Hotel Ariston is an elegant hotel , it is an'ideal location for anyone reaching Venice by car or by bus.The young and informal hospitality, the excellent level of service and the cosmopolitan setting will make your stay even more interesting and fun.
A cheap hotel in a quiet area. Very clean and a friendly staff. The interior reminded me of staying at my grandmothers place but is acceptable because it is very clean. Every day clean sheets and a blanket, very lovely. The shower provides every moment of the day hot water. In front of the hotel is a bus stop. A little cigarette shop at the side of the hotel sells tickets for a one way trip or one or more days which we can recommend. You're within 30 minutes in Venice at the central bus stop using line 8E or after 9:20 8E to Mestre Central and from there line 4L. Really simple. In summary a fine and cheap place to sleep in an expensive city. There is only WiFi at the ground floor at the reception.
i think this is the baddest choice i ever done ,no wifi ,very old room but it clean,so so far from mestre central ,there's no buses after 8 p.m to the hotel , the tv is like laptop screen ,i think the hotel really bad.
Very helpful staff. Clean room but out of date. TV about 8 feet up on ceiling did not notice it for about 20 mins. Can not remember if any UK channels. Bus stop to Venice 100 meters away. Would stay again but only a place to sleep.
Despite the lovely reception and bar/breakfast areas, this hotel was a huge disappointment. Situated on the outskirts of Mestre it is not close to anything. If you're there over a weekend as we were, getting a bus ticket to Venice or even the centre of Mestre (about a 20 minute walk from the hotel) to find some shops or somewhere to eat is difficult, as the only tabaccharia for miles is mostly closed. The room was dated with mould on the walls and peeling paint with no air conditioning, fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, or in-room safe. The bathroom was small and old with more mould and barely any lighting and no ventilation. On the 2 nights were there for, there was no hot water, though we did seem to have hot water for a period early in the morning. Staff were mostly rude and unfriendly and seemed put out when a request was made of them. The breakfast staff did however seem nice and the only thing this place had going for it was a decent breakfast spread. I would not recommend this hotel unless you're happy with the most basic accommodation in an already expensive city.
There is a new building and an old building (or just new rooms and old rooms). The receptionist was very welcoming and he gave us a modern double superior room. The new building is clean, modern and well-kept. The free buffet breakfast is from 7am-10am and is really nice. The hotel is at 30 minutes from Venice (the island of Venezia), but you have buses right next to the hotel and it is very simple to go where you want.
