Detailed Reviews
We loved PopAlp! It's obviously really new and feels very fresh and clean. The art on the walls is fab - our room was adorned with goats! Breakfast was varied & plentiful. The hotel is easy to find, and just 1 min from the "lobster pot" lift which takes you straight to the bottom of the DMC, or 2 mins from the Alpe Express to take you to Bergers. Well equipped ski room with heated lockers. Loads of lovely restaurants within minutes - we'd recommend booking though as they all get very busy!
Highly recommended.

+1
We stayed in October for 4 days, which was out of season for skiing and the Tour de France and the many road races held. It was very quiet but we enjoyed that.
The room was clean with a fantasic view and balcony! Bed and pillows really comfortable with crisp cotton bedding. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of food at the buffet breakfast is mainly continental but we were made bacon and sausages a couple of the mornings too, which was a nice touch.
There are plenty of walks that can be done on Alpe D Huez and also in nearby Bourg D Oisans at the foot of Alpe DHuez. There is a large supermarket (called Casino) that has anything you would need provision wise. There is a tourist office there too - who provided us with maps and advised on walks we could do - both were stunning! One was to a lake and waterfall in Bourg d Oisans and one was to Lac Besson in Alpe D Huez, we also.took a trip to Vaujany as we had a car - the views are worth the trip.
Would love to revisit one day when it has snowed!

Second stay, we came last summer.
Great decor as original as ever in the POP theme.
Very well run hotel, we enjoyed a superb view with a balcony overlooking a sea of clouds! Just waking up to this spectacle is worth the detour!
Very good breakfast with lots of choice.
We chose half board which is very good. The little extra: we could choose other dishes from the menu if the choices of the day did not tempt us, we took the Mont d'or to share, at no extra cost. Awesome!
The team is young and very friendly!
Thank you for these superb holidays spent in L’Alpe!

We stayed at PopAlp over New Year. We had a room on the second floor with a balcony and great view of the mountain. We also arrived to a lovely surprise bottle of bubbly to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is really located to both the telecentre lift (next door) and the gondola (3/4mins from the hotel boot room). The hotel is in the older and in my view much prettier part of the town. Also, many of the great restaurants are located in close vicinity although we ate at the hotel restaurant 3 nights and found the food to be of a good standard. Breakfast is also good; fresh baguettes and eggs every day along with yoghurts, cereals and pastries. What stands out though is the service and friendliness of the staff; thank you all for making our holiday such a great one! We’ll be back for another stay soon!

We loved this little hotel, well appointed, with very comfortable bedding and clean design lines. The staff is indeed attentive and friendly, relaxed but professional. Excellent breakfast bar with a good choice of very fresh food, including bacon and eggs and dairy free milk/yogurts! Their restaurant 'tapas' menu seems a bit odd but dishes are actually regular size and absolutely delicious - a good alternative to the usual heavy and cheese-laden mountain food. They have thought through the last day check-out with a space to get changed from ski even after having checked out. Highly recommended!

First stay on Alpe d'Huez, thank you to PopAlp for their welcome and kindness! The hotel benefits from an exceptional setting in the heart of the resort and a friendly, colorful atmosphere in the vibrant PopArt style!
Reception and service are always available and little touches make you feel at home. Perfect for a tapas aperitif, hot chocolate or a sweet crepe!
Thank you !
I will remember this weekend at Alpe d’Huez!

Room for 4 people, transformed into 5 for us (we have 3 children), which is very rare and appreciable. Very competitive price as a result.
The hotel is almost new, and in very good condition. Impeccable rooms, quality common areas. The neat and refreshing decor.
The only downside is the evening catering, clearly not at the expected level. Breakfasts ok. We will gladly come back.

Just come back from a 5 night stay at the Pop Alp. What a great hotel, from arrival staff were excellent, from front desk reception, to bar staff to the cleaners. So friendly and helpful it really does make a difference.
For location I thought it was great. About a 30 second walk to 2 lifts. Ski room is nice and handy and is heated in the evening so nice warm boots to put on in the morning.
We were unable to take our skis back as the ski rental shop was closed. Not a problem, staff said they’d take care of it. Absolutely brilliant service.
Loved the art style too, so fun.
Rooms are nice, clean and modern. Yes a little small but for for the length of time we were in them it didn’t matter. We had a balcony view which was spectacular in the mornings.
Food, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, it’s all here and reasonably priced. Never a moment when there isn’t a member of staff to help you with what you want to order. Our kids loved the crepes :-)
100% going back next year.

Stayed in lovely 6 bedroom apartment attached to the hotel with group of 11 family/friends. Very well located for lifts/ restaurants/bars/shops/ski hire - well equipped, sociable accommodation. Apartment has own access and boot room, so feels independent from hotel, but staff team were very helpful with pre-planning, transfers etc
