Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for just one night on our way to a funeral and, after booking the cheapest place we could find, we really weren’t expecting much. However, what a super-pleasant surprise. The building is old and characterful which obviously raises some issues but it was spotlessly clean and comfortable, what more could you want? Our room was small but there is a lounge area guests can use and the kitchen if you want to heat anything up, although with an amazing pub just a couple of minutes walk away why would you want to eat anywhere else?
The breakfast is incredible, plenty of choice and delicious hot food.
Such fantastic value for money. Highly recommended.

Great value in a superb location. Bedroom a tad small but very cosy. A most generous breakfast cooked to order by a very considerate host who went out of his way. We would not have normally chosen this part of the country but it is as scenic as much of the Cotswolds with very pretty villages and warm and friendly pubs with good food and beer.

The room was tiny and the bathroom smelt of urine. Yes dog friendly but hardly room for the dogs bed. Bonus was a lovely breakfast and lovely lounge area. Ok for 1 night to visit relatives. Host told us if we wanted to return and stay with our relatives as a whole family then he would do us a better deal than the booking platform. Alas this is not the case as he charges far more than the booking platform when we enquired. Strange that after our enquiry the guest house was suddenly not available for our dates on the cheaper booking platform!!
Consequently wouldn’t go again or recommend!!

Went to book earlier today for all three rooms for one night in February. However after my mother spoke to the owner about booking with him directly, he wanted over £30 more for the one night than booking.com. It then suddenly became unavailable on that particular night and the price has increased across the board in the space of half a day. This is after the same owner promised my parents a set price for us all on their next stay after they stayed last month. Clearly greed and lies count for more than looking after the customers. Avoid at all costs.

Quaint little b&b in a very quiet village. Peaceful nights sleep, very nice host and the most amazing breakfast! Lovely fresh fruit, yoghurts and fantastic scrambled egg.
Very nice pub in the village, good atmosphere, good food and nice staff.

The Horse & Panniers Guest House was excellent. Stayed for 4 nights. Breakfast was fabulous. The rooms was great, with small lean to. (you will see what i mean when you are in it)
Chris and the family were very knowledgeable. Uppengham, Stamford and Burghey House are places to see. 10 out of 10.

This place is great. My second visit another booked end of April with friends. Owner is very friendly and so helpful. Old quirky building but huge pleasant lounge area.
Quiet and home from home feel. Love it
