We took advantage of the exclusive package with full board and unlimited access to the swimming pools and the black spa over a weekend. Light and shadow. As hotel guests we had the opportunity to take advantage of the "panoramic" pool which is a nice plus. Smaller than the chalet but with the same points of interest and a much smaller number of guests. Nice black spa with hammam, salt room, sauna (with different rituals during the day), steam bath, temzcal, various showers and Finnish bucket. Appreciable also the corner to quench your thirst with panoramic beds.
With the package we chose to have lunch in a bathrobe by the pool and dinner at the restaurant. In both cases drinks were excluded from the package. If I can understand not including vintage champagne, I just don't understand why we had to pay the 3 euros for the bottle of water. The package is not cheap, they could have included it. Nothing to say about the quality of the food. Very good gourmet sandwiches in the pool restaurant and also good dinner. Very rich breakfast even if more marked by a foreign audience (as many as 3 different types of liver pate). Dinner was preceded by an aperitif with pianist while breakfast was enlivened by a harp player.
The recently renovated room still has some defects, the window shutters, very dated, do not close well. Another sore button the hairdryer of the room, small and works only with the key pressed. If you think that the hairdryers in the pool are few and are the hand dryers put higher...I think you could improve. Also improveable handling of towels that were not available clean on Sunday morning

I booked the private day spa package for two hours with daily pool access. The structure is excellent, but the welcome from the staff is not the best. We showed up at the scheduled time for the spa, but little was explained to us, in an approximate and hasty way. Herbal tea corner reduced to a pre-filled kettle. Upon leaving we removed the armbands for the swimming pools and returned the spa kit subject to the deposit. We were told that we shouldn't have removed the bracelets, but that this time they trusted them(?!!!!). Being in possession of all the payment receipts, I didn't expect to be treated with so little respect. Therefore my vote is sufficient. We were really poorly pampered, it's not worth it. A piece of advice: pay more attention to the well-being of your guests

I chose my experience at Terme Preistoriche combining swimming pool and SPA services.
The outdoor swimming pool is quite large and also allows for a few laps without disturbing the more purely thermal area, used with various hydromassage areas, water jets and a Kneipp path. In the large garden there are deckchairs and, for those who wish, also canopies.
The SPA, located on the first floor, is a small separate island where you can experience the true atmosphere of relaxation, among waterfalls and waterways that surround the various rooms, the most classic of which are the Turkish bath and the Finnish sauna. The salt room is very pleasant, excellent, to my taste, as a closure to the other rooms.
A little disappointed by the flotation tank: I expected it to be more intimate, private, like sensory deprivation tanks; instead, she was promiscuous and open about her surroundings. Equally enjoyable, in its own way.
The relaxation corner is much appreciated, offering drinks to replenish fluids, sun loungers and sofas which overlook the swimming pool below from a large window.
The SPA changing rooms are modern and well-serviced, complete with a professional hairdryer, diffuser and small hair straightener.
Friendly, helpful and discreet staff.
Sore point, the small parking lot; you may risk having to park elsewhere and reach the hotel on foot.

Wonderful experience, professionally managed and pampering. The Neró SPA, new, full of proposals and elegant, with the panoramic relaxation area overlooking the park and swimming pools, with herbal teas and attention to the environment (the glasses are reusable) absorbs 2-3 full hours at the first access. The boxes are constantly stocked with dry, clean wipes and brown sugar scrubs and essential oils for use in the Turkish bath; the Anfguss masters are highly professional and educate on the use of the sauna and the Spa area in general. Access to the Angfuss requires collecting the token at the reception on the Neró floor, where compressed masks are also available (to be activated in water ) hydrating. The swimming pool that can be used for external access is the Chalet swimming pool, which has a very hot covered area communicating with the external part, of which 50% is hot, maximum height 140 cm I think, 50% slightly less warm, maximum height 160 cm I think, cervical showers and others hydromassage areas not active when I am present. Impeccable, high-quality changing rooms and bathrooms, with dispensers available in the showers, of which it would be a plus to point out the type of product dispensed (body cleanser or shampoo? Thermal would be top)

