It felt like we were guests in a private Manor House, which we were in effect! Welcoming hostess/owner. Beautiful, peaceful setting, just a short drive from town centre. Luxurious, comfortable bedroom and bathroom, decorated in appropriate classical style, but with all mod cons. Simple but more than adequate breakfast in private dining room - with croissants, home made jams, yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea or coffee in those huge bowls! Madame hovered to ensure everything satisfactory and to chat about her lovely home, in a mixture of our basic French and her limited English! This place is an up-market B & B and so much more interesting than the usual bland, chain hotel. If you are passing near Niort, you must stay here!

Domaine de CastelParc is a traditional French Hotel - set up in a mini type chateau style. But with all mod cons. Rooms spacious and exceptionally clean tidy with a mix of old and modern interior. Keeping its old charm mixed together with the TV, WiFi, ACon, Tea/Coffee, large Queen size bed a delight to hold. Set in its own grounds with the rear garden backing on the river. Secure free parking with gated entrance. Staff cannot do enough for you.
