Hotel’s system when they were turned on. Lift passes were not available to buy at the desk as advertised (the special machine required for this had not been delivered) so we had to join long queues at the lift stations to buy them. I’d chosen the Otel cos it had a spa but this was not included in the price and cost €11 to use the saunas etc. The pool was included but only offered a few hard beds to relax on and no towels available on the day I went. Staff were very pleasant and hardworking but these points let the hotel down.
The breakfast in the morning exceeded all expectations and we have stayed in many hotels over the years in France! There was fresh fruit, lovely yoghurts, meats, fresh bread, hot cooked breakfast options including fried or scrambled eggs, fresh omelettes, lovely freshly made crepes, pastries, coffee machine with a large selection of different coffees, pretty much everything you could possibly need for a busy day skiing!
The bar was lovely and we enjoyed the afternoon cakes after a busy day.
The hotel location is great so close to town and all the amenities and not too far to walk to the baskets in the morning or a quick walk down to a little slope to the Alpette Express which takes you to the Bergers area.
We had fantastic weather, great skiing and this lovely hotel overall a perfect ski holiday! Keep up the good work and the fabulous value for money and you will have many repeat visitors, I know we certainly will thank you.
The team were more than accommodating in offering a slightly tailored spa package for 1 hour use of facilities, a 30 minute massage and cocktail in the bar (rather than the breakfast which is their usual offering).
The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were ideal for soothing aching muscles after days of skiing, and it was evident they hadn't over booked, so there weren't too many guests. The massage was very relaxing, and finished off with a lovely cocktail sat in the hotel bar.
The customer service throughout was excellent. The spa receptionist in particular, was so friendly and welcoming.
I would highly recommend, and would definitely return. A lovely experience!
The hotel is well situated and plenty of shops/restaurants within short walking distance. The swimming pool is warm and relaxing - a good chilled vibe.
Breakfast has an excellent selection with a chef making fresh omlettes/crepes.
Room was a lovely size with excellent shower and bath. Beds were super comfy and great views over the mountains.
If we come back to Alpe D'huez then I would 100% return. A great stay and recommended.
"AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. The food is terrible, the service is terrible. You have to go to reception and ask for clean towels everyday!"Read full review
"You should definitely get a room facing the skiing area. That is where the afternoon sun is."Read full review
"With such a great location I'm sure all rooms are great but top floor with its balcony views are just great!!"Read full review
