The location of the hotel is perfect, in the protected zone, you can easily catch the shuttle to the foot of the Mont just outside the hotel, or even walk to it (it is a 45 minutes walk approx.). The problem is the rooms have not been updated since probably 15 years, and they

Can i know how do you go to the hotel from Rennes train station?
Rennes is a little always from Mont St Michele but we had s car. I think the train from Rennes to Mont St Michel is about 1h15 minutes. The first train leaving Rennes is at 09:40, the last at 16:45. There is an average of 4 trains a day between Rennes and Mont St Michel, leaving approximately every every three hours.

what is it's drive time from CDG?
Whatever time you calculate for the drive, add on half an hour at the end for the queue to get through the barrier. You can't just drive up to the hotel: access to the area is restricted to people staying at this or one of the nearby hotels, and you have to enter a code to get through a barrier. When I was there last August, the queue was huge, though I suppose it may be shorter at other times of the year, as August is very much a peak time.

I rented a car and drove from Paris, a long (4 hours) but relaxing drive on very good roads. Once in the vicinity, but a few kilometers away, there are free shuttle buses that pass the hotels and parking lots to bring tourists to Mont Saint Michel. I found some good sites that describe public transportation options. But since tripadvisor doesn't allow web sites in reviews and responses: Google this phrase, "Transportation to Mont St Michel in Normandy" and open the web sites by either RailEurope or European Traveler.
