Excellent hotel, service and washroom. It was a taxi away from the city and we loved the location as we walked to the local mall for shopping and breakfast every morning. I would recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Venice to avoid the expensive hotels in Venice. Shower although was small it was quite functional.

We stayed at Voco Hotel, Mestre for 3 nights in September when EasyJet cancelled our flight the evening before our departure and offered us a return flight 3 days later.
We stayed in room 807 (my sister and her husband stayed next door in 809) on the 8th floor.
Our room was reasonable spacious, quiet and comfortable. It is a typical business hotel and there wasn’t much hanging space or drawers for clothes. There was a room safe, tea/coffee making facilities, large wall mounted TV, mini-fridge, complimentary bottles of mineral water daily, air con, free Wi-Fi. There was also a large exercise ball and exercise mat in a corner of our room which I had no intention of using and which took up quite a lot of room. Don’t know why this was in our room.
The bathroom was clean and modern with a large walk-in shower, a few complimentary toiletries in dispensers, nice large bath towels which were changed daily, a bidet and a hairdryer.
Staff everywhere were very kind and helpful.
Breakfast offered hot and cold buffet with an ample choice on offer.
Evening diner menu was a bit limited but there was always something you could find that you liked. I felt that main course prices were a little high for that sort of hotel.
This hotel is well located for traveling in to Venice with frequent public service buses running close by and easy access to the airport which the hotel can arrange at €40.

This hotel was our end of the cycling tour Bolzano-Venezia. We had additionally booked 3 extra nights to visit Venezia. (Not by bicycle!) Public transport (bus/tram) takes about 45 minutes from this hotel to Venezia and is very frequent. Roundtriptickets available at hotel reception à 3,00 EUR. Breakfast was of extensive international standard (instead of limited Italian). We had also dinner 2 times in the restaurant, where we appreciated the choices of the menu and the moderate price. One time inside and the second time outside on the terrace. Air-conditioned spacious room and rainshower in the bathroom.

Room Tip: Hotel has 9 floors, we were on 6th. No importance: Venezia is too far away to see from any window.

I picked this hotel, based on easy access to Venice Marco Polo, which cost 40 euros for the hotel transport. It satisfied the need for proximity, but otherwise, it's located in an industrial area, some way out of the centre of Mestre, which should be taken into consideration, for longer stays.

The room was entirely adequate, and there was a small mistake on check in, which the staff quickly rectified (provision of a second bed in the room, rather than a baby's cot). Good shower pressure, comfortable bed, very clean etc.

Breakfast was also good, and excellent value. The member of staff did not appear aware of the rate we had been offered by the front desk, although this didn't seem to be a problem, and was honoured upon check out.

Dinner was let down somewhat by provision of a QR code menu only (no printed menus). Whilst I appreciate there are reasons to have this set up, I don't feel that having no back up whatsoever is a particularly sensible option. Whilst the meals themselves were good, the drinks were very expensive (6.50 euros for what was meant to be 400ml of draft beer, but which was actually less than this).

Overall, this is a business hotel, in a relatively remote location, although it is accessible. I came away feeling that various aspects of it were somewhat on the pricey side, however.

Stayed here for a week last April with my wife, really nice hotel with large and very comfortable bed, nice and modern. A little out from Venice but bus stop within a 2 min walk and also train station nearby, it did require getting a bus and tram to get to island of Venice but transport is very cheap and and efficient service so didn’t bother us at all. Food in the hotel was hit and miss and some of the staff could do with improvement in terms of dealing with customers but the majority were nice. Shopping centre nearby and also some nice food venues nearby.

Good new hotel close to the highway and the airport. I like the style of the voco brand - simple but most stylish than holiday inn (although this particular property had finishings of much lower quality than Voco in Johannesburg where I recently stayed). Breakfast above average, quiet and efficient a/c, most comfortable bed and pillows during my Italy trip.

Reception seemed to be unaware of IHG Diamond status benefits (eg free breakfast as a welcome amenity) and only upgraded room upon request

Some travelers were displeased about a water maintenance scheduled at very short notice. Photo attached. The question arises as to what a traveler should do if he arrives late and may not be able to shower or use the toilet from 8 AM to 6 PM in the morning. In such cases, guests must have their rates drastically reduced. Not here.

Response from Giorgia Gasparini, Owner at voco Venice Mestre - The Quid, an IHG Hotel
Responded 31 Aug 2024
Dear Traveler_follower, We are sorry to read about the lower score you assigned to us. We are sorry that there was a sign of alert about water maintence with such short notice, but this kind of maintence is run by the city and they only informed us the day before. The advise clearly stated that the water "might" not be running properly between 08.00 am and 06.00 PM as we did not know the exact time they would operate. Not that the water would not be available all day. Front desk staff is always available to clarify any doubts you might have had about that. Regarding your comment about compensation or rate reduction this is indeed an action we would have taken upon check-out in case problems occured. In the end nothing really happened and the water was only stopped for 2 minutes early afternoon. We can assure you that we did not receive any complaint about it. We are sorry if you think this compromised you stay, Rest assured that we have taken your comments seriously and will be used as basis of our improvement. in the future. if you want you can contact us at info@quidhotelvenice.com kind regards Giorgia Gasparini Hotel manager

I was “put up” here by Delta airlines when my flight out of Venice was cancelled. The staff is competent and helpful. They were friendly and offered suggestions on things to do in the area, even walking out into the parking lot in the extreme heat to show me which way to walk to get to the nearby shopping mall.
The food in the restaurant was very good and the service was friendly and efficient.
The room was very clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The bed was cozy. I even managed to get a nap in during the day.
While it is a bit far from the train station there is a bus stop nearby. And they offer a shuttle to the airport by reservation. I think you can’t go wrong staying here.

Room contains a desk, 2 seater couch, mini fridge (with complimentary tinned water), large flat screen TV, safe, tea and coffee making facilities. Very good shower and bath room. Extremely professional and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast available. Easy access to public transport for travel into Venice. Mestre Central is 3kms away. Safe bicycle paths into the town centre. The nicest hotel of our trip. Comfortable bed and good size room. Modern and comfortable. Breakfast had many choices. Very satisfied. Walked to the Shopping Mall that was near by and picked up gifts for friends back home.
The only downside is the distance from Venice. Unless you wake up early you are not going to get a bus nearby that goes directly to Venice. Because we only had one day in Venice we asked the hotel to call a taxi. A taxi is 15 minutes and 35 Euros and a bus takes over an hour. The taxi came quickly.
Coming back it took a while to get a taxi at 8:00 pm to return to the hotel.
