This hotel was quite nice but it was little things that made it not worth the £300 per night price tag. Breakfast buffet was extensive but we got a lot of pre skiing exercise getting up and down collecting salt, pepper, teaspoons, butter cups and saucers etc as well as our food items - could these not have been ready on the tables?.The bathroom was so dark with insufficient lighting that we had to use the full length mirror in the corridor for shaving/make up. WiFi was not working for the first half of our stay (we were told it didn’t work well on iPhones,) then were not advised when it was eventually fixed. Boot warmers in the boot room not working as it apparently fused the
Hotel’s system when they were turned on. Lift passes were not available to buy at the desk as advertised (the special machine required for this had not been delivered) so we had to join long queues at the lift stations to buy them. I’d chosen the Otel cos it had a spa but this was not included in the price and cost €11 to use the saunas etc. The pool was included but only offered a few hard beds to relax on and no towels available on the day I went. Staff were very pleasant and hardworking but these points let the hotel down.

Sleep like a baby on the most comfortable mattresses, enjoy the spotless pool, and ask the helpful staff for whatever you need. Lovely (if a little garish for some tastes) rooms with furnished balconies. Left luggage facilities for when you have to check out in the morning but aren't leaving Alpe d'Huez until the evening after your last day's skiing - they let you return to change into your normal gear, too. An extensive breakfast with lots of choice - a limited hot selection (scrambled egg, white sausage, bacon) but of cheese and charcuterie as well as the usual fresh fruit, cereals and pastries.

Recently back from a really lovely stay at the Royal Ours. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, professional at all times. We travelled with family and we requested rooms together, which was very kindly honoured. The rooms were perfect for our needs, we were delighted! We had modern rooms which were both clean and comfortable with beautiful views of the slopes. The rooms were serviced everyday which were not expecting, but again very pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews.
The breakfast in the morning exceeded all expectations and we have stayed in many hotels over the years in France! There was fresh fruit, lovely yoghurts, meats, fresh bread, hot cooked breakfast options including fried or scrambled eggs, fresh omelettes, lovely freshly made crepes, pastries, coffee machine with a large selection of different coffees, pretty much everything you could possibly need for a busy day skiing!
The bar was lovely and we enjoyed the afternoon cakes after a busy day.
The hotel location is great so close to town and all the amenities and not too far to walk to the baskets in the morning or a quick walk down to a little slope to the Alpette Express which takes you to the Bergers area.
We had fantastic weather, great skiing and this lovely hotel overall a perfect ski holiday! Keep up the good work and the fabulous value for money and you will have many repeat visitors, I know we certainly will thank you.

Well well well, where do I start with this place!! Came on a skiing holiday with my girlfriend for 4 days and it’s safe to say the royal ours blanc hotel ruined our holiday. We was on the same flight as 2 couples who are from our area and have mutual friends, we ate out a few nights and got to know eachover better, they had an issue with the hotel as the payment system on the hotels end was not working, they had confirmation via email and also shown on there bank statement that they have payed the full hotel fee before they even arrived. As I checked out this morning everything was fine on my end got on the plane and arrived home safe and sound, I then received an email from the hotel saying they have debited £1,130.65 from my account as my FRIENDS payment didn't go though. Not only is this illegal but it is very unprofessional. ( I have attached screenshots of the email). I have now Been charged for someone else’s stay, I have no way of getting the money back off the hotel and my friend has already paid his bill and has full proof and confirmation of this. Not only did this happen, they “ACCIDENTALLY” charged me £435 twice (£870) and told me they will transfer it back to me. After having to constantly hassle them for my money back they only sent me £830 back, so not only have they charged me for someone else’s stay they have also short changed me £40!!! The rooms here are an absolute disgrace. No towels get changed and not fresh bottles of shower gel and shampoo get changed either, you have to go to the reception and ask for them yourself! The breakfast here is appalling, everything is cold, there is never any fresh juice as they don’t replace it when it’s empty & they don’t change the fruit, the fruit was sat there for days on end and gone mouldy (photos attached). I have emailed them back that I will be taking this matter to court if I don’t receive MY money back within 3-5 working days and still have no response. Guys please please please stay as far away from this hotel as possible. It is absolutely shocking here!!!!

