Detailed Reviews
We enjoyed our stay at Antony Hotel. Our family of 4 stayed in a spacious family room with two large double beds, lots of room to play and move, and a nice bathroom with even a bathtub.
Rooms and hotel were very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly, helpful and multilingual.
Breakfast consisted of a very generous and delicious spectrum of warm and cold food choices. It was always a great start of the day. We also were able to enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant once and were pleased.
Two bus lines, 5 and 19, stop within a three minute walk from the hotel to go to Venice. It is about a 20 minute ride. (At the airport, we purchased 72h tickets for public transportation within Venice area that included bus and water taxi). Bus number 5 also goes straight to the airport from the hotel, also about 20 minutes.
Next time when we visit Venice, we are definitely staying at Antony Hotel again. Thank you for a great experience!

Super friendly staf, good restaurant with a nice kids playroom just around the corner. The taxi pick-up is €5 per person, very correct that they did not charge our two very young kids. Requested baby bed was ready in our comfortable and modern room, we felt very welcome. Great breakfast! Grazie!

Quality 4 star hotel with all the mod cons...not overpriced..actually a great price because it’s not in the centre of crazy Venice. Quiet, modern and very clean. Great breakfast ( worth the extra few €s )
Handy to bus stop for Venice, the airport (both 10 mins away) and 15 mins Mestre Train station.
Rey very very quiet location.
From the 6th floor is a great view of Venice from your room window.
Efficient and Helpful staff.
Highly recommend

decent price - and amenities you expect in a 2.5/3 star hotel. we stayed here for 3 nights - 2 nights and the 3rd night was separate. They were very nice to hold our luggage for 2 days in the cloak room. The shuttle cost was 5$ per person to and from train station ( 15 minutes ) or airport.

It was a nice family trip to Venice, during which, we stayed three nights at the lovely and nice Antoy Hotel.
The service that I experienced was excellent. We had two rooms, one for my two childreen and the other one was for me & my wife. Both rooms were clean, nice & modern furnished. the beds were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean & nice. The view from my room was very beautiful & facing Venice.
The location of the hotel is very good, near the airport, 15 minuts with the car, or may less, to Venice & 30 minuts with the car to the wouderful water park Caribe Bay.
The hotel has a very good & wide car parking free of charge, that was a great thing for me.
The whole staff were lovely, helpful and cooprative. We as a family liked every thing in this hotel,
I recomend this Fabulous hotel to every one wants to visit Venice.
The breakfast was good, but it could be better if it contains more vegitables.

The Antony is a pleasant enough basic hotel that is clean and spacious. Ideally located for a quick airport stopover. The staff are pleasant and it’s easy to get the bus into Venice (No.5), around the corner within a stones throw. The hotel will sell you tickets for the standard €1.50 to Pizzale Roma, at the entrance to Venice itself.
It’s great they do a breakfast in the room rate. It is a good average hotel. No bells and whistles; it is what it is. It would be pleasant if they put water in the rooms and the shuttle charge for transfer to the airport is extortionate (€8 each including children) for a 3km trip. Phone a taxi…..we got there for €20 for a family of four.
Campalto is a pretty miserable suburb with very little to offer. However, for food go to Colors. It’s a small authentic place where the locals hang out and oh my Lord…..the food is stunning (and great value). Almost worth a trip FROM Venice to eat there. Some of the best pasta and pizza I’ve honestly ever tasted.
Some advice for Venice:
1.The transfer charges to and from the airport are extortionate. Shop around if you have time. We had several taxi drivers offer us prices from €20 to €35 to transfer to the hotel (3km and 10 mins max). The public bus is two stops from the hotel and costs €32 for a family of four. That is a nonsense in my view but they have you over a barrel.
2. You will pay a tourist tax per person per night (€3). Personally I think it’s a rip off, but again it is what it is. I hear the arguments that it’s for the upkeep of Venice etc., but the tourist pounds boost the economy just fine……believe me. Remember, if you have kids, you won’t pay full price but the hotel won’t necessarily tell you.
3. Get on the bus quickly. They will not hang around for you and can rudely shut the door and drive off, leaving you stood there in 30 deg heat. I know….it happened to us and we weren’t hanging around (just had a young child).
4. You can eat in Venice for a reasonable price. Just get off the main tourist drags and avoid the Rialto and St Marks areas.