Courteous but understaffed staff.
Too high number of guests, it should be reduced because the spa services are always full, the relaxation areas are always congested and very noisy and the changing rooms do not have enough space for everyone.
It's a shame because the new spa is truly of a high standard, like the 5* nearby, but the large number of guests, the rudeness of some who speak in a loud voice and the absence of staff to enforce the rules do not allow you to enjoy the full of relaxation.
Furthermore, the day spa cost is on par with the nearby 5* hotels and you cannot queue to enter and return the towels, so we will never return.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in December 2024 just before Christmas and we had an AMAZING time. We were hugely impressed by the hotel itself, which is beautifully decorated, and situated in lovely parkland, and our room, which was spacious and comfortable. The staff of the hotel were all lovely and welcoming. The two swimming pools of the hotel were wonderful, and we enjoyed using the various hydromassage features positioned around the pools. We made the most of the discount offer for massages and we booked four massages each, all of which were carried out with care and professionalism. I’d like to thank Martina in particular for this. We also enjoyed going to the daily aquagym sessions led by Federica as they were great, strenuous workouts. Thank you Federica! Importantly, one thing that really struck me was that the entire hotel, from the pool areas to the bedrooms, was spotlessly clean, so I’d also like to thank the cleaning staff for that. I would highly recommend Terme Preistoriche to anyone looking for an upmarket and memorable spa holiday and I can’t wait to go back.

We went to the prehistoric spa on New Year's Day as external guests, with many doubts given the recent reviews, we changed our minds. The structure is very beautiful, we had breakfast in the room with a string quartet, an evocative experience and excellent food, all fresh. The spa area is large, there are swimming pools on the ground floor and the spa on the first floor. Everything was very clean, the staff were very courteous and attentive, it really is a well-kept facility. During the most crowded moments of the spa we went down to the thermal park, so as to never find overcrowded environments. They appreciated the scrub and mask workshops, minus the shouting of the augfuss workers near the relaxation area, they didn't lower their voices even after asking. The rating 4 instead of 5 is due precisely to these episodes. Ultimately, I highly recommend going to this facility, we had a wonderful New Year's Eve and I repeat, the staff were very kind and attentive.

This review is mainly aimed at people who want to book a Green Lodge room. Well, it's good to know that there is no closed connection to the spa.
If you want to go and take a nice hot bath you have to get dressed to move from the Lodge to the main building, after which you will find a room to change (a bit like external guests do) and leave your clothes in a closed wardrobe.
I would also add that if it rains, you will have to move a hundred meters with an umbrella and certainly not with a bathrobe.
Furthermore, there are no slippers for internal and external travel!
The management didn't even bother to listen to the reason for our departure (after only one night), it's certainly not by behaving like this that they get good publicity. The only thing she deigned to do was bill us for two nights instead of one...
And I'll stop here, I don't want to add anything else....
Perhaps in the summer a customer could still accept walking more than 100 meters outdoors but in the winter it is unacceptable!
A family or couple who chooses a stay at the spa wants tranquility and as little stress as possible, by booking a Lodge room, your stress will only increase!
The breakfast they offer you to have at the Lodge is miserable to say the least, it is brought to you in a miserable wooden box, without even being able to choose what to eat the night before, without forgetting that for two people breakfast with an overnight stay costs more than 500 EUR…
Breakfast and Dinner: sufficient/mediocre service….

New Year's Eve 2024 to forget in a location that could have been beautiful and engaging if the services of the SPA had been taken care of with attention to the customer, the "dinner" was not very poor both in quality and variety and quantity, all seasoned with an improvised DJ shooting music by the pool without logic. You saved the thermal pools and the whirlpool functions (impossible to try to make them worse). in summary, solemn (and unexpected) rip-off. it happens, we will survive, as well as the prehistoric spas will survive without us.

I went to this pool with a Day Spa entrance for an afternoon. The site is detailed and provides all the information on the various packages, prices, access times, etc., with the possibility of booking. Upon arrival I found no queue (I think it depends on the day/time slot chosen) and the staff kindly explained to me the rules for using the swimming pools and how to move inside, since it was the first time. Changing room and large shower/bathroom area, Chalet swimming pools with a fairly crowded internal area and with sunbeds pushed together, relaxation and privacy are at risk... in my case luckily I didn't have any noisy people around.
Small internal swimming pool, with very hot water, larger external swimming pool equipped with different types of hydromassages, all working. After sunset the plays of light begin which are very pleasant. In the evening it is open until midnight but I left at 7pm to avoid crowding and in fact when I went out there was a queue at reception. I did not use the SPA nor the bar/lunch/dinner service so I cannot comment on them.
A couple of notes, with a view to improving:
1) the cap should be mandatory for correct hygiene, it is not enough to tie your hair (and who doesn't have enough length?), I always wore it in the water as I do in any swimming pool (thermal or otherwise);
2) the car park needs to be looked at again, it is a large space but full of stones and mud (it hadn't rained that day or the previous ones), with the result of getting plenty of dirt on shoes/boots and also on the inside of the car. The car is also very dark except in the first part near the gate... luckily there is a smartphone flashlight.
Overall positive experience and price in line.

Check with them first but on Tuesdays it should be quiet. If you book online they won't charge your card and you still have to pay when you arrive it's just a precaution for them if you don't turn up.
