Having read some poor reviews I was concerned, but I had absolutely no reason to be. The hotel delivered much more than expected. The staff we encountered were all helpful, the bar staff are brilliant. Top tip - upgrade to the all inclusive drinks package when you arrive. €109 per person for the week for a large range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks all inclusive. The food was as to be expected, I’m fussy but managed to find something tasty every day. The selection at the salad bar & the meats and cheeses included were a nice surprise. The evening entertainment was exactly that - entertaining. We enjoyed the shows and the atmosphere around the hotel. The rooms were bigger than others I’ve stayed in in Val Thorens and the location of the hotel couldn’t be better. Ski out, with 2 choices of runs down and the lift drops you off about 10steps from the entrance to the ski locker room. Wouldn’t hesitate to book Club Mmv les arolles for our next trip to Val Thorens. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

It's rather average, but it won't spoil your holiday, as another reviewer on here has noted (mcmanus_11).
The lunch and dinner buffets were decent, with different themes every night and vegetarian options. Free wine on tap was a pleasant surprise (granted it's France, but then it's a ski resort where they try to squeeze as much money as possible out of you).
There's no liquid shower gel in the room - you get two bars of hand soap and body soap / shampoo. These were not replenished the whole week we stayed there. When I notified the reception on the last night, they were mildly surprised, but no soap arrived. On the other hand, our request to turn two twin beds into one double was dealt with by housekeeping immediately.
There's a small (and rather under-heated) spa, which you have to book in advance to use. We were allowed to stay there for an hour; on other days, however, the time limit wasn't enforced as strictly and the place got rather full with big brutish Brits hogging the jacuzzi for more than 40 minutes (and there was little water left in it after they got out).
Coffee and drinks at the bar are very decently priced (for ValTho) and Jade at the reception was great.

Booked 3 rooms for a party of 5. Check in was smooth and the rooms were ready for us early. Rooms are on the small side but functional & very clean. Plenty of storage, good hot shower and separate toilet. Cleaners came in every day and folded our clothes, made beds and cleaned the bathrooms. No complaints here. We stayed half board which included breakfast and evening meal. Wow! all I can say is the food was amazing. Good choice of hot & cold breakfast including toast, jams, eggs (which you boil yourself so can choose hard or soft) bacon, fried eggs, beans, sausage, porridge, cereals, yoghurt & fresh fruits, honey etc & evening meals were also excellent. We paid £750.00 each and to be honest we thought the food might not be very good & thought we might have to eat out in the evenings. We were so wrong. The food here is amazing and lots of choice for everyone, including vegetarians. The restaurant staff are very helpful & friendly. Also free wine of your choice at dinner (on tap) and was actually quite nice. The bar staff we less friendly and not enough on duty which created long queues at times, especially when the 1 member of staff was making coffees as well. Overall a lovely hotel with good food at a budget price. Thank you for a great holiday experience.

Great location for ski in / out and central to town, no qualms there. Top marks too for the entertainment / bar area where we enjoyed some great live music (#WSRoses). But this is where the fun stops. Our room was more than cosy, not helped by the fact that there were 3 beds in our 2 person room which left us nervy each night as to whether we should be expecting company or not. Room amenities were average to non-existent (no room iron or towel change) and the hairdryer resembled a whispering mouse. The food disappointed too unfortunately. Had beef one night - what a misteak. It was so raw that it nearly walked off my plate. Overall, the hotel did the job for a large group but nothing to write home about, see you on the next one.

The best thing is the location walking 10 meters to a lift and ski in ski out. Despite many comments I have read I would come here again and recommend this hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable and unless you intend spending a lot of time in the room they are fine. No balconies. The food in the main was good quality with many choices and for the more fussy if you do not like the main options every night there is pasta , pizza, salad . Plenty of wine . Breakfast buffet excellent . Staff mainly friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment awful so bring your own !! There were always snacks , tea, coffee, juice on offer and half board is plenty. The sun terrace is fabulous.