We stayed at Antony Hotel for 2 nights in February 2020. The staff were incredibly helpful and the price perfect for our short visit.
We had 4 to our room (1 adult, 3 older teens) and whilst initially we were pleasantly surprised, we soon realised that it was all a facade. A nespresso machine and kettle, but no supplies. A nice touch, but unnecessary, especially if you don't supply the relevant bits. The lighting was unfathomable, and the rather tatty bathroom had a sliding door that had to be wedged shut as it kept sliding open!
All petty little complaints that seem unjustified when we only used it to sleep and for the fabulous sum of 3Euros we could get a return bus ticket into Venice.

The front desk, shuttle driver and restaurant staff bent over backwards to make our 3-nights of stay as effortless as possible. Front desk helped in providing bus tickets, mapping information, arraignment of specific shuttle usage and providing a room upgrade just because they could do it for us. The shuttle driver was extremely pleasant and adaptable to our time and location requests. The restaurant was most helpful and attentive during breakfast or dinner. It was a most enjoyable stay with these new found friends.

Had the most expensive “hypoallergenic” Venice-view room. It had a dirty dusty carpet on the floor by the bed, cobwebs on the ceiling and hairs in the sink and on toilet seat. On top of that they never informed us in advance about the restaurant being closed.
€115 (without breakfast) is a price I would have never paid for a (4 star!) hotel like this. The whole hotel needs a renovation, badly!
We also got wrongly informed by the staff about a bus stop and a taxi to the airport would cost €20 to €25 but ended up having to pay €40.

Dear Leandro, thank you for your review. due to the covid restrictions at the moment our restaurant is closed. there are many restaurants nearby the hotel. we would be pleased to suggest you some nice places for a good dinner! if you call a taxi very early in the morning, there will be an extra charge for night service taxis do not have a standard rate, it depends on many factors. regarding cleaning, we will do our best to improve our service. we thank you for choosing our hotel best regards Paola

Bus from the airport to the hotel was easy enough. My 2 year old and I took the number 5 bus, which cost me €10 (free for those under 6), which dropped us off very close to the hotel.
We arrived early and our room was ready. Brilliant of them. We had the Venice View Deluxe Room, number 615. Beautiful view, but there were ants around the side of the room and under the mattress. Both dead and alive. Went to reception, and they gave me Room 512 (I mentioned that there was no rush and we had this room after we came back from Venice). A lower spec than what I had paid for, so really wasn't happy and not the Venice View. The room however I was much happier to have (no ants). So a complimentary dinner, which our pizza and lasagne arrived in record breaking time, less than 5 minutes, wasn't great and unfortunately we left most of it. The waiter was wonderful, but the menus weren't clean. After ants and dirty menus, I was having massive doubts with Antony and was tempted to stay somewhere else.
Breakfast was basic. Not much for vegetarians, all I had was scrambled egg on toast. It tasted great, but apart from a little bit of fruit, yogurt, beans and cereal, I wished I hadn't bothered and brought supplies from Lidl.
Members of staff at reception were lovely to us, so a credit to them for putting up with me being unhappy with the room and at times a loud little boy. Great patience and helpful with information with regards to the bus into Venice (€1.50 on way).
With our first room we had, we had the mini bar included. I was looking forward to seeing what they had and what I could enjoy after a busy day exploring. All there was - water. One fizzy, one still. Disappointed.
Overall. The hotel was nice, but I wouldn't stay there myself again.
