Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Vallee Blanche on a school ski trip and came away more than pleased at the service and friendliness of the staff and quality of the food.
The food is often hearty meals that are filling and taste great, perfect for long mornings and afternoons skiing.
The rooms and social areas around the hotel are more than adequate with a film/disco room in the basement.
The hotel is a short walk away from the yoghurt pots that take you to the main lifts.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The communal area is large with lots of sofas, a bar, pool table and a large balcony with great views down the valley. Food was good and much better than expected, Bars and restaurants are within a few minutes walk, as is the ice rink. Ski lifts are also a few minutes walk, ask the staff how to ski to the lifts and back to the hotel, to avoid the stairs.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week during Alpe d'HuZes 2015.
Mandy, the new manager, knows what hospitality means. She, and her staff, gave us a wonderful week. This was the 4th year we stayed in the hotel and with that, one of the best. We know, the rooms could be a bit bigger, but most of the time you're out of the buidling. Bathrooms are clean and kept clean, showers are warm. Food is good and they have a perfect wifi. See you next year

Went here for school ski trip. When we first arrived in our room there was hair in the beds and leftover sweets from previous people around the room. Despite 6 of us staying in the room, there were no locks on the bathroom doors. We were told that rooms would be quickly cleaned each day with a full clean each Wednesday however no staff entered our room all week. We also noticed that the balcony poor didn’t lock properly after opening it to allow cool air into the previously boiling hot room. At meal times we were served with very small portions of food and ended up having to buy extra food from the nearby shop during the course of the week. Also we found that at meals times there was a meat option and a meat free option, but when people who were not vegetarian or something similar chose the meat free option, the hotel staff complained to our teachers saying that this wasn’t allowed and that everybody had to have a certain option depending on dietary requirements, whether they liked the food or not. When people who could eat meat except for red meat said this, they were just told they had to pick whether they had to be vegetarian or not for the week (going against religious beliefs). My friends and I also noticed during the week that staff from the hotel had been giving us dirty looks. Also none of the rooms our school staying in matched the rooms advertised by the hotel.

We stayed here for a week on a school trip. The hotel is well placed with just a couple of minute walk to the Yogurt Pots up to the main Ski Lifts. All of the staff at the hotel are friendly and willing to do everything required to ensure your stay is perfect - the night manager helped one of our students who was being sick during the night! The rooms are clean and ample as a base for a Ski Trip - some of the rooms of 6 are a bit cramped once you have 6 suitcases, Ski Boots etc but we survived!
The meals are very good and the staff table also got starters and drinks with their evening meals!
A massive shoutout to Conan the manager, Alex the Ski Technician and Caitlin our Rep who where all fantastic! The staff also organised all our Apres Ski activities for us as well.
We'd definitely stay here again should we find yourself running another Ski Trip to Alpe D'Huez.

Food was mostly inadequate, sometimes stale and mostly of poor quality. Sleeping arrangements were OK and beds were reasonably comfy. Customer service was mediocre, bar prices were extortionate and it was generally not a great experience

Came here on a school trip and now Ik why it’s rated a one star. Food is horrible and cups aren’t washed. They treated us badly as we were a school and only one plug socket for 4 girls and sink and toilet are in different rooms. There is no cleaners so u have to clean your own room and bed sheets arent changed the whole time you’re here. To get to the ski resort it is a whole work out and I wanted to go home. Service was slow and I wasn’t impressed. You have to clean ur own plates after dinner and the rooms are small. I will not be coming again.

I went for a school trip. The food was really bad and cold, the room was way to hot at night but everywhere else was freezing in the day, and there was no locks on the bathrooms. The shower was really hard to turn on and the WiFi didn't work at all.

La Vallee Blanche is great. The location is very good and the staff can't do enough for you. La Vallee Blanche has a nice bar area. The food was good and we really enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic family holiday. I would 100% recommend Ski Bound and La Valle Blanche.
