We found this delightful borgo via our timeshare exchange company and rented it as a bonus rental. We stayed in Giovanna's House, number 12. A centuries old 2 bedroom home. On either side of our home were neighbours who had lived in Messenano for most...More

Hi there, We are from Ballina NSW and are considering visiting Borgo di Messenano via our timeshare exchange company. It seems that there are a number of separate apartments that are overseen by a lovely lady named Emanuela. We will have been "on tour" of southern Italy and Sicily for 21 days and will relish a few days to recharge before exploring nearby towns. We have been allocated a 2 bedroom apartment. You said you stayed in Marianna's and I have noticed others called Casa Giovanni etc, do the apartments have names rather than numbers? or, are there different "guesthouses/hotels " under different managers? I really want to visit Spello and take a further trip to San Gimignano. It is my husband's 1st trip to Italy and I really want him to visit San Gimignano: is it within reach for a day trip please? Thank you for your help.
