full every night we were there - 5 courses for €29.50!!). Lovely, welcoming hosts in this family owned and managed hotel.

This hotel was entirely renovated and offers now a complete modern infrastructure that will pleased all visitors by the quality of the equipment. We particularly appreciated:
- Large family bedroom, the creativity of the menus using products of the region and a great wine selection, also with incredible bottles ;)
- The general ambiance in the hotel/restaurant/terrace.
- The village proposed a lot of activities besides standard mountain summer ideas!
It is my 3rd trip in this hotel, and it was always a positive experience surrounded by a professional team.

We are a group of 5 mature male skiers, who have been staying with Manuel and Florence for years in Aussois. We were very sad when they left Aussois to take over the Hotel les melees in Valloire, but then again, we were happy to book to stay with them and explore a change of scenery!
The hotel had opened only weeks prior to our visit, following a frantic period of refurbishment, so not unnaturally, a few teething problems remained. The rooms had been refurbished to a high standard, tThe ambience and the friendliness of the hotel was excellent, you could not help but notice this the moment we walked in. Manuel is getting up to speed in the kitchen and very soon his excellent cuisine will be there for all. Florence is coping with the front of house. The wine list is as capacious as before. We look forward to returning in 2019.

Short trip to Valloire only 2 nights 01/03 Jan.2018
My last stay at this hotel was a couple years ago during a summer expedition with my bicycle (trip which I recommend). I was positively surprised about the “new infrastructure" and since we couldn’t skis due to the bad weather :( This gave us the opportunity to appreciate the village but also the restaurant and the wine selection :) I will definitely come back!
