Hotel Pupetto earns rave reviews for its cleanliness and serene atmosphere, with guests consistently impressed by the spotless rooms and immaculate grounds. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness are frequently praised, enhancing the hotel's tranquil retreat vibe.
While many travelers appreciate the secluded beachfront location near Positano's center, opinions on value are mixed, with some concerns about additional costs for beach amenities. The rooms are celebrated for their beautiful sea views despite some remarks on them being dated.

The location looked great and the reviews were good so we gave it a go. Everything that was said was correct, Veronica on the front desk is awesome and friendly, amazing dining and staff and probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in! Room was a good size overlooking the sea and the bathroom and shower were large and wonderful. Let alone the cave entrance, the tiles, the bougainvillea trellis, and the outlook from the restaurant. Superb! Already booked our return.

The location being right on Fornillo beach and not the main Positano beach so it is less crowded. The hotel had a beach club but they do charge for the use of sun-beds and towels which is standard practice in Italy but we were able to have lunch and drinks and spend the whole day by the beach so well worth it. The porter service was so helpful as the hotel is at the bottom of a lot (and I mean) a lot of stairs so we didn't have to lug suitcases down to the hotel and back up upon checkout. The staff are great above and beyond, friendly and so welcoming. Our hotel room was newly renovated and we had a magnificent view of the beach from our balcony.
Whilst the location is right on the beach the flip side to this is that to get to the main Positano shops/restaurants it is a decent hike up stairs and there are a lot (i mean a lot) of them, so be prepared for that which when it's hot and humid can be taxing. The room did not have a kettle or coffee machine.

The property’s location directly on the less crowded and more scenic Fornillo Beach in Positano makes it THE single best location in town. An expertly trained staff and beautifully maintained facilities only add to the appeal. Value is a question of market tempered by quality in my opinion and so I only give it 3 stars for value based on our roughly $300 per night price tag (60 euro for beach day beds with umbrella is on the high side in all of Europe as well). We were more than happy with all of the staff in every department who started service even prior to arrival with parking arrangements and other details. Loved most of the crew at their private beach club and want to mention Alfonso in particular for his enthusiastic and positive attitude. Rooms are typically small for European market but modern with very good air conditioning.

. The room was very basic. Almost nothing in it. We didn't think it was a good value for money as it really cost a lot and everything was very simple. Although it was located on the beach no facilities were included and you need to pay (a lot) for sunbeds. Our room was not on the main building, it was located with few rooms on a seperate building where everyone can pass and right behind a restreant (which you can smell). The shwer was very small, an avergae person will not be able to use it

Amazing place, attentive and courteous service, and emaculate attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant of the hotel is probably the best in positano setvin truly breathtaking garden and offering wide range of menu prepared with local flare and daily creations. The location couldn't be better for those seeking distance from the busy center of the town just 5 minute walk away. The beach is wonderful too. We will be back to this hotel if and when we come back to beautiful Positano. Thank you

This was our sixth trip to Positano and our third time at this hotel. The town was noticeably more crowded this year, and everything is markedly more expensive. This is very true at Pupetto’s restaurant and also for the charge for beach chairs. Our room (superior with terrace) had a wonderful view but amenities are very basic (which we expected). Hotel staff are very nice. We love the Fornillo beach location even though it means that we are further away from the town - it is an easy walk as long as you don’t have any mobility issues.

Exellent location, freindly staff, good restaurant. Breakfast was good. Stayed 4 nights in the hotel as a couple, and we was pleased with the service offered by the hotel. The location is right on a quiet beach, we swimmed in the fresh clear blue water of the Amalfi Coast. Pusitano, in oure opinion, is more clean and exclusive than the other areas of the coast. We will look foreward to return to Positano.

I cannot express how wonderful of a stay we had at Hotel Pupetto. From the initial booking, communication leading up to and throughout our stay, service by hotel staff, restaurant staff, beach club staff, and the location of the hotel, literally perfection! Veronica at the front desk was my contact person and she took care of absolutely everything we could ask for; car services, porter services, directions, suggestions etc. She is truly phenomenal! The location of the hotel is second to none in my opinion as it allows for a more quiet atmosphere while in Positano but is only a short walk away from the main area. The walk in itself is incredibly beautiful into the main area of Positano. The in house restaurant was wonderful and the “Pizza Man” Pasquale was an absolute master! Probably the best pizza we had on the Amalfi Coast. I highly recommend Hotel Pupetto for anyone wanting a special stay with an amazing level of service. We will definitely return!

If you want an exclusive beach resort in Positano then Hotel Pupetto is the perfect place for you! It's just perfect for that getaway to enjoy the beach, and good on site food if you don't wanna leave.
It's just a short 6-10 minute walk from the ferry docks once you arrive, and don't worry they have porters to come and pick up your luggage. You will get some stunning views while walking to and from the hotel to the chaos of Positano.
The room was very modern, had perfectly working ACs, and the sea view was the best one could ask for. Beach access from the hotel was perfect too!
The restaurant on site was really tasty, and affordable! You also got a discount if you are a hotel guest. The pizza here was tasty and served pretty much all day.
Beach chair access was MVP so you always had a decent spot as long your a hotel guest. It never got super swamped either so it really felt like a private resort.
I'd recommend this place to everyone!

This hotel was an incredible place to stay at- I highly recommend it. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived! The best thing about this hotel is THE VIEW!!! It’s right on the beach!! If I have one word of advice- organise a transfer to your hotel through the actual hotel prior to your arrival!!! We arrived in Positano by Taxi from Naples Airport and had to pay 280 Euros (he charged us double to make up for his way back) AND he dropped us off on the main road, no where near our hotel. I called the Hotel and told them our location and they immediately organised a Porter to come and meet us where we were, he took our luggage and guided us to the Hotel Entrance. It was an absolute headache to get here but arriving at this hotel made it all worth it.

We usually catch a train to Salerno then a ferry from Salerno to Positano (lovely trip up the coast past Amalfi, about 1 hour). Once you arrive in Positano (main beach) it is a 10 minute walk around the point to the hotel in the next bay. You can arrange with the hotel for a porter to collect your bags from you when you get off the ferry and he will trolley them to the hotel.
They charged my account shortly before my visit last September. You will absolutely love this hotel. Also, it has one of the best restaurants in Positano!!!!
There are more places to choose from in the Positano area.
