The hotel is nicely decorated in a holiday/beach mood.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The beach is a couple minutes walk away and you can chose between private or public beach.
We had breakfast (excellent buffet sweet and savoury with home made pastries) and dinner (a very generous grilled fish parrilladas). you can have breakfast and dinner on the outside terrace, which is very pleasant.

The Capao Beach Hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel! On arrival we were greeted by unfriendly, unwilling ladies at reception. The duplex room with a sea view is small, the separate toilet is tiny, the bathroom is small, the shower in the bath is usable for people 1.30m tall and not for anyone else, the water jet is more of a joke. The children sleeping on the gallery did not get to enjoy the loud but working air conditioning. There is no table in the room, just a plastic chair on the balcony, 2 chairs for 4 and no way to dry the towels. The hotel pool is small but nice and with enough loungers, the other larger pool belongs to the adjacent apartments and can be used but there are only 6-8 loungers! The restaurant is massively overpriced, I once had a club sandwich at lunchtime which was cold and not even freshly made, more like it came from the supermarket! Breakfast is very expensive at €22 per person, but there is a bakery next door which serves a very good French breakfast for €4.40. However, the staff at the restaurant and bar are very nice and so are the cleaning staff, unlike the reception! Cap d'Agde itself is comparable to Damp2000 but with young children there is a lot of variety (water parks, fairground, etc.). It is better to eat out in Beziers or Montpellier or right outside on the pier in Cap.

Excellent 4 star hotel at a reasonable price in April when booked direct. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean, spacious and full of nice decor. It is very close to the Bianca beach and only a short drive to the marina, full of excellent restaurants. There are two pools, one heated to 29 degrees even in April, and there are padded sun beds. This hotel was a real find, and we highly recommend it.

On arrival I was hit with an additional cost of a bed for my child! Despite having booked for 2 adults and 1 child, they charged an extra €120 for the kids bed despite already having paid for the holiday. Unbelievable. As a no. Refundable deal, there was nothing I could do but pay the extra money.

I have never come across this before and my booking confirmation from booking.com clearly lays out local charges. And this was not one of them.

As a gesture, they did offer a free ‘express’ breakfast which was really uncomfortable as they watched and policed our every move in the restaurant. Just felt weird, uncomfortable and really disrespectful.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel, but rather 3!!!
No elevator, although obligatory from 2 floors for a 4 star hotel. People with reduced mobility, move on!
No room service possible.
Restaurant closed (even though nothing mentioned it on the reservation sites
High vehicle or a long hair? No parking available....
Not even a bottle of water in the room... (We are given a plastic bottle to fill at the fountain in the lobby, practical for guests in rooms far away....) We are still told that water the tap in the bathroom is drinkable.... So we are saved!
Last advice, also bring our dishes.... The only two glasses available were in the bathroom and were dirty.
Let us hope that the next evaluation by the prefecture and Atout France adjusts the category of this establishment.

Excellent, warm staff, nice, really top.
The decor is just crazy I love!
Rooms, swimming pools at the top nothing to say!!
The Pension restaurant is super good with lots of choices. The Pension offers the possibility to go to the sea on foot and that is really an important plus for your car, the beach parking is free if you are a resident of the Pension!

I stumbled across this hotel when I was looking for a place to stay next to Marseillan where my son was taking yachting lessons with his school. I wasn’t expecting such a great service in France, as sometimes even at very fancy hotels here you don’t get it. However, pleasantly surprised by everything at this hotel: cleanliness, politeness of staff, location next yo the beach, even if we didn’t use it, the sea being cold in June. The breakfast had a great choice, we ate more than should have every time. Think of travelling around to Sète, Narbonne and Montpellier, as Cap d’Agde is a pure beach destination.

Wishing to spend two quiet days, we chose this 4-star hotel that seemed to meet our expectations.
If the location is top near the beach, with smiling staff, available and knowledgeable.
A top breakfast with lots of choices, I will put two big flats on the services regarding the 4 stars that does not correspond to the services.
The pool presented as a place of relaxation "Zen" is more a paddling pool for children because the pool is smaller and shallower than the other which is for the residence. Taking a book and enjoying the location in tranquility is impossible.
Regarding the room, we were disturbed by the music of the bar which was turned off too late for a 4 star hotel.
Can do better with some adjustments

We managed to squeeze a short break in for 4 nights in Cap d'Agde and booked the Capao Beach hotel. It is 3 minutes walk from the sandy beach and is a lovely hotel to stay in.
Staff are very friendly and we felt welcome and relaxed immediately on arrival. The rooms are clean, air conditioned and a nice touch of complimentary water bottle was vey thoughtful. One thing that was missing was some shampoo / conditioner, there is shower gel which doubles up as shampoo but it is worth taking your own.

The food at the hotel is fantastic!! Amazing seafood platters, fresh fish and a wonderful charcutterie board to nibble at while having afternoon apero.

The pool was lovely, and the hotel was quiet but that might have been because of the current restrictions on travel. I imagine it can get quite busy in peak Summer.

We would definitely stay here again, we had an amazing time!

To say the least - photos from the site are not valid.
In the room, you can hear everything going on in the neighborhood and on the street - almost no soundproofing. Surprised by the extremely small beds.
The beach recreation area is completely untidy, there is a lot of rubbish lying around and everyone is fine with it. You can list the shortcomings of this hotel for a very long time.
After all this horror and complaints, the manager decided to leave early. They asked for a refund, but they flatly refused to do so.
The impression of vacation ruined the hotel!!!
