We needed to stop over for one night in this area on a car journey from Portugal to Holland and I am so glad we chose this place. We wanted quality and the opportunity to see areas we wouldn't normally visit and boy did this place and Niort tick all of the boxes!

Firstly however I must thank the wonderful owner whose greeting was probably the best we have ever had! Apologies, name not remembered - she took me to the local car park around the quaint back streets and used her pass to allow me to park for 24 hours for 2 euros! The lady was warm, friendly and full of useful information about the town. Apparently, is it a very wealthy part of France and has several insurance companies there. Just looking at the main restaurant area, 2 minutes from the house, demonstrates this and we were spoiled for choice when dining.

Breakfast was awesome, lots of fresh coffee and bread and a pleasant chat with the host, who was by now and old friend!

Regrets - just one, I wish we could have stayed a little longer.

Thank you very much, we hope to see you again one day

Paul and Janette X

This place is great. Comfy bed, secure parking, lovely people, fresh tasty breakfast, beautiful house. I would really recommend this place. Niort is beautiful, we were only there for one night but it seemed lovely.

The only point which could be worked on would be the noise Insulation between the rooms!!
That says everything!
Spotless, lovely hosts, very well situated, amazing breakfast.
We would advice it without doubt!

Well situated in easy reach of town, main sites and good restaurants. Covered car park few minutes walk away ( small fee). You can park for few minutes and drop off bags outside hotel. Room clean, tidy and comfortable. Friendly, welcoming, helpful owner. Excellent breakfast with home made preserves and yoghurt, croissants, etc in lovely sunny room. Nice to meet other guests here too. Recommended.

It's a nice house in the old side of Niort. The room is very nice, wide enough with a simple a charming bathroom. Good bed.
There's also a very luminous room where we had breakfast, and a living room with bookshelves and a direct access to a closed and charming courtyard full of plants and flowers where there are tables and chairs.
The breakfast is very good, with croissants, good bread and home made apple juice and jams.
There's also an underground car park 200 m away.

But the top is the lady of the house, a very pleasant, nice, open and warm person with whom it's a pleasure to talk.

It's an old house, with wooden floors and old doors, so you can hear other guests when they move in the corridor. It could be the only not so good thing to say about this house. But it's so charming and everything is so pleasant that you should bear this little disadvantage.

My wife and I along with another couple stopped here for one night whilst passing through France en route back to the UK from Portugal. The proprietor is Agnes who is very friendly, helpful and accommodating and could not have tried any harder to make sure we had a great stay. The hotel is well located, bring less than a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. The rooms are large and clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. The pièce de résistance of the stay however was the breakfast which was simply superb every effort had been made to ensure we left happy and full, with even free-range eggs being provided as my wife and I are vegetarian. We would certainly recommend the hotel to anybody living looking to stay in this part of France.

This is lovely B&B with great personal service by the host, Agnes. She speaks perfect English and is very helpful in finding restaurants and things to see in the area. Our room was large and quite comfortable. Very clean with a nice big bathroom. Breakfast was fabulous!!! The only down side is that parking is about 4 blocks away in a covered public lot. It WAS very reasonable for over night parking. We would love to come back and spend more time in this area.

the B&B is very good for stay in holiday some days.
It's clean; the room has a large bath and very comfortable.
The breakfast is very good and very French: all is cooked at the moment, with compote and handmade jams and marmalades. The location is very close to the town centre and very easy to reach. No problem for the car parking.
Price good.

Unfortunately we had only one night here on our way from Paris to the Pyrenees. Our room was really comfortable and bright with a lovely outlook over the garden. Agnes is relaxed and friendly so you feel very much at home. Breakfast was excellent. We were able to park the car out front for only 3 euro and since the Maison is so well located, we could walk everywhere. The town had a lot more to offer than expected so overall we were sorry not to spend more time here.