The Location was excellent, but everything so poor
The Bedrooms we booked, had two very small single beds, very narrow and small length and hard. Think had child beds !
The bar and lounge area was basically a French Kindergarden !, so many Under 5 children and then entertainment by the Hotel for them
Breakfast was very disappointing, orange and apple were watered down, the machine even produced these with about 70% water on occasions, Coffee urn, was often empty and then waited up to 30 minutes to fill Hot options were often waiting to be replaced after becoming empty and again could wait up to 30 minutes
Evening Meals were extremely poor quality indeed. Never hot, completely tasteless and when attempted a meat dish, too tough to eat So called chef waiting on in a T Shirt, said it all
Cannot believe the good reviews ! Amazed !

Absolutely average hotel.It won’t spoil your holiday if you stay here but it’s dated.You’re paying to be in Val Thorens not this hotel. Can’t check in till 6pm and if you turn up early you have to pay €28 to check in early despite our room being well ready when we checked in at 2pm.Check out is at 9am so clearly a bit of a money maker for the hotel.There’s a decent selection of food for everyone vegetarian kids etc.The plates are cold tho so you have to eat your food quickly before it’s cold. The boot/ski room is small and the lockers are tiny also the boot heaters don’t work. The staff are friendly and helpful and the in hotel ski rental place is ideal. There’s a gondola on the side of the hotel.It is ski in ski out but it’s right on a blue which is a bit tasty for a beginner there is a little side track to the main slopes for beginners but involves a little walk.

Have been disappointed with the hotel. For the price we paid it isnt to a high enough standard. This is the most we have paid per person to date in over 20 years of going on ski holidays. At over £1850 a head for 3 people sharing a room its one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. Photos make it look better than it is. Triple room is tiny although the beds are comfortable and the rooms stay an even comfortable temperature. Breakfast is what you would expect from a ski holiday buffet. Evening meals aren't good. Plenty of salad stuff but mostly tastes bland. Very little to choose from on the hot food buffet. The food was luke warm most evenings. Deserts are very average. If you are going to the bar you cant order a round and pay for it. We were issued a swipe card which you use when you want a drink. Thats a pain in the ass for 3 men on holiday because no one wants to start keeping a tab of who owes what and if a man takes a drink when the other two dont etc. It put us off even going to the hotel bar. Given one ski locker for a triple room and only 2 peoples equipment fits. The hotel is in a brilliant location and ski in and out is literally that. You have to walk about 10 meters from the ski room door and you are on a slope. This was our second time to Val Thorens and the town itself is still one of our favourite. The ski area is amazing and the shopping area, swimming, gym and wellness area in the town is brilliant. Will definitely be back to Val Thorens but not back to this hotel.

Check in time late afternoon at 6pm, tho we arrived at midday. Small rooms, tho plenty of hot water for shower. On site boot/ski hire BUT you have to put 100 Euros deposit down, which we didn't expect (as was the 100 Euro deposit for room keys). No payment at bar in cash, all done on room key (but only has 100 euros on it, then you have to top it up at reception, which closes at 9pm) Boot and ski room on site, BUT heated boot warmers NEVER worked, despite numerous complaints. On half board and it was stunning, plus unlimited wine with evening meal. Very hearty meals for breakfast and dinner. As expected all evening entertainment was in French, and loads of kids running around everywhere but a nice, quiet lounge bar for later. Ski in and out - brilliant!! I would go again!!

This must be the worst hotel that we have had the misfortune to stay at. The food is cold and not very appetising. The gala Christmas dinner literally became a free for all when they changed the sitting time without notification and said we should have reserved a table if we wanted to sit together. Room cleaning is on Friday morning which doesn’t help when you leave Saturday morning. We haven’t seen the crystal rep since arriving. The whole place is a shambles and I’m sure we could have found a lot better for £2200 DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. We shall be contacting crystal on our return.
