From Ragusa to Ibla, going down the Corso Mazzini Street, you will arrive in Piazza della Repubblica. Some steps trough the left of this square, you will see a red building in the Corso Don Minzoni street. It is a palace of the fourth century built on the ancient wall of the DiQuattro Palace. The upper floor hosts the hotel with forniture, pavements, exquisite lighting fixture in Murano glass, Bohemian Crystal and Capodimonte porcelains of the XIX century; there are different rooms that offer a pleasant and calm atmosphere with their old and thick stone walls and the S.Leonardo river that flows close to the garden.

Sometimes one sees pictures of a hotel on an internet site and then it disappointments in person. This one does not. The extra little touches, like their own maps and magnets, and the accommodating breakfast time, are lovely as well. There is a very pleasant walk-way in the back of the hotel that follows a brook. The staff were hospitable, and the location is very convenient for walking around. I had a very enjoyable one day stay at the hotel, lunching at the Duomo, and following the hotel's map thru the beautiful historic Ragusa Ibla. I paid ~$160 for a night.

We had 3 beautiful days at Itria Palace during the autumn and it was a blessing. In the morning we would have breakfast, when everything was nice and sunny and straight after we would be going to explore the town, but in the evening we’ve had some rain most of the days. That didn’t stop us from having tea with a nice view from our balcony at Itria that is located downtown Ibla Ragusa from where you could see the whole hill with old amazing buildings and their lights shining in the twilight. Very dramatic and beautiful as this whole hotel, made out of stone, that was so cozy and warm on the inside. Ragusa Ibla is a small town right next to Ragusa, that we’ve also discovered during this trip, although we’ve been to Sicily few times before. You really cannot get bored on this island as I think we will discover more amazing places even on our 4th visit.

This lovely hotel is situated in the centre of Ragusa with easy access to all the sights of this stunningly beautiful town. Our room was large and a quirky blend of ancient and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful and there is an elevator to help with luggage. Helpfully, free parking is close by.

The hotel is located right on the edge of Ragusa Ibla, in a very beautiful spot within walking distance from the cathedral and the Centre. There is a free parking beneath it, even if it’s hard to find a place at peak times. However, the staff is ready to do all they can to help you and they are very professional. The room was comfortable, with a king bed and air-con. Breakfast was served directly to us by the cook of the affiliated bistrot (because of Covid we couldn’t access the buffet ourselves) and it was good.

Itria Palace is very nicely situated in the city of Ragusa Ibla. The atmosphere in the hotel is great and all staff is very kind. We had a large room, which had a great view on the old town. Walking to the city center only takes 10 minutes and takes you to very nice and little streets! In this Corona times, there is no breakfast buffet but you could order everything online and eat it in the Exefood restaurant on the ground floor. Make sure you’ll have diner there as well, as the owner will serve you very nice local (Sicilian) dishes!!
