Detailed Reviews
Located just near ski lifts and virtually ski in, ski out. Ideally situated for ski hire, and restaurants. Seems to have been recently refreshed with a nice reception area.
Breakfast was continental but excellent with a wide variety of cereals, cheese, bread, ham eggs etc. etc.
Staff were great and our room was large with good storage.
Heated boot room inside and ski store at side of hotel
Only criticism was the steps leading up to the hotel were not cleared of snow/ice and a little treacherous in ski boots.

We recently stayed at this hotel for our skiing holiday ( booked through Sunweb ) and we not only had a great experience skiing we had a great stay and experience at the hotel . Clean friendly and a superb location to the lifts , rooms are more than adequate for a couple with storage and facilities. Stayed half board and the good was not only good but also an experience with the fondue sets with various meats . Nothing was too much hassle for the staff if you wanted something different. Good homemade food , and plenty of it too .

We stayed in Hotel Alp'azur after checking out the hotels in Bourg d'oisans, all of which are seriously sub standard. The difference could not be bigger when you come up into Alp d Huez and stay in the Alp'azur. The hotel was quiet, but the welcome was outstanding. The rooms are beautifully and simply decorated in a classic alpine style. We were fortunate enough to be at the front of the hotel on the first floor where the views of the surrounding mountains are fantastic. The hotel is perfect for cyclists and skiers alike. There is a handy store room for bikes and skis. Overall, the hotel is clean, really well cared for and owned by a conscientious couple who clearly care for their guests and ensure they have a good time. We couldn't recommend it highly enough and hope you decide to stay. We'd certainly recommend that you make the trip up the mountain to avoid staying in Bourg.

We went to this hotel between a couple/friends and we paid the same price (except for a couple at 50e who ended up with the little difference in price with a balcony suite/bathtub/separate toilet), on the other hand with my spouse were the bad ducks, we found ourselves in a maid's room for the sum of 267 e per night! A tiny room with a bird's eye view of the eggs (people passing by saw everything in our room) very poor soundproofing, tiny bathroom (toilet stuck to the shower and shower) insufficient heating, no parking for the car and no places in the station.
The only positive point is the location of the hotel and the breakfast, but that is the case for all hotels.

I was disappointed with this hotel after reading some of the reviews; I would rate this hotel as a 1 star (just).
1) Rooms are small (even though we had a front and supposedly bigger room with balcony).
2) The toilet had a terrible smell because the vent was full of mold.
3) The bath tub had black mold around the top of the bath where the shower dripped.
4) The decor was rustic (I am being polite).
5) Beds were not comfortable and had a strange tube pillow.
6) Walls and doors are thin (take ear plugs, you'll need them if the hotel / resort is busy); we were woken at 5:30am by our neighbour's hair dryer, sounded like a plan taking off for about 20 minutes.
7) Breakfast was awful, basic, lukewarm / tasteless coffee, plain (cheap) yoghurt, three choices of cereal (2 for children) so only one for adults, croissant / bread and jam. Very boring after a few days.
8) Service was non-existant. I struggled up stairs with luggage whilst the owner kicked-back at reception; another hotel guest helped me.
9) Bike storage is basis, take good locks.
10) Parking is limited.
Would I stay at this hotel again? NO.
Would I recommend this hotel? NO.
The one good point is that the hotel is well located and our room did have stunning views.

We stayed there a couple of nights during the Marmotte cycle event. We had a front facing balcony room. Rooms plain but comfortable with separate Wc and a bathroom en suite. Toiletries basic (sachets of shampoo or a dispenser). Coffee and tea making facilities in the room would be good to add.
Management and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast basic but adequate. Bread, croissants, jams, butter, cheese, plain yoghurt and boiled eggs. Coffee was from two automated coffee machines including latte and cappuccino and good. Went for a refill on both days. Staff also helpful in moving place settings outside as required. Both days were sunny so we did this and breakfasted on the terrace.
Location good as near restaurants, shops, swimming pool and not far from the Palais de Sport where the Marmotte finished. Car parking is in the road outside the hotel. Signs say parking is limited to certain hours but we were assured by the hotel and nearby shops that not a problem in summer and all was okay.
Overall a comfortable B&B stay although a little expensive but maybe this was because of the Cycle race event on at that time.

We booked this hotel as the reviews were good and we were really looking forward to our annual ski trip. Upon arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who instantly took a disliking to me and my work colleagues! Threatening to call the police if we make even the slightest bit of noise. I can only presume this was because we were British males who were happy and just having a good time. Well from then on if there was even a bit of noise in the whole hotel we were blamed, often being threatened they’d remove us from the hotel without a refund. Obviously this made us feel very uneasy and even slightly paranoid about the whole situation. Do not stay here if you want to have fun.

Alp 'Azur is perfectly located in Alpe D'Huez, within close walking distance to the shops and restaurants, and next to the cage lift (cost included in your lift pass) that takes you either to the lower town, or up to the start of the Signal lift. Perfect for skiing.
The superior rooms are well worth it, with a good amount of space, a lovely balcony with views over the resort to the mountains, and a welcoming bathroom. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the sheets are of very good quality. There is a kettle, and an excellent selection of herbal teas and instant coffee. If you like English tea, bring some bags and buy a bottle of milk at the supermarche (in winter it will keep cool on your balcony!).
I don't usually take breakfast, but the buffet was so good I did for the last 5 of my six days. Delicious dried fruits and cereals, yoghourt, eggs to soft boil "live", a small but superb selection of meats and cheeses, quiche, fresh bread, croissants and pastries, with good coffee and juice. If you want to ski through the lunch lift lull, you can after a breakfast like this.
Best of all is the kindness and service offered by the staff - led by the very lovely Severine. I wanted to ski on my last day, and catch the bus to Grenoble at 4. I was resigned to travelling in my ski gear - but no problem - I was offered a shower room to shower and change into my travel clothes in. Merci, Severine.
I'll be back at Alpe D'Huez as soon as I can - and I'll be staying at Alp D'Azur.

Visited again this year. New management - lovely and welcoming, updated decor in communal areas - much more choice at breakfast and a room that was perfect for our needs. Great views and locations with so many great places to eat and visit on the doorstep.
