Great location, very peaceful, lovely walks in the forest to the beaches. Hotel Spa was excellent. The restaurant menu was limited, but good value. However, there is a wide choice of restaurants along the beach, where you can watch the sunsets. Perfect location if you are a golfer.

The setting in the pine forest is beautiful and calm. We started with a very warm and efficient welcome. The room was well-equipped and modern by French standards. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean and the room well-furnished with everything for the traveler with the exception of an ironing board and iron. A very restful stay with excellent service by all the staff.

Stayed last night at Vital Park. Beautiful hotel. Lovely modern room with great bathroom. We used their spas which is fantastic. They have a hammam, sauna, ice cave and awesome jacuzzis and swimming pool. The food at the restaurant was really gorgeous. Breakfast was very good too. Staff were polite and professional. We also had a couple’s massage which was pricey but really worth it. Felt amazing afterwards

Dear customer, We are very pleased that you liked our hotel and we thank you for your return after your stay. It makes us so happy to read comments like yours ! As for the price of massages, it is true that they are a little high. But we absolutely want to offer our customers a high quality service, which explains the rates. We remain at your disposal and hope to see you again at Vitalparc ! Yours faithfully.

This hotel is nestled into the forest only a mile or so from the beach of this beautiful little beach town. Their spa is brand new. It is truly a highlight of this hotel. Indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Wet and dry sauna. And ice room where literally one wall is a big cube of ice. And aromatherapy shower. An entire host of Spa treatments of all types. And they have bicycles. This area is filled with hundreds of miles of bicycle paths through the forest, along the sand dunes, and to the beach.

A nice area with on paper best to expect… but Not at a 4* hotel standard. It seems as the facility is trying to do some cost saving

- room temperature is blocked at 19 deg. You have to call the reception for any change (down or up)
- no hot water on the 1st morning . Had to call the reception and wait for 45 min … 😅
Same problem in other rooms apparently
- no coffee in the room … this is usually a standard offer for a 4 *

So nice facility, clean, friendly team
But too much focus on cost saving.

Overpriced hotel : room fridge in all rooms did not function, shower floor was not tidy, rooms on «  pinede » side were more directly on parking lot side, restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner for lack of staff. Pool site was pleasant. Overrated.

We stayed here July 2019. If you are coming from Bordeaux as we did, there is a bus that takes you from Gare St Jean (the big train station) to Lacanau for 2 euros per person - it takes around 2 hours and was a comfortable ride. The hotel staff collected us from the bus stop at the bottom of the road (too far to walk with luggage).Mid July, there is a bus service from the main road which runs right up to the hotel. We stayed in a pool side room which was average size with a small balcony. There is a riding centre nearby. You can walk to the main town (45mins+)
but I wouldn't suggest it if you have lots to carry back with you.

We liked.
Enough sunbeds - might be a different matter in school holidays
Quiet location
Reasonably price bike rental with helmets / some had a basket
Easy bike ride to the main town which has a lovely beach and plenty of bars, restaurants, seaside shops (note there is no shop immediately near the hotel)
Reasonably priced onsite restaurant
Good shower / towels / toiletries
In room coffee/ tea/ biscuits
Fridge in room
Good free in-room wifi connection
Nice spa (we didn't try treatments)
Golf course / mini golf a short distance away- reasonable cost
Friendly helpful staff

We didn't like
Could do with a hotel shuttle to the main bus stop - long walk in very hot conditions
Need shelves in shower!!
On site mini golf wasn't usuable

Thank you for your very complete review on your stay at the hotel. We are actually 3km from the ocean in the heart of the pine forest. There is a bus service, a few meters from the hotel. We don’t have a shuttle service yet, but when we can we arrange a pick up or take our guests downtown to catch the bus. There are many activities at the hotel or close to it, which allows you to ride your bike or walk. We look forward to welcome you soon. Jean-Michel Sezalory

My husband had booked our 38th anniversary here. The welcome was warm and friendly. The food and service top notch. The bora bora massage was relaxing, especially the body scrub part. Our room was clean and comfortable, although too hot during the night - it was really difficult to sleep. We tried turning it down, even off, to no effect. In the morning we were told, 'we should have contacted reception which is manned 24/7. The central heating is controlled from there'. Apart from that it would have received top marks! Even our small dog was welcomed at 12 euros a night.

We enjoyed a nice lunch with our 3 kids. Fish as well as chicken were excellent. For kids they offer the same menu but half portions which is perfect. Nice terrace on the swimming pool. Starters and desserts fresh and excellent ! We certainly recommend !
