Easy to find hotel. Large parking area in front of main entrance. Restaurants within walking distance. Tram stop to central Bordeaux around a 5 minute walk from hotel. Very easy to get a tram into the town centre and reasonably priced.

Hotel was extremely quiet, more so than normal. Very strict on using hand gel and mask wearing in all public areas. Receptionist even sanitized my credit card before handing it back to me.

Room was a fair size for family of three. All items for making drinks had been removed from the room but were available on request at reception with disposable cups. Two single beds and a sofa bed all fave a good night’s sleep.

Breakfast was very quiet - only two others eating. Slices of ham were individually wrapped on plates. Same with cheese and hard boiled eggs. No hot food. Bread and croissants were in paper bags.

Would return 😊

Firstly, the hotel reception staff were excellent.
We booked 2 rooms, one for 2 people and one for 1 person, however, the price charged is per room and no reduction for single occupancy. Not a good policy in my opinion and I would normally aim to avoid hotels with this criteria. The rooms were claustrophobic, windows locked, no air without using the aircon which we did not want to use as we were not confident about the hygeine issue relating to COVID19. The bathrooms did not have separate shower, a bath with shower attachment to the wall meaning that to have a shower you had to climb over the bath......not a good option when you are in your 70's waiting for replacement knee surgery. A room with just shower would have been a better option but this was not offered and due to issues sorting an evening meal just did not have the energy to ask to change had one been available. Finally, the sealant around the bath had a serious amount of black mould it looked revolting and could not be classed as hygenic! I would like to think that there had been a deep clean, but for reasons above it did not "feel or smell" clean. It did not matter how much cleaning/cleansing had taken place, the shabby bathroom did not offer any confidence. We sprayed everything in the room with our own cleaner such was our insecurity.

Hello valbN9475VG, Thank you for your recent stay and for taking the time to write us a review. Although I am delighted to see the high rating you gave in terms of your sleep quality, I am sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your overall stay with us due to the issues encountered with the bathroom condition, and that you found the room a bit small. I also understand your disappointment that no reduced rate offered on the second room. We care about your experience and I will certainly relay your feedback with hotel management as a reference in the future enhancement of our service and facilities. We hope you give us another try and to serve you better when you travel back to the area! Many thanks, Jonathan A Case Manager IHGService

A very clean hotel with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff on reception.

It is in a location just off the motorway with free parking and within walking distance to restaurants, a shopping center and an excellent tram stop that takes you into the city of Bordeaux.

We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

We only stayed 1 night and it is a very comfy hotel to stay in Bordeaux when you have a car and don't want to get to the city centre. Tramway is next door.
We had a fantastic welcome by the receptionist: very professional and loved how serious she was on covid procedures. I really appreciated this seriousness from the hotel side.
Room is very comfy. Probably they need to be updated but they are clean and well kept. More international TV channels would be appreciated.

Passing through Bordeaux this June,
The region's hotel offering is significant, but almost all hotels are fully booked.
Arrived at the holiday inn a bit by chance, booked on booking 2 full nights for 397 euros?
In terms of the hotel: it is located on the edge of the easily accessible ring road, with free parking.
Rather cold welcome, without particular attention....in a noisy hall.
The executive room is a decent size and clean, very noisy, impossible to open the windows...
Mini bar with free access "water, coke, beer"
Bathroom with bathtub, no shower only a curtain.
Shower gel and shampoo available
Clean quality bedding.
It becomes more difficult at the restaurant level.
No welcome on arrival, waiting 5 to 7 minutes.
After installation, I was thrown a card without explanation.
Waiting another 10 minutes to explain to me what I was entitled to and take my order, extremely noisy room with the bar next door.
After a basic entry without flavors, presentation too simple, I wait an additional 40 mins to ask again if I had been forgotten, the waiter apologizes for the wait and offers me a free aperitif, I have already taken my entry....?
Fortunately I chose a tartare, which requires almost no preparation.
Then melting chocolate heart.
Result 1h20 for a single meal.
Unacceptable.
Bill more than 40 euros....

Pleasant welcome

The room is spacious. However, I expected to find the bedding (mattress and pillows) thick and soft like in other establishments in the chain... it is not the case. 4 tiny pillows from another time, old and thin mattresses, scratched furniture.

In terms of cleaning, it would be good to move the bedside tables from time to time to vacuum and especially to clean the VMC in the bathroom...

In the bathroom, very thin towels that lack softness, bathtub with old-fashioned curtain.

It's not a bad memory but clearly disappointed with the quality compared to other holiday inns.

It's a former 4 star that has aged poorly and is worth 2 today.

Arriving on a Sunday evening, I was very well received by the receptionist. He carefully prepared a board of charcuterie and cheese for me. The room was perfect: choice of pillows (soft or firm), quality products in the bathroom, welcome tray with coffee and tea, bottle of water in the mini fridge in the room. Really, everything was perfect and very clean.
The breakfast was excellent and very stocked: different breads including gluten-free breads, very good pastries, cannelés... a large choice of savory preparations. Possibility of taking your coffee with you when leaving. I loved this night spent there and I really rested there. Thank you so much

Lovely stay in this hotel and very friendly staff. The only thing is that the taxi service they booked for us Morillon taxi. Is a total rip off charging 20 euros to go 2kms and he actually wanted 25 euros. We got a taxi from the airport to this hotel costings 30 euros which is around 12 kms. May be he should go and speak to the taxi drivers at the airport and see how they make a living.

Thank you to Mirko Virrable, General Manager and his wonderful team for another fantastic stay. Namely Roberto the weekend overnight manager who looks after us so well, including our little four legged dog who is a key part of the family. As we caught an early Eurotunnel Train this time, suffering from jet leg from Mexico earlier in the week, Rodrigo looked after us at check-in and supplied excellent local restaurant recommendations. We had another fantastic stay, for the 6th year running, and look forward to staying again on our spring return trip in six weeks time. We will re-book for Autumn 24 and Spring 25 over the coming weeks.
