Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived and I must say the receptionist was very nice & welcoming. We were a bit taken aback with the stripped bare walls & threadbare flooring but were told they were redecorating. The room was - to be fair - clean. However, the wiring & electrics were ramshackle at best, the decor was very drab & the plastic concertina door to the bathroom was cracked & broken. The shower was, sadly, a mere lukewarm trickle. The heat however: unbearable. No air con (we knew this before booking) & completely useless ceiling fan meant it was literally unbearable. With no option but to have the window wide open, the room sadly overlooked a rowdy takeaway with drunken revellers going in and out through the early hours, not to mention the countless boy racers whizzing up and down the street which frightened my kids. The latter we realise is out of the hotel’s control but if you are a family, do not choose this hotel. At 3am after zero sleep my 12 yo daughter & I gave up and went to seek solace & air conditioning in our car. By 5am we were joined by my husband & son who had also given up & checked out. We knew it was 2* (it was a quick sleepover stop en route South) but at over €100, we would have expected more (some sleep at the very least!). Clean? Yes. Lovely receptionist? Yes. Bearable in the heat with the outside noise for families? Nope.

On arrival, staff couldn't do enough to help us - very hospitable and helpful. The icing on the cake was the piano playing french singer that was also the landlady. A hidden jem awaits you!

I DO NOT ADVISE THIS HOTEL
Very DECU by the price/quality ratio (58€ per room alone for 1 night) on October 26, 2024.
I took this hotel at the last minute because it was close to the station, I had a big suitcase and I was leaving the next day.
The old staircase is covered with an old carpet, the painting of the walls is flaking in some places and even more on the 2nd floor in the hallway.
Entering room 7, strong smell of closed.
Plus she tells me it's also rented the next day. There's an old phone, but there's no plug to plug it in.
The TV turns on but doesn't work it's marked "WELCOME" and has everything
No power outlet next to the 2 beds (it is at the entrance of the room to + 2m).
In the shower cabin all the joints are dirty.
Cast iron radiator, paint is dated and there are places where there are none left.
The bed base of the double bed is falling to the ground. There is a small wardrobe, but no hangers.
When you are in bed to turn off the light on the wall above the bed, you have to get up because the button is more than a meter above the bed.
There's a hole in the duvet cover.
And on the desk, we see that the colored plastic is dated. It is glued on it but mostly it lacks pieces of plastic.
As for the dining room I did not see it because on Sunday morning there is no breakfast. I had to go to the station.
Frankly when we see all this, I find the hotel price of 58€ for 1 person is too expensive.

Cordialement. Véronique La Gérante.
