Let's be clear: this hotel has no pretensions to being a ritzy tourist place. But if you want somewhere comfortable for days of exploring the varied natural world of the Camargue, set off in the morning after a good breakfast, sleep well at nights in a comfortable bed - and above all be well attended by the most friendly and accommodating hosts - this is the place for you. Very reasonably priced : excellent value for money. We were there as active grandparents, and daughter and husband and two children (8 & 6) : could not have done better. Highly recommended.

Isolated region very close to the town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, 5 mins by car. The rooms are small but cozy, great for a couple's get away. The breakfast is good but the staff is not that active. Not the most exciting hotel but the attractions of the region will make you be on the road the whole time.

We were here in Autumn to get away a bit from the cold and rainy weather for some days and because its closer to the feeling of spain than anything else outside of spain.

The whole Hotel Area made a promising impression, but you could clearly feel that it was off season, as it was kinda empty and the maintenance of the whole site was reduced to minimum. The shame was it was also the case with the cleaning of the rooms, and thats a no go. The rooms were generally mostly clean apart from the Window to the backyard. This window was so dirty and full of spider webs as if it wasnt cleaned for ages and hidden behind a small courtain.
Another thing was, the rooms didnt look as good and well build as in the hotel pictures at all. The rooms were more like small bungalows with 1 up to 2 bedrooms made of stone with veneer of wood around. But the build quality wasnt even close as to what you would expect from the pictures.
Bathroom and toilet were seperated on our room, and in general OK with fresh towels. The seperation was a nice touch.

The breakfast room and bar had a very nice carmague touch and the breakfast itself was ok but nothing special, but you had everything you need.
For Eating Diner its best to drive or walk to Saint Marie De La Mer, as it has alot small restaurants and a few of them have rly great Paella or other Fruit de Mer dishes, but be warned there is quite a big gap between good and mediocre ones and not always the more expensive or fancy looking ones are the actually good ones. Also when you have the chance go to the market in Saint Marie De La Mer, its a great sight and you can get kinda cheap food there as well.

But back to the Hotel. The personel could only rly speak francais and almost no english, what is kinda a no go for such a big hotel that even offers rooms over booking.com. Internet is only usable in the main building and dont even reach to sitting areas outside. But since the Main Building especially in the off season is closed off most of the time, and the internet in the bungalows didn't had much receiption as well, you were kinda cut off internet most of the time.
The Pool area looked nice but was already closed off, even tough it was still full of water, kinda clean and sometimes warm enough for a short swim. A shame.
Since you are more by yourself and cut of the Main Building without usability of a lounge Area, the rooms could rly need some extra equipment like a small fridge, water cooker or coffee machine. You better bring it with you yourself if you can.

Since every room has its own sitting area in the front, it could get a bit noisy in until late in the evening in main seasons.

This Hotel is reasonable accommodation in terms of cleanliness and facilities (Pool, bar) and room size.
However, it's located several minutes out of the main part of Saintes-Maries-De-La Mer on a busy road and not next to the Mediterranean Sea.
The rooms all have their own external entrance so the privacy is good and not much noise is heard.

There is a very good restaurant (Hostellerie du Pont de Gau) nearby but it's a brisk 15 minute walk.
