Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been doing spa treatments and mud treatments in Abano and Montegrotto for 27 years.
I've tried many....beautiful and not so beautiful....but the kindness I found here is unique. The hotel is a bit dated, it's like an elegant beautiful lady, it should be modernised... but if I have to choose super luxury with worn out materials, or despotic people, or mean staff and the air you breathe is heavy... I prefer the simplicity of the Apollo, where every year you find the same kind and helpful people, the environment is healthy and clean and the mud is made as tradition dictates with hot mud freshly scooped up in buckets, wrapped in sheets "not in plastic "...dryed with hot towels, the pools never crowded, and Christian the lifeguard who is always kind, and the water aerobics teacher who is always super nice, and Luisa who does her best to please everyone, and the mud attendants, the masseurs, the reception who are all kind.. .all good and competent. Thank you all. It's the second year we've been back and we'll be back again.

I stayed one night between Saturday and Sunday, the room was beautiful with a view of the pools and the Euganean hills. we had both lunch and dinner and we ate divinely (to report that the waiters always asked if you wanted the encore of the courses) Very kind waiters even the staff at the bar! The internal space where there are sunbeds is not very large but they guarantee space for hotel guests so we have always found a place without problems, the pools are large with many different whirlpools, the sauna and Turkish bath area of Vedi that has been redone recently, with also emotional showers. Next time I want to try the massages, unfortunately I did not book and rightly it was all full .. means it's worth it. a great weekend of relaxation!

I stayed at the Apollo hotel on the weekend of 28-29 September. I particularly enjoyed the four pools, three of which have hot water, and their large green area outside. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Quality both breakfast and lunch and dinner, where you can order dishes at the time being able to observe them from the cart. Hotel staff always available for information and clarification.

PRO
- Excellent thermal pools, with many hydromassages
- Kneipp path
- Sauna and Turkish bath
- Very shaded park around the swimming pools
- Numerous and efficient elevators
- Large and shaded parking
- Quiet location surrounded by greenery

AGAINST
- The hotel charges a supplement for pool use for stays longer than two nights. This supplement on the platform I used to book is not clearly specified at the time of booking. It is communicated only after paying and there is also no possibility of canceling the reservation.
- Breakfast quite banal.

Isolated in a park surrounding the external pools, it's a very confortable hotel, with big clean rooms (and we had the standard one). The structure is not new, but very well kept. Comfortable beds, lots of places for dresses and luggages, big bathroom with all you can need, including bathrobes and towels for the pool.
From the internal warm pool you can swim outside and enjoy the warm bubbles areas. In a few meters walk you can reach the even bigger "cold" pool, perfect for swimming (and it has strong bubbles massages on the far end side too). The surrounding park is very pleasent.
Breakfast is a rich buffet, including ham/sausages/eggs as well as cakes, excellent fruit salad and yogurt. There are automatic machines for fruit juices and coffee.
Dinner is composed of buffet for entree and fruit, while first and second dishes are served at the table from a rolling tray, with 2-3 choices for each dish. Good quality and friendly service.
You do need a car: there is nothing around, you have to walk quite a while (1-2 km) along boring/unintersting roads to reach the village (that is fairly small and quite, too). Much better to go for a walk in the nearby Colli Euganei hills.

Hotel pools very good, relaxing quiet part of town 20min walk to railway station hotel breakfast was very plain fare croissants, rolls cold meats the cooked sausages and scrambled egg very poor, the staff are good the two male bar staff very good. The rooms are clean the hotel rooms dated also other areas. German clientele 95% in hotel the town has very few restaurants in the centre. Mary's pizza restaurant is excellent she is very good with customers. The local hotels have entertainment ,the imperial on Friday saturday.Venice is 45 mins away by train very expensive to eat in most areas, when me and my wife sat down at a restaurant at the rialto I noticed that the wine was 30 euros for the cheapest my wife and I got up to leave and the waiter had the cheek to demand 2 euros as my missus had the use of the wc!!The water transport a rip off. Padua has the wonderful St Anthony's cathedral don't miss it it's free. Word of caution outside the train station undesirables who are immigrants and very dodgy take a bus into centre and don't walk back at night risky. Ferreira beautiful town same problem outside station here town with shady types local police no where to be seen. Always be aware in Italy at stations muggers are drawn to them.

My wife and I enjoyed a quiet weekend getaway. Loved the two pools, one cool and one warm. Our "Classic Room" on the 4th floor was nice but absolutely void of any frills; frugal doesn't even capture it. The balcony provided decent privacy with a good view of the hills but overlooked the car park where the staff took smoke breaks and yapped.
- It seemed like the hotel was thriving at one point, maybe in the 1970's. Not sure why it was never updated, but there is just that sense of it slipping away into oblivion. All of the rooms on the website looked better than ours.
- I slept well and the shower had great water pressure with good temperature control.
- We loved the garden and the pools. Beautiful weather made for a relaxing day. The only downside was that we kept stepping on myriad lose pool tiles everywhere.
- The pool bar staff was friendly and the food was good.
- The whirlpool ("whirpool") was okay with a gorgeous picture window of the gardens that badly needed cleaning. Windex does wonders, people!
- Some of the "wellness" amenities seemed out of commission, and as there was no attendant manning the desk, it was hard to figure out what was available.
- Breakfast was good, opening promptly at 0730. Lots more carbs and less proteins than expected for a wellness place, but it's Italy.
- The day of checkout, they tried to charge us €10/each to stay and use the pools and €13/each to use the same bathrobes we already had. We thought that was a bit needy, so we had the charges removed and left promptly at 1100 (checkout time).
Overall, we enjoyed our relaxing stay but would advise anyone traveling here for longer than a weekend to look at some of the other options.

Excellent base for sightseeing from Pauda to Venice. Quiet, great rooms and 2 pools with natural springs and one with normal water. Quiet place to sit around pool, plenty of chairs and shade if desired; nice bar and snack at pools.
