We had originally booked elsewhere but that was a disaster so we found this place online, walked in and got a room. Zero English is spoken here but then again you are in France so that's okay. Booked a twin room with continental breakfast for 5 nights. A lovely room with marina views, air con and comfy beds. The bathroom was a little tired but absolutely usable. Breakfast was okay although the interpretation of "continental" differs from other hotels I've stayed in in France. Its bread, croissant, Coffee (good quality bean to cup) and OJ. with offers of refills etc. The dining area lacks a little atmosphere and could do with a few pictures and a bit of background music but again perfectly usable. The pool area was nice, a kids pool and a very deep adults pool but strangely, nothing to sit/lay on, perhaps due to our visit being the first week of September. The location is brilliant, on the marina. We easily found on street parking free about a 5 min walk away (be wary of the large car parks along the roads, they are really expensive, especially for overnight)

Residence in the hotel (purchased by owners).
Rented apartment with 1 bedroom (actually bedroom c is a living room extension cut by a partition so no window!), no air conditioning a small fan!!! The rest, in juice but the worst are the pillows! We had to wash them because they smelled bad and they were yellow with for one a blood stain that did not date from yesterday! The least you can do is check this, put pillow covers and mattresses on.
We expected better based on the reviews.

Very clean, comfortable and great location. Very friendly staff who allowed us to check in half a day early and also looking after our bags for the day after we checked out. Customer service like this makes a holiday that bit more relaxed.

We booked this hotel for a short break and enjoyed it so much we will be going back!
The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of the main harbour with fab views. Plenty of good restaurants with in 2 minutes walk.
Back to the hotel, the owners are so friendly and helpful. the rooms are lovely and cleaned daily along with bedding being changed daily. air-conditioning is very affective, tea and coffee making facilities along with a fridge which had 2 bottles of water in and these were replace every day.
A big thank you to the owners for making are first stay in France memorable

We used this hotel in 2015 and decided to return again this year . A perfect choice for us , Augustine and his wife Edith were brilliant . The hotel location is situated in Cap d adge town and the rooms 10 , 11 , 12 , 12b overlook the marina with stunning views . The hotel uses the first floor of a big residential building , and to access the hotel you have a security code for the entrance door . Augustine is very helpful , and no problem is too big . The rooms are cleaned daily , with fresh water added to your fridge . The rooms have a tv , fridge , tea and coffee facilities , bathroom , and the beds are very comfortable , with fresh bedding daily .. The owners have a limited amount of English but with google translate and some broken English they help out with anything or question . We will return again to La Voile D'Or next year as we find its the perfect location for us . The naturist resort is about 5 mins in a car , also the nearest airport is Beziers .. Thanks to Augustine and Edith for a truly lovely break ..

What a great place, we arrived to a lovely room with a view of the Port we had a family room for 4 persons very spacious. Comes with a mini fridge which is handy and was always topped up with free water. Our room was cleaned everyday to a high standard. The Manager/Owner on the front desk could not do enough for you he was so friendly & helpful. Location of the Hotel was right in the Port with many great restaurants shops within 1min walk. Pool was very clean and children enjoyed this, only one area to improve there was no sun beds by the pool this may be because the area around the pool is not that big, me and my husband would of happily hired some if they were there. Great find will definitely book again.

Stayed here at the end of April 2015 for two nights. The hotel is right by the port and we chose a port view room which was well worth the extra cost. Although Augusta the manager spoke little English he went out of his way to help. Even to the point of using google translate. He was due off duty at 12:30 on the day we left but stayed on until our taxi arrived at 1:30 to ensure it arrived on time. The room was airy and clean, with great views over the port. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I spent a wonderful late September evening in this wharf side hotel. Serge and Danielle manage this hotel and deliver a terrific experience for their guests. We had a room overlooking the harbor, giving us a fantastic view at sunset. The room was not large but it was large enough for us and our golden retriever. This is a dog friendly hotel and it worked well for us. Other dog owners should know that our dog was very happy with the accommodations having found a place that was nearby to relieve himself, away from pedestrian traffic. We will stay here again next time we're in the neighborhood. Repeat business is the sincerest form of flattery.

This is an extremely clean hotel our room was basic but it did have a kettle and tea coffee supplied unusual for a French hotel. Perfect for exploring nearby restaurants. The front doors are always locked opened by buzzer and you need a key fob to access once you have checked in so very secure.

Just perfect hotel for exploring a lovely area of France. Augustine the owner could not have done more for us, including not charging us for our first night which we missed due to French rail strikes. No nonsense hotel with amazing views of the harbour right in the thick of it.

How far is the beach from hotel and is it a family or naturist beach ?
Answer from Mickee66
Sherborne, United Kingdom128 contributions75 helpful votes
Hi This lovely hotel overlooks the marina in Adge . The naturist resort and beach is about 3-4 km away , there is some nice family beaches near by , but these are not for naturists . The owners are a great couple called Augustine and Edith , and they are both very helpful . If you decide to go to the naturist resort then either take the bus , or taxi ... It's only around 5- 10 mins in a car . Also the hotel is located near lots of shops and restaurants . Also a tip is , ask for a port view ... Happy holidays to you .. Ps we are back in 4 weeks staying at the same hotel 😀
