Detailed Reviews

Great camp with excellent clean, tidy facilities. Just a hop skip & jump from a great beach where you can fossick for some awesome stones/pebbles in a variety of colours. At low tide you can walk right along to Moeraki Boulders.
Only disappointment was that we had booked in early January, along with my cousin & her husband. They could only come for the 2nd night, and they booked the site next to ours. Only to find that the manager at the camp had allowed someone else to stay on the site another night, and had moved my cousin to another spot! Neither of us were impressed by that at all. You book a site, not just into the camping ground and get a site allocated. There was no liaising with them at all, which was just not on. They were very apologetic but didn't offer to ask the other person to move, which could have easily been done. The thing is, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Hopefully by this happening they will know in the future to check with the people who have booked the site, BEFORE they go and move people around.
Apart from that the camp was a great wee spot. We went as part of a Teardrop get together {referred to as a Puddle} and we had a fun time. Next time we make sure we do a group booking to ensure we're altogether.

Great camp with powered and non powered sites very clean and tidy the owners do a great job looking after it and are friendly and helpful the non powered sites have a great sea view and lots of space there is a kitchen ,aundry ,and bbq for guests to use and play area for kids. The beach wall ends up at the Moeraki boulders. There is a pub and takeaway and four square. Well worth a look. Was a long weekend and loved our visit the campers are all very friendly. thanks andrea and carl

We had a powered site & were met at reception by Wendy & Chris, they are lovely people and keep the park in a beautiful & spotless condition. Wifi is excellent, facilities are very good & location is within 5 minutes from the beach. I can't recommend this campground highly enough. Thanks Wendy & Chris for your friendly approach & presentation of your lovely campground. A+++++

We had booked online on their official website, with an immediate debit at the time of booking.
However, when we arrived, the reception was closed and there was no one to greet us. After trying to reach them without success, they now refuse to refund us, although we were not able to enjoy our stay.
This is a total lack of professionalism and respect for their customers. I strongly advise against this campsite so that your holiday is wasted to flee absolutely and trace your route on other campsite....

We booked this campsite the same day we arrived, giving it an approximate time of arrival.
But when we arrived, the reception was already closed
Unable to get our access to our location and sanitary.
We have attempted to contact them for a refund but have not received any response to date. Very disappointed by the lack of professionalism on their part
I would not recommend this campsite if you are looking for reliable service.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way south in our camper van. The owners are very friendly and advised what times to visit the Moeraki Boulders around the tides and also the penguins at the lighthouse. The also recommended local restaurants including Fleurs Place which we ended up going to and it was amazing!
The site is clean and tidy with showers, kitchen, lounge and a laundry.
At $38 for a powered site it was great value compared to other sites.

Clean facilities, good sized and well equipped cabin, friendly operator. WiFi not included, no Vodafone or 2 degrees coverage at cabins.
Handy to the Moeraki boulders. Would definitely stay again. Kids had a great time on the bikes, thanks

I was last here 5 years ago, my children younger, we stayed in the well kept clean cabins. Years prior when we lived up the road in Oamaru, this was our place to getaway, enjoy the fresh outdoors. My boys jumped on the trampoline, we walked to the Boulders, collected treasures on the beach, delighted in seeing the yellow eyed penguins and playful fur seals nearby! My children now at Uni, I return, rent the wee yellow retro caravan and celebrate watching the next generation of young families enjoy this slice of timeless paradise! Thank you Alex and Mel for creating such an amazing place!

Had a wonderful time in this little slice of heaven right on the beach. Great staff, clean facilities, perfect for kids to get together and have fun. Lovely walks on the beach bring you right to the Moeraki Boulders and a 15 minute drive to yellow eyed penguins!

We paid beginning of October 32 NZD for a powered campervan site. Non powered was around 2 NZD less if I recall. Hope it helps...