We stayed in the 704 room, it was nice and comfy, it had 2 floors and a terrace with beautiful view. One floor had a bathroom and sofa bed and the other a double bed and complete bathroom with jacuzzi. It had a small fridge (though it was empty, no mini bar in room service) and an electric jar to prepare tea or coffee. There was a pool, but we didn't use it. Breakfast was good, we didn't try the restaurant. There were good lockers for ski equipment. The hotel was well located, next to restaurants, stores, and to the bus stop that took you around. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful stay.

My sister and I booked to use the spa, as non-residents of the hotel, during my weeks ski holiday. The booking was really easy in advance, with prompt responses to my emails.
The team were more than accommodating in offering a slightly tailored spa package for 1 hour use of facilities, a 30 minute massage and cocktail in the bar (rather than the breakfast which is their usual offering).
The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were ideal for soothing aching muscles after days of skiing, and it was evident they hadn't over booked, so there weren't too many guests. The massage was very relaxing, and finished off with a lovely cocktail sat in the hotel bar.
The customer service throughout was excellent. The spa receptionist in particular, was so friendly and welcoming.
I would highly recommend, and would definitely return. A lovely experience!

Staff are so friendly but service and organisation let the hotel down. Access to lifts is a long walk (no shuttle bus) and resort bus is sporadic and still a walk up a hill from the boot room. Although a very good choice at breakfast they don’t replenish the food until you’ve waited for a long time. Boot room good but the dryers don’t work. Bar great but the seats uncomfortable. Spa pool looks fine but the water is cold and no jacuzzi. Rooms are spacious enough and bathrooms good but USB ports don’t work, pillows hard. Hotel located in the nicer aprt or town, if you don’t mind the bells or the church at 8.30 am every day. 😉

A little worried after reading some comments from 2021 and 2022, we had an excellent week. The hotel has been renovated, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very well equipped (including enough cupboards). We chose the half-board option which turned out to be an excellent choice: quality cuisine, sought after with the choice between 2 starters and 3 main courses and a dessert buffet. Only downside: a little wait at the restaurant largely compensated by the kindness of the staff. We took advantage of the swimming pool (water at 29°) which was also redone. Breakfast with choice and especially excellent bread. Shuttle stop for the slopes 50 m away. We look forward to returning. Our favorite address in Alpe d'Huez.

We stayed 5 nights in this newly reopened hotel with a new young, dedicated team committed to providing customer satisfaction. From breakfast to dinner via the spa, we had a very pleasant stay, feeling welcomed and surrounded with great kindness, smiles in an excellent general and constant atmosphere. The best part during this stay was the surprise of the New Year's Eve entertainment with these three singers who created a crazy atmosphere until 2 a.m. Thank you to the whole team and of course to the new young director.

Excellent stay. Staff were lovely and gave us a nice surprise for our anniversary.

The hotel is well situated and plenty of shops/restaurants within short walking distance. The swimming pool is warm and relaxing - a good chilled vibe.

Breakfast has an excellent selection with a chef making fresh omlettes/crepes.

Room was a lovely size with excellent shower and bath. Beds were super comfy and great views over the mountains.

If we come back to Alpe D'huez then I would 100% return. A great stay and recommended.

Hi I can’t answer that question because we just had a double room so I didn’t get to see family room but ours was spacious. It’s worth emailing the hotel because I had a few questions before we visited and they were really helpful and replied quickly. Have a great trip it’s such a beautiful resort. Although the pound is weak against the euro so eating on the slopes can be quite pricey we hit the spar for snacks to take which is in the village.

Dear guest First of all, I do apologize for the delay of my answer, I just take note of your question. All our rooms offers a balcony with a beautifull South view on the mountains. We wish you a nice trip and anticipate the pleasure of welcoming you on March. Best regards, and Happy New Year. T.Rovira Manager
