On our way back to Northern Europe we stayed in that hotel. We arrived quite late and booked 2 roos for a family of 3 ... and a dog. Check-in was smooth and the receptionist very effective. I was surprised to see that we were able to get 2 rooms that communicated one with the other, while we did the reservation the same day of our arrival. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Located a couple of miles from the A10 highway, it is also close to a shopping center with several restaurants. Definitely a good option on you way to the South or back to the North.

Ibis Niort East Mendes is usually stop point for me 3 or 4 nights per year. The last 2 stays were very bad experiences. The last one in July 2022, i had a reservation for one room with two single beds (travelling with a family member). However the room made available had one bed for 2 guests. The reservation had been made ànd paid for one month in advance and in spite my complaints at the hotel reception, no other room was made available, or alternative offered. I was told that no other rooms were available and that my reservation had been dealt by an estagiare that did not pay enough attention to it when allocating the room type. This excuse by it self is already chocking. Also, being a silver member of the Accor fidelity card, a voucher for drinks should be offered, this was not the case.

Two bedrooms on the 3rd floor. Impossible to open the window in one of the two bedrooms because the handle is missing. Dated bathroom. hair on the floor in the bathroom. Only 1 towel per person which we had to leave on the floor because the shower was leaking everywhere. Noisy air conditioning. Broken coffee machine. An employee tells us to use freeze-dried pods. And finally the elevator is broken. 3 floors to go down with suitcases. Hotel to avoid.

Nice property, close to the city center of Niort. The Pension has a large outdoor car park (just in front) so it is convenient. The rooms are large enough to store your suitcases. I would only say that it lacks a little storage but for a night or two, it is the perfect place! The rooms are clean and very nice. The Pension also offers buffet breakfast which is excellent!
The establishment has an indoor pool that we did not have the chance to test because we only stayed one night but it looked very beautiful and welcoming.
