So I stayed here with the tour on June 6/24 for 2 nights, the hotel was fairly nice, I was in room 419, the room was a little better and slightly larger than the hotel in Prato, the shower was still tiny but slightly larger than the hotel President, there was a bag seat, a desk with a chair and the best part was the electrical plugs were actually above the side tables so it was easy to plug my electronics into.
For dinner on the first night at this hotel we had rigatoni with hamburger meat, which I had never ate before because I only eat macaroni and sometimes spaghetti and I don’t really eat other pasta types at home so this is the first time, it was actually good, we also had a lamb or something of the like, with small potatoes and dessert was a jelly pudding with strawberry sauce, very good as well.
Overall, this hotel was a fairly nice place and they do have a luggage room on the main floor and a bar too and I would come here again if I wanted to stay in a nice hotel.
4.5 out of 5 for a really nice hotel
4.25 out of 5 for nice décor and overall charming place
4.5 out of 5 overall for everything

Nice hotel in the close centre of Mestre. Venice is easily accesible by bus, the station is right next to the hotel. The staff was nice and very helpful, they even recommended where we should or shouldn't eat in Venice. The breakfast is the typical hotel breaksfast and you have oprtions to choose from. The longue room is spacy, good for gathering. The furniture is a little bit used, but not in a way that would affect your stay there. The wi-fi could be a little stronger.

Okay, I share the blame for this, but it's a little misleading on booking.com because the hotels name being Hotel Sirio Venice, and stating it is 0.3km from the centre led me to believe I was in the heart of Venice, but it's 0.3km to the centre on Mestre, a superb approximately 10 km from the island. Paid €30 each time I got a taxi, but as I say, if you read the details, the info is there. Otherwise, the hotel is fine. It offers basic breakfast, but no dinner. The room was fine, though could do with being painted and bed was comfortable. All in all, it was fine, but I would do my research before booking.

Dirty bathrooms, scratched bed furniture, no air conditioning when outside it’s 30 Celsius and very rude personnel which is swearing you in Italian when you complain. Very far from Venice and train station. I guess how it got 4 stars, it doesn’t deserve even 1.

The room was dirty when we checked in. We arrived early before check in time, and we left our things in the lobby and went to the city. We went back at night and we waited a long time to get out key card, and when we got to the room it was dirty. The fridge smell horrible, and there were stains in it. On the table were bread crumbs and over all it wasn't clean. The bathroom wasn't easy to shower in because there was no curtain and the water was everywhere

I stayed with my family for a day and it was pleasant. Here are the pros and cons,
Pros:
1. Comparatively worth the money
2. Clean and comfortable with air condition
3. Good spread for the complimentary breakfast
4. Have community parking available just opposite and around the hotel. Free from 8 pm to 8 am.
5. At nice location. Plenty of shopping around.
Cons:
1. Charged 6.20 Euro as city tax which was not mentioned during booking.
2. No free parking at Hotel
3. Toilet lid was very old, need replacement. Unable to close the window door causing bit noisy.

Our tour stayed here for two nights and it was fantastic. The staff were so welcoming and friendly we were surprised as we’d been to two other hotels where this was not the case! The rooms are clean, bright, cozy and roomy. Bathroom nicely laid out and clean. Very modern and updated. Dinner was fabulous and our first one where you heard laughter and fun from the whole group. Again the staff were so nice and helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also a wonderful experience with some hot food included, wow. Nice bar and good selection. Great location too!

We liked the Sirio hotel a lot. It was comparable to US hotels such as Holiday Inn and Hilton. The room was very nice and quiet. The breakfast had more than just fruit and bread, they had breakfast meats and scrambled eggs. The breakfast is included in the price of the room. The bathroom was nice but had only a very small shower. The in room blow dryer is not the same as in the states. It looked like a vacum hose that blew out cool air. There is an excellent pizzeria two doors down. Mestre is a much calmer, quieter, and less expensive town than Venice. At first we thought we should've gotten a hotel right in the heart of Venice, but Venice is very crowded and very expensive. The bus stop is a block from the Sirio and takes you to Venice in a half an hour. It was nice at the end of the day to leave the noise behind and go back to the quiet town of Mestre. Mestre is an easy town to find your way around. Parking was free. We recommend to leave your car in the free parking and take the bus to Venice as parking there is very expensive.

On January 2003, we did a 10 days tour to Italy, this hotel was the worst. If it was up to me I would take away at least 2**. The rooms were uncomfortable from the beds to the bathroom. Breakfast leave a lot to said no one in the group had a hot coffee in the two mornings we were there. I really do not recommend them at all. Maritza

Not sure about gluten free but I would imagine there will be some restaurants in the little square walking distance from hotel that would oblige . There is quite a variety of bars restaurants there it’s really nice old square . Might be worth asking staff at hotel they seemed very helpful hope this helps .
There is a bus that is 5 minutes walk from the hotel that takes you straight to the Venice water taxis. Ask at the hotel what is the bus number you need.
Hi, whatever you do in Venice you'll have a great time...my tips: if you're flying in...get a water taxi to your hotel if you're staying in the lagoon. It's eye-wateringly expensive but amazing. if you're staying at the sirio hotel in mestre, then the bus is very cheap and very frequent. I'd avoid any restaurants on the grand canal, just a few streets away you'll get better good and service at a fraction of the cost. The water bus is a great way to get around. murano is very close and worth a trip. As well as the main attractions...we found exquisite little churches hidden away which were every bit as spectacular! Hope you have a great time ☺
İt s very close to bus station and in the bus station there is a company they take you directly to airport more cheaper than taxi. But there are also public bus go to AirPort with in many stop and time.
