Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place for a group of friends or large family to get together for a holiday. This is a comfortable villa set in lovely surrounds in the tiny town of Eggi, and just 5 minutes drive to Spoleto. It's well worth a visit.

Fabulous house with a treasure trove of interesting rooms. Each room has a character of its own with bathroom and most have adjacent lounges - perfect to have some downtime when spending time with a large group. We were with a group of foodies that made the most of the large kitchen and many dining areas available. Great food available at the shops in Spoletto and we had a fabulous lunch for 20 at the local trattoria. The favourite pot was hanging by the beautiful pool - would love to do this again.

Room Tip: We had a fabulous room with a door to the courtyard and the outdoor garden, this was very tranquil.

We stayed for a week at Villa Campo Verde, with friends from across the world. Three couples in our group had children aged between one and 12 years old. It was simply a magical week. The house and grounds are lovely - so much space for the kids to roam around (behind a locked gate). The pool is wonderful (though not heated) and very secure. We ate communally and indulged in a magnificent meal one evening, prepared and cooked for us on site. Can't wait to return.

This was my 4th time to Villa Campo Verde and it gets better each time. What a wonderful place to spend a week with friends and family, surrounded by beautiful Italian countryside, olive groves, fruit trees and flowers. The villa is stunning and always leaves me in awe, it's been restored in such a unique way. As always, the hospitality was brilliant. Thank you!

We stayed here over Christmas and New Year with a group of 12 friends and family. The villa is large and beautifully restored and is perfectly set up to accommodate lots of people easily. The kitchen is huge, and well equipped, two dishwashers, two ovens, two sinks and washing up spaces, lots of bench space. There are lots of different rooms, lounges and spaces to relax throughout the villa, most with their own open fire places so you can always find somewhere quiet to be alone, or a space large enough for everyone. Bedrooms are large and ensuite and the grounds are well maintained with an in-ground pool. It would be lovely in summer too. There are numerous ancient villages nearby with excellent restaurants and shops. Very much enjoyed staying here.

“Villa Campo Verde is almost certainly unlike any other house you have stayed in. It takes a few days to get your bearings as you keep climbing stairs but finding yourself still on the ground floor. This is a key part of its charm and it is a magical place for children – there is no better home for a game of sardines with countless ancient nooks and crannies to be found- not to mention the tower. Our group of 12 adults and 2 children had a ball and enjoyed long lavish suppers and long nights of card games but also had enough space to escape from one another as and when we needed to recharge and an abundance of bathrooms. It is the ideal location from which to explore Spoleto, Montefalco, Assisi, and Spello. For a big family gathering this is a wonderful home.”

Stayed here with large group of friends, many with children.

House has a lot of character features, and a quirky but user friendly layout. Outside terrace for dining and large indoor dining room if needed. A few problems needed attention (wifi breaking; kitchen tap breaking) but fixed quickly by the friendly team.

Good location to explore Spoleto, Spello, Montefalco, and the main roads nearby mean you can drive easily. Worth having satnav or google maps as roads are spaghetti like.

There is a small amount of distant road noise in the day, but nothing a town or city dweller would think of as 'noisy'.

All in all fantastic, well appointed house with a large hillside garden that suits pool lounging, evening fun, and being used as a base to explore the area.
